I have two things to say. First of all, if Jimi Hendix was a "god", then Joe is nothing less than a major deity. The second thing I have to say is that I am a big fan of Joe's music, since my mother introduced me to is when I was ten. It would be cool to see Joe pick like ten random fans and teach them the secrets of shred metal. PS Im purchasing one of the JS guitar series, the black JS-100.

Joe. What do you do before a show to get your mindset right and ready to play, what gets you pumped up for a performance. By the way, I saw you in Atlanta. I love the feeling and emotions you put into playing.

Looks like I'll get "Fable" tomorrow seeing as...well seeing as it hasn't arrived today even though it was in first class mail...Royal Mail can bite my ass...

Also sad news, the British hostage held in Iraq, Kenneth Bigley is suspected have been killed in the same barbaric way as the previous hostages, thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Ways Our Lives Would Be Different Without Numbers

5> You have this nagging feeling that there should be a simpler way to describe to your hooker the concept of mutual, simultaneous oral sex.

4> You never know how much beer you're going to get in that N-pack.

3> The Jackson Five would be known as "Fistful of Jacksons."

2> Instead of binary code, computers use "monkey head-no monkey head" code.

and the Number 1 Way Our Lives Would Be Different Without Numbers...

1> Sammy Hagar just can't drive at all.

Can someone please post a setlist. From the other reviews sounds like a great show, but very few songs listed. I think its fantastic that joe is no longer cluttering up his set with crush of love, satch boogie and summer song. Dont get me wrong, I love the songs, but he has played them all on every tour I've seen him on since '95 and its good (from what I understand anyway) that he's playing some of the stuff he hasn't played live in years

Yoda - I know Dub very well.... I practically lived there for 6 months a few years ago....

and I was pretty much adopted by the natives... along the lines of::::

"Clarky... yerconchya... yer nod a bad paddy fer 'n English foker".. lol..

mikesb - I agree... a tribute to your heros could be cool... if I was a good enough player I'd do one myself.... lmao....

but yeah, when the artist is still writing and recording, what's the point... their best may still be yet to come.....

Stace - yup... kissing stubble.... ouch.....

but stubble on a muffin is cruel.... it's like wrapping a kids icecream with barbed wire... lmao....

mmmmmm.... ouch...... mmmmmm. doh... mmmmmmm... aaauuugg...

962 - I'd gladly tell a Brazilian.. "oi... bird... no... don't fink you can come round my house with a muff like a 6 year olds..."

Zen - the latest mix of Artaud is my best.. so now it's done... this is a track I really hope you'll like...
mowlie - you like putting green... well I guess at least that shows signs of a propper woman... lol...

do you wear protective clothing when you flange dive though... them lil' short uns can be pretty sharp... lol..

think of the tobacco as:

organic dental floss....

weeeyyyhaaayyyy...

Stu clone - Our Blood is not really a prog track in the Yes, Genesis, Rush sense... lmao...

it's just a story in 4/4...

I do have prog tracks that I've writen in a host of unpleasant time signatures..... but that was a different band.. different vibe...

glad you're into the tune though.... thanx..

slansh - secret organisations at the top running everything??... the world will never work any other way... I think it's pretty obvious.... and that's been the case for thousands of years....

if I understand you right... a vacuum does have energy... because there is really no such thing as a perfect vacuum... even in deep space... because it will still contain background radiation from the big bang... so.. the vacuum has stuff in it... not much stuff.. and it is mostly sub-atomic.. but stuff none the less... and energy=stuff x the square of the speed of light

but I don't see how energy measured in a vacuum relates to the dark forces that actually control the greater part of the sociology and economics of the Earth.. lol..

Stace - yeah... lmao... awesome... I wish my solos could make all the girlies 'down there' tingle...

I'd be like in a tingle fest gig and selling special edition panty liners along with the tour t-shirts for the drippy ones... lmao..

all the tour dates printed down one side.. lol..

"ooh my... I was just sooo drippy when he was playing Requiem"
"oh please..me too... I had to get another liner during the drum solo.."
"did you get the tour one or the website one?"
"I just had to get both... and I've got an aftershow pass.. I'm gonna get him to sign the one I'm wearing.."
"the freshly dripped in one??"
"yeah.. I can't wait.."
"that is just soooo cool.. hehee.. I'm jealous.."

roll on being famous..... lmao..

Yoda - the thing that gets me in Dub is "yer man".. and both guys know who the other is talking about... lol... telepathy does in fact exist... in Éire..

"Oi see yer man the other day in ther pub"
"oh yeah?.. so how's he doin' after the operation?.."
"oh great yeah.. says he'll call yer"
"and was he with yer man?"
"yeah.. he was aksing after you and yer man.."
jeeeeez.....

bahduh - Do you have a credit card? I was looking at CD Universe's international shipping page...the prices are a little high, but they aren't outrageous.

For $12 extra for the first disc and $3 extra for each additional disc, you can have something shipped from the US to India in 4-6 days (plus a few days for the Indian postal system to ship it to you). It would be expensive if you only ordered one thing, but if you ordered several CDs then the shipping cost per item would be lower (even though the overall price would be higher). How much do CDs usually cost in India? What's the name of your currency (so I can compare it to the US dollar)?

I have not heard DT's Eve. I did a quick Google search, and it looks like the song is a non-album track that is only on a single that I don't have. What is the song like?

The songs on Live At Budokan aren't really different from the way they appear on the original albums, but I do think they sound better. If you go here and click on the orange musical notes on the left side of the track listing, you can listen to sound clips.

jelly man - Live In Japan / Once In A Livetime isn't yet out in the UK? Man...that DVD is awesome as well. ;-) I love the commentary track on the first disc.

I probably won't get to listen to Rhythm Of Time until early next week. I'll make a post here whenever I finish listening to it.

opticalstudio - "Pitch axis" is also called "parallel modulation".

I am a new member and was searching around on the site for the answer to my question but I could not find it. So I will ask it. Are there any plans for Mr. Satriani to make a DVD with Deep Purple? I would love to see one and I am sure many other fans would as well. Thanx Joe for all the great music. You inspire me and many others like me to be the best that we can be.

Magazine Names 100 Worst Riffs, Solos Oct 8, 11:11 AM EST The Associated Press

Is Poison that bad? Listen & download

He may be known for his over-the-top antics but Poison guitarist C.C. DeVille has another claim to fame: his "Guitar Solo" has been named the worst of all time by Guitar World magazine.

The magazine selected the "100 Worst Riffs, Licks & Solos of All Time," identifying ones that are "lazy," "boring," "just plain stoopid," or "involve C.C. Deville."

The list includes songs by David Bowie, Def Leppard, Metallica, Green Day, B.B. King, The Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Aerosmith and The Strokes, among others. Many are guitar legends who simply had a bad night or bum note.

Guitar World describes DeVille's nine-minute solo "completely devoid of taste, structure or steady tempo" and recommends every budding guitarist listen to it because "surely, they can't do any worse."

DeVille was also cited for his "Cherry Pie" solo when he played with Warrant and Poison's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn."

The magazine recommends DeVille "take solace in the fact that he's in some rather good company."

Rounding out the top 10: "Summertime Blues," Blue Cheer; "The Game of Love," Carlos Santana; Falstaff beer 1967 radio spot, Cream; "All You Need is Love," The Beatles; "Thirsty and Miserable," Black Flag; "Wango Tango," Ted Nugent; "Ain't Too Proud to Beg," Rolling Stones; "Sting of the Bumblebee," Manowar; and "American Woman," Lenny Kravitz.

The list appears in the magazine's December issue.
