Hello everybody, I was lucky enough to catch the show in orlando last week, and Joe was incredible as always! I was wondering if anyone got the platinum passes and if so how was the experience?

optical studio: Nice to know you belong to the elite class of GT6 users. That thing is a tank! Its so sturdy that I used to think of practicing ballet on it. Anyways, have you made up any of your own patches? The one I used the most is on patch 77. Its called Ultra Clean, but i made it Ultra Dirty. I put the distortion on MT-2, full gain...EQ turned up almost all the way, some reverb, Delay to suit needs, some chorus, Compressor on, Preamp set on Fender twin and set to original speakers. Bass around 80, treble around 70 and middle around 75. You can ultra sharp distortion often used in death Metal. When you switch off the EQ, you can get a tone similar to Vai. I also have one that sounds exactly like the tone from Whitewash (buckethead). If you have a good Satriani tone, please me know. On patch ten however, there is a tone called Cryin, which sounds exactly like the tone from Joe's Cryin. I hope Joe reads this and confirms whether it is true or my hearing simply sucks! Cheers!

My name is Elizabeth and my "good-friend," TIM WEBLEY, is a huge fan! You may remember signing his Steve Vai custom at the Tower Records here in Hoffman Estates... ...I even found him an autographed pic of you for him for christmas... ...I have bought tickets for us to see you OCT 22, at the House of Blues in Chicago...

Our relationship is a little undetermined at this time, and I was hoping if you could say a word or two about how "Once you find love, you shouldn't let it go " or something to that effect with his name -- it would show him how much I care and what I'm willing to go through for him -- which is needless to say, BEGGING you for a little help.

I'm sorry this message will be written everyday 'til the 22, since I'm not sure when or if you will even see this. Sorry for the annoyance.

Hey all, I have just got back to the UK after a week in Florida. Wow !! I got to see Joe 3 times, Orlando , Clearwater and Jacksonville. I had such a great time, the shows were amazing, the set list was great , a mix of everything. I really enjoyed hearing Motorcycle Driver, Psycho Monkey, Strange. Sleepwalk is amazing live, great tone, very smooth. Everyone was so friendly, made me feel very welcome, Thanks !

I had the Platinum Ticket for Clearwater . Worth every cent. I got to stand on stage infront of Joe's pedals. It was so cool to look out and see what Joe would be seing later, i got to check out Joe's guitars , his amps, speak with Zen Master !!!! John Iverson who looked after us on the tour and meet and greet was the nicest guy, so helpful , he even got me a set list . If anyone is unsure about the Platinum tickets , just go for it. The experience is unique and intimate. Meeting with Joe was very informal , he took time to sign anything and everything. Some only took a minute or two , others had tons of questions, no one was rushed , Joe was happy to answer it all

So thanks to all who made me feel at home in your country on my mini Joe Satriani Tour, I can't wait to do it all again !!!

I just got back from the Staffordshire Uni open day...and ooooooooo is it nice there. The accomodation is quite cheap, but the rooms are like prison cells...oh well its only sleeping and night-time "activities" that will be going on in there anyway.
Two bars on campus, plus loads of clubs and stuff like that. Over 2000 top of the range computers and a great recording studio.
Anywayz, atleast it isn't a giant council estate :-)

Good morning to all! Joe & the boys kept the crowd standing for 3 hours at The Beacon in NYC last night. Joe wore a black tee with blue jeans, and some very cool red wrap around sunglasses to match his Candy Apple Red JS1000. He also played a White JS model & Chromeboy came out to play too...no flame though.

Always an honor to experience "The World's Greatest Rock Guitarist". If only Joe could throw pics to the 12th row.

Extended jams with some Hendrix flavour....trippy lights at certain periods of the show. Damn "The Beacon" for it's poor acoustics...sooo boomy....maybe if I had been closer to the stage...like I was for G3 last year...2nd row center...the bass would'nt have had a chance to climb the hard cathedral ceilings, and swirl uncontrolably. The open air venue of Jones Beach sounded so much crisper.

Thanks Joe & the band, for another great performance. Peace & Love! Stevee T.

PS HEY JOE....when's the next CD due...I know......you haven't even finished promoting "Is There Love In Space", but you've gotta have a bunch of tunes just waiting to get to our ears...don'tchyu?

Happy Sunday to everyone! I've had a really good weekend so far with lots of things done.

I saw in the paper that Michael Schenker Group will be in town in November. Naturally I will be out of town that day... I'll be in Denmark, competing in the Ladies Eurotour, something I wouldn't trade for the world but it's still annoying.

I listened to NOTE yesterday (the real album this time, not John Fogerty lol). It was okay, there's a nice little acoustic feeling about it. I've heard a few of the songs before in different versions so it was interesting to hear the originals. I don't think it will be my fav album though, I like the heavier Joe better (think The Extremist).

Still waiting for my T2J-cd to arrive, hopefully it will be here this week.

It's good to read all the enthusiastic reviews from the shows, I get VERY envious... I wish I had tons of money so I could just get over there and see all the shows! Maybe in my next life lol.

Be well people! :)

Edit: Spelling...

Hi Joe:

First off, I want to say that I saw you last night at the Beacon in NY and I was truly mezmerized...You will forever be burned into my memory as the BEST guitarist on the PLANET!

Also I want to say THANK YOU for helping me get through my break-up. If it weren't for you JOE, I don't think I would have done it. Your music has changed my life and feel like a new person because of it. I am able to focus on my music career without any obstacles :) And when my band finally does make it- hopefully we can stand side by side on stage together. Until then...keep ROCKIN!!! jazzy The Ladies Eurotour is a series of 9-ball pool tournaments and this season is the first ever for women. The men have had a Eurotour for several years. The overall winner of the tour and those down to 5th or 10th place automatically get a spot in the World Championships, so it's a real opportunity! It's also very exciting for me to finally get out and compete internationally, it's about time! lol

How was your weekend?

Off to do some homework...

Jelly Man - Yes we will!!! How about Thursday evening? We'll go out for a beer or two; call/text me.

Delfino - Cool. It's half term next week, so I don't have to teach at the school - that's when I'll record those things for you.

Clarky - ACtually, I really liked the fact that we had a female vocal; as you say it was something very different that really worked. I think the trouble was that her voice wasn't quite powerful enough, though. I'm actually hoping that we get another female singer, but with a slightly more suited dynamic. Maybe someone like Skin or Christina Aguilera. We are actually auditioning two chicks, as well as two guys (one of whom used to sing in a Metallica tribute band), so we'll see how that works out. Fingers crossed...

wonderdog: I bought the platinum passes and the experience was great. Unless you have meet and greet passes and a front row seat that is. THe platinum tickets we got our pictures taken and had a chance to talk to Joe for a minute or two after the show, front row seats, and got our pictures taken next to Joe's guitar rack on stage (you can see chrome boy in it - heh). But the front row seat is what really made, I could picture sitting way in the back and know it wouldnt be the same. Next time around I am definately getting the platinum again.
