it's a little thin to start a war based on "known evidence" of WMDs that are STILL to be found, then you get the

US Army doing its job... sad reallly.... it's no doubt that Blair is a pussy & Bush's bitch, but why diss the British for it? They didn't do anything about that. They just misguidedly voted for the cunt.

webmaster - "("member since xx/xx/xx")"

What if you modified that slightly, to a "Posting at T2J since..."...? If you did that, would you be able to have the site automatically look up the date of someone's first post to get the date?

Some of the regulars here would have the same date (the date you launched this version of T2J back in 2002), but that wouldn't be a big deal. If it was a problem, well, there are probably only 10-20 people who have been here that long...so even if you wanted to update those few manually it wouldn't be that difficult. One of us could collect a list of names and dates to make it easier for you, too.

Regardless of how it's done, I think a "Member since..." thing is a great idea.

Also...are you planning on going to one of Joe's shows at the Warfield? I know that's still a few months from now, but I thought I'd ask... I'll be at both shows (assuming a second one is added).

DelfinoPie - No problem...
cuthbert1776 - "Yes, I saw the universal TV on/off thingie. I thought it might be fun to take into an HH Gregg or Best Buy."

Hahaha...that'd be great. :-)

jazzzzzzzy - "You say your politics is in the middle of the road"

I have never said that. I have said I am not a Democrat or a Republican. It is not necessary to belong to a political party.

"you always seem to pick on Liberals and democrats"

I rarely (if ever) start political discussions on this board. I respond to comments that don't make sense. If the Republicans here would make posts criticizing Democrats in a way that makes no sense, I would say something about it. That doesn't happen as often as you and others post about Republicans, so it only makes sense that I respond to more of those posts.

My problem with Michael Moore has nothing to do with his political point of view. I have said that before (read my response to XtrChessReal).

Praising Michael Moore for pointing out Bush's supposed lies makes no sense, because Moore is just as deceptive as you claim Bush to be.

codaniel - The song is actually "Sleep Walk". It is on Strange Beautiful Music.
DamIMissNamm - When you respond to posts in the future, can you use the quote feature? It's easier for us to see what you're responding to and what your response is if you do things like that. Type (quote), copy the other person's text, and type (/quote). When you do it, though, use [ and ] instead of ( and ).

Thanks. :-)

Joe, you are "THE MAN!" I love your music. You have inspired me to play guitar. The song "Satch Boogie" was what changed my world. I saw you in Washington, DC on your Flying In A Blue Dream tour. It was the greatest concert I've ever seen. You did (7) encores. You came out after the last one and told everyone to go home, that you didn't know any more songs. Thank you for that experience. A dedicated fan, REDSKIN.

Steve Vai's Piano Reductions Volume I is now available...

Go here to preorder it:

http://stores.musictoday.com/store/dept.asp?dept_id=1741&band_id=340

The first 2,000 preorders will receive a print of Steve's handwritten "The God Eaters" score.

I just placed my order...

If anyone else orders this, can you let me know if the score print is mentioned on the checkout screen or in your order confirmation email?

Steve is using MusicToday for this presale. The manager of the Dave Matthews Band owns that company...whenever I preorder DMB-related CDs that come with bonus items, the bonus items are always mentioned on the checkout page. This Steve Vai score wasn't mentioned in my order confirmation, so I want to make sure I'll still receive it.

Thanks in advance for any help with this...

DamnIMiss'Nam: even better than what Austin said, use the italic tags for quoting, rather than the quote ones, as the quote tags make for annoying layout issues. As I recall, they were included in the T2J thing so that people could type tabs in a fixed width font. But hey, it's up to you.

Clarky: very funny! So there aren't any countries in the "World Series", unless you're talking about 1 day cricket back in the day, which used to have 3 countries at a time. (It's not called that any more.) Maybe we should start submitting teams for our countries to play in this "World Series" that doesn't actually have any countries competing in it.

If anyone wants to do the same?Go to the begining of the old archives & press "Ctrl"+"F" and you will get a page surfer. Then type in your nickname. That should work.

Thanx for the answer John.I will try to help as much as posible if you want to try this......Jblaze1

DamnIMissNamm, for your info, neither you, nor you grandparents, saved anyone from Hitler. They obviously didn't teach you this bit in school, but a late education is free for the first 6 months - Hitler shot himself in the face. He went absolutely f*ck*ng nuts, and shot himself.

And in case you forget, you are british deep down. You're all sorts of European. You are descended from the european sons-of-bitches who invaded the americas and shot everything that moved. And you might not give a shit what the rest of the world thinks of your policies, but I know a massive number of american people who do give a shit. Capiche?

Nobody has asked the US to defend them either. The US government has decided it will 'defend people'. And those of us in the free world understand that those statements, those promises, are all just a front for a dark hidden agenda.

And Jazzzzzzy is absolutely right. You do need to be concerned what the rest of the world thinks. America is a part of the world as a whole. America does not stand alone, unaffected and unaffecting from the world around it. The actions taken and decisions made by US government, and massive US international corporations like Coca-Cola, McDonalds and GM, have huge consequences on the rest of the globe.

To say "who gives a shit what everyone else thinks" clearly indicates that you think your country and your political actions as a part of that country, won't affect the rest of us.

WRONG.

This is what I was on about a while back when I said that Bush is going to get us all killed.

Jazzzzzzy, no I haven't heard 'em bro. Should I check 'em out?
cuthbert, yeah bearing your comment in mind, i'm inclined to agree. My mistake - the media (and not just in the US) has been skewed much longer than George W has been in office. although, that said, wth his cousin running Fox News, it's got to play a part in the reporting of important matters?
NewsMan, haha, love it! Misguided is about right - had we have known that this would all have happened, and Tony would go along as Bush's stool pigeon, I don't think we would have voted him in as PM. I kinda hope the Liberals get it this time - Charles Kennedy would be a good laugh in office.
Austin, so what if Moore is as deceptive as we claim Bush to be? Moore isn't the one running the country and most of the world. Moore isn't the one with his finger stroking the trigger of the gun aimed at the head of the rest of planet.

Oh, and on a ligher note, first 2000 orders will recieve a print of Steve's handwritten score? What a con!

I'm up early and man, was Satch in top form. Loved every minute of it. 2 more shows to go. Hope they are as good.

962: You are absolutely right in your post to DammMissNamm. When our catastrophic "president" (aka buffoon) wants support to go to war, people like DammMissNamm are singing songs of praise to supporting countries. Thats when the whole world matters. But when countries like France do not show support, they start boycotting. And then they come and say "who gives a shit what you think." Ironic.

DammMissNamm: Ok, thats great that you served in the army. Its a brave thing to do and I respect that because Prez George Bush will not send his daughters even though he is the "commander in chief." But tell me, do you even have the slightest respect for Bush after he decided to continue having strong ties with the Saudi's BUT boycotted the French? Dont you think the French have more credibilty than the Saudi's??? Can you trust such a president?

And yeah, Bill O Reilly can eat shit and bark at the moon.....

962: Porcupine Tree is an amazing band from Britain. If you get a chance get In Absentia. Seriously, its one of the greatest prog rock bands today. Also, if youre in the mood of some dark and soulful guitar playing along with chilling lyrics, get Opeth's Damnation. Trust me, you will love these albums! Check em out!

Song of the day: Trains by Porcupine Tree

Buckethead's Colma and Stephen King's Apt Pupil go hand in hand. It's freaky. Big Sur, California (gulp!)

I do care what the world thinks, but it's still the American people who vote not the world community. The world will always find fault in America. And yes the UK asked us to defend her when Hitler was bombing in ww2 as well as the French after he rolled in without firing a shot.

Jazzzzzy is wrong! He has taken my comments out of context. My point was and still is that it is up to the American people to pick a leader, not world opinion.

Yes Hitler killed himself, but only after being crushed back to Berlin.

Jazzzzy, I served in the Navy in the Nuke sub program. You still haven't answered my question did you serve?

What A Great Show Last Night !!

Just Got Up !!

Jazzy - how was back stage?

Achoo - did you have a good time?

We got inside about 6:15 or so.

We were about 30 feet from the stage, on the left side of the stage.

I had never been to HOB before - it is a very small venue - the levels are neat - but the floor is pretty small.

I cannot wait until Saturday night - platinum package night !!

Good morning!

It's a new world. The war on terrorism is a different type of conflict. The patriot act sucks but, it is a first draft. The terror alert system sucks but it a pioneering system. The comments that people (not necessarily you) spout off criticizing these and other new actions taken by our current admin, is the point I was making yesterday about Monday morning quarterbacks
