Zinc Master, cool, yeah it seems that real international relations are a little sweeter these days. I know Putin and Blair have been working quite closely together.

I find it really interesting, cuz my research, out of personal interest, makes me feel that Russia is now one of the most respectable nations on the planet and is a nation a lot of us should be looking up to. I hope it builds itself a stronger economical foothold to get out of the poverty rut.

Awesome, my mum's just bought Farenheit 9/11 on DVD, can't wait to watch it. Think i'll do that tomorrow.
edit:

cuthbert, I kinda meant both goverment and people, cause I've heard very mixed american views on Russia. But then some of those, including that of my bro-in-law, were from people who served in the US military during the cold war, so that's bound to shape one's opinion, somewhat.

What does the US think of France, or is that a touchy subject? It's funny, people (especially in the UK, the tabloid press) are always quick to slander the French and say they're lazy and so on, but I've noticed that whenever there is a humanitarian aid crisis, for example, the French are the first on the scene actually doing something.

Do the stu: Honestly, I dont give a shit about looking at sources for a Bush joke. My opinion about it wasnt a serious one (nothing I would lose sleep over) and I dont have the time researching about something so miniscule. The sad part is (and 962 agrees with me!) the joke was actually complementing Bush's intelligence! DUDE! I know youre a smart guy and will be voting Kerry for our next President! Glad to see another democrat.

Another opinion about the Bush support joke: Whats the big deal in saying you have a big dick? Maybe Bush is compensating for his small brains...hehe :)

oops, double post.

Cuthbert: How old were you when you were in Junior High? Was little Bush president? I guess not. So probably the joke was complementing some other President. Republicans added his name just to feel better about themselves >:O

Bush Jokes :)

Asked by his teacher to compare three presidents Johnny thought for a moment and said: "Well, George Washington couldn't tell a lie. Richard Nixon couldn't tell the truth. And George W. Bush can't tell the difference."

The discovery that Bush's resting heart rate is 43 has led some observers to speculate that this is the first time we've had a president with a heart rate that matches his IQ.

What do golf and Florida elections have in common? Low score wins.

3 Sharks meet in the ocean. They talk about the people they recently have eaten. The first one says: I swallowed the Ayatollah yesterday, but the guy had eaten so much garlic I still feel sick. The second shark says: That's nothing pal! I swallowed Boris Jelzin last week and the old guy had so much vodka in him that I'm still drunk. The 3rd shark laughs and said: You lucky guys! I swallowed George W. Bush 3 weeks ago and the guy has so much air in his head, I still can't dive!

Three brothers Neil, Jeb and Dub, were stumbling home late one night and found themselves on the road that led past the old graveyard.

"Come have a look over here", says Neil, "It's Obidiah Jones' grave, God bless his soul, he lived to the ripe old age of 87."

"That's nothing", says Jeb, "here's one named Butch Smith. It says here that he was 95 when he died."

Just then, Dub yells out, "But here's a fella that died when he was 145 years old!"

"What was his name?" asks Neil.

Dub lights a match to see what else is written on the stone marker, and exclaims, "Miles, from Austin."

George W. Bush takes his fancy new hot air balloon out for a ride. After soaring over the country side for an hour he realizes he is lost. After spotting a young girl on a farm below he descended and shouted, "Hey little girl, can you help me? I promised a friend an hour ago I would meet him, but I don't know where I am." The young girl replies, "You are in a hot air balloon over my daddy's corn field making a racket and scaring the chickens!" Peeved, Bush says, "Your daddy must be a Democrat." "He is," says the girl, "but how did you know that?""Well," answers Bush, "everything you told me is technically correct, but I still have no idea what to make of your information, and the fact is I am still lost. You aren't being much help." The girl below responds, "You must be a Republican." "I am," replies Bush, "but how did you know?" "Well," says the girl, "You're way up there full of hot air looking down on the world, you don't know where you're at and you don't know where you're going. You promised something to somebody you can't deliver on, and you were in this spot before we met but somehow your predicament is all my fault."

dave...thanks man....ya know...listening to the song bamboo right now...i totally underrated this song the first time i litsened to it...it really is one hell of a piece of music! hearing it live gave me a whole new respect and appreciaton for it! i think my biggest problem as a writer/player is i tend to stick with a melody instead of venture off from time to time just to play...and hear what i'm feeling in the song outside of the melody. too much noodeling can be repetitious...however so can a melody...joe seems to balance it quite well...in bamboo the rhythm IS a melody...it's just a great mix...

Optical Studio: Dude, with the hard work you put into the recording, I would love to buy an album! I am still listening to your music as we speak. I love what you have done with the GT-6. Some of the stuff is real trippy, exactly how I like it. I dont think your dyslexia comes in the way of your creative mind. Your picture on the website shows you with a re d guitar. What kind is it? I use a fender deluxe amp. Its loud! have you see satriani during this tour? I cannot wait for the chicago triology!

Suzie, yeah it's working out good thanks. I wish I had a little more money cause I really want to load it with decent pickups. The Ibanez stock ones lack any sense of character. I also want to put locking tuners on it. oh well, good things come to those who wait! hehe
Anybody want a Tubescreamer? TS9 with SnSFX chipset to make it sound like original!

cuthbert1776 - "he "To Russia with Glove" joke has been around at least since I was in Junior High school (Reagan years)."

I figured it was a Cold War joke. Thanks for the info...

jazzzzzzzy - "I dont give a shit about looking at sources for a Bush joke. My opinion about it wasnt a serious one (nothing I would lose sleep over) and I dont have the time researching about something so miniscule."

That has nothing to do with it. Everyone here knows you don't like Bush. It gets old seeing you try to come up with ways to insult him in every one of your posts, especially when the content has absolutely nothing to do with him.

"I know youre a smart guy and will be voting Kerry for our next President! Glad to see another democrat."

Funny.

I can't see myself ever voting for a Democrat. About nine months ago, I also decided that I won't be voting for Bush.

matt king - "it really is one hell of a piece of music! hearing it live gave me a whole new respect and appreciaton for it!"

It's about time!!! ;-) I've loved the song since I first heard a clip of it on the Sony site... I can't wait to hear it live in December.

churpio - Yes, the dates in the road section are official.

...Austin...

Boyd......I picked up a Mexican-made Flame Maple Fender Strat a while back and I have'nt used anything else since. I'm finding that the Ibanez RGT42 is a bitch to keep in tune if the strings have been gigged more than once.....it's a lot of needless aggravation when I need an axe that'll stay in tune....so she's just a back-up guitar now. Anyhoo...we just started a new band a little while ago called "Tornado Alley"....we're doing a lot of classic stuff.....Cream....Hendrix...Pink Floyd....the crowd is diggin' it.....they'd rather hear that than any new music coming off the radio........Peace, Dave
