Hello!
I saw EWJS last week in Columbus, Ohio, my 4th Satch event. I have to say that while Joe was amazing as usual, I found that ultimately there was disappointment in a few elements of the show.
First, Matt Bisonnette seems to hadicap the band. His presence up there just doesn't fit well with the other musicians, and I truly believe his involvement limits the set list and also the quality of any impromptu jamming, because he simply isn't capable of keeping up with Joe and Jeff.
Second, I would really love to know if Galen is any good. (I am sure he is a monster in his own right) They need to put him in the mix! I saw him playing, but barely heard a note from him all night. He didn't contribute anything to the evening for me or my friends. He isn't great looking, didn't play super cool guitars, didn't wear groovy clothes, wasn't very present or confident onstage and most of all, we couldn't hear him!
Lastly I was slightly disappointed in the set list, but was thrilled to hear "Hordes of Locusts." Great choice.
All in all I'd still rate the experience a B+ just because I got to hear Joe and Jeff again.
Jeff is hilarious. Especially the way he rolls his eyes during Satch's Outros From Hell. Anyway, great job Joe, but get Stu back!

Zen - Martin Taylorr is very Django-ish... I recommend you check him out.... if you like Django you'll love this guy...
he blows me away.... personally I find his note selecltion astonishing...
he has a lovely bright personality to his playing too...
962 - funny thing about that guy in Bournemouth... didn't he say that he wasn't going to the gig?... lmao....
Delfino - Malm riffs can be real tricky... try learning the riffs from Marching Out... some are really really nice... and some actually sound nicer played much slower because they contain so much melodic content....
if you don't know already... he tunes to Eb
SaaTcHm0 - keep up the good work in Iraq...
we're all rootin' the US and UK troops over there...
stay safe bro...
fablawer - thanx bro.... when I get on a 'fast' LAN connection I'll download it......
Slansh - do you have any particular style you want me to play over the Phoenix backing track... ??
would you prefer me playing dirty or clean???
Yoda - yeah... I thought it was the Extremist one too... all neon colours?????
well at least I got the 'George' bit right.... lol....
either way though... it was funny as fuck...
adrianorb - funny as fuck.... lol..
yoda / 962 - and George Clinton is....
one of the godfathers on the funk....
Michelle - lmao... you can't go 'round saying "I'm hanging".. lmao...
In Manchester [the UK one] "hanging" means seriously ugly...
hands up who's looking forward to Bush's 3rd term... lol..
cutie lil' song of the day
Cyberwaste by Fear Factory... yummie....

cuthbert: Piss off dude. In no way, shape or form would I ever even dare to call the majority of these white trash punks informed. They voted for one reason, and you know what it is. I will not repeat it. If you dont know what it is, you can make one up. I am biased, but for a reason. I believe I am much better informed and take an active or least attempt to make a rational choice rather than blindly following rednecks like Bush. I grew up in 5 different countries, including the middle east. I think I have seen more of the world than "my fellow Americans." I may seem arrogant and stubborn, but during times like this, it's the best way out.

Adrián, I hope you had a fun day, and thanks for adding us to your celebration :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK!!
Civgeek, PA is a beautiful state and I love it here. Crime happens everywhere. I was just trying to make a point that's it's not all "made up" in the movies. There are some serious crime issues in a lot of cities in the U.S. Reading just happens to be one that could use some improvment. lol! The bigger cities will have a higher crime rate. Philly is a beautiful city, but some neighborhoods are aweful and very dangerous. Pennsylvania is one of the most beautiful states on the map :) As for the railroad - I'm climbed over many trains in my day. I lived 2 blocks from the trains as a kid, and I work next to the main rails that run up and down the east coast. I couldn't tell you where to catch a passenger train around here though. lol! The Ho Ho Hut? LMAO!! It was the Hoo Hoo Hut! I have no idea what it is. It was on the page Benny posted the link to at the "the gorge". There is a place there called the Hoo Hoo Hut. Sounded funny as hell ;)

Clarky, maybe we should have a T2J hangin' hagg party? Don't bother dressing up. In fact, come in your bath robes and slippers. It'll be more fun that way ;-) Bedhead optional.
I meant I was doing fine and sticking around the house that day. LOL!

guitarnut, if you don't like us talking about politics, ignore us. It's almost as easy as wiping your own ass, but not quite!
Zinc Master, thanks for that. That's the one thing that isn't really clear here - whether or not the administration will get an overhaul. I mean, there's a whole bunch of speculation and "what if?s" but nothing much more than that. I hope the administartion does change, and I hope it's a well-educated one this time!
By the way, is the Star Wars trailer the same one they put on the Episodes IV-VI DVD box-set?
civgeek, The whole "War on Terrorism" thing I think is a crock. It is an excuse to rally support for another agenda. The fact that we are in Iraq has nothing to do with terrorism......so true man.....it really sucks that, for some people, it's the belief that the two are connected which made them vote Bush.
Jazzzzzzzy, amen on your hilarious post bro.
Also, you grew up in 5 different countries? Then you're absolutely right, you have seen more of the world than most of your fellow-americans. Statistically, 96% of American people do not have a passport, which means they have never left the USA. I think that is a good indicator of the lack of global awareness that some people have, like these "NASCAR dads" for example! hehe.
Before anybody drops a WMD down my throat (with stars-and-stripes painted on the side and "Made in the US-of-A" stamped on the warhead), i'm not saying that all american people have no gloabl awareness and making sweeping generalisations, but it is true to say that there's a lot of people, especially in Buttfuck Texas, who do not know where "Europe" is.

Sweep Picking thought
Anybody ever think of reverse stringing a guitar for sweep picking solo or maybe stringing up a double set of just the hi strings for interesting grouping of notes.
was just thinking about easier or possible ways to finger on the fretboard.

dck thanks bro... i'm gonna need your MAJOR help when i get there... re@ band names check out Dianogah's list... good luck, both with the name & with the gig!
michelle thanks mom! (isn't itweird that you're probably not old enough to be my mom that I call you mom?!?! lol)
AustiNitsuA thank you! :-)
Yoda they pulled a coup really. The almost unintelligible "wumfwumf" backing vox in the choruses are actually "singing" "what the fuck" and Radio 1 never knew lol
/\/\ikey D!!!!!!!!!!!! thanx bro!
matt no offence, but what would the domain name be? talk2joe-but-not-the-people-from-the-cd.com? why not just continue to release CDs under the banner we already have? like the original plan? there's tons of room for everyone. and it'd (IMHO) be better to have one name than countless others when people are effectively looking for the same thing? oh, and no - i'm not trying to advertise my web services - i always said i'm a developer NOT a designer. i'd like to hand over ASAP if that's ok with you. i just think one place for the same related material makes more sense than countless other places that people might forget. ask Mr Luini to advertise them all and this page'd be tiny! lol.. well you asked for feedback, that's mine.
cuthbert there're tons of gypsies near (and all over) here... we call em pikies, and if you want to buy anything you can specify make & model and it will be delivered within 30 mins... if you want to sell anything they'll buy that too, but check it's not fake money...
(i'm sorry i skipped 7 pages cos i'm not supposed to be here)
/\/\arK hippo birdy two ewes bro!!!
... and in closing... bye y'all! just sneaked in... will be right back as soon as I can - MARK - you are hereby CafePressLord (even though you were anyway! lol). I don't have access to email, except my gmail which will happily take messages for the next 1000 years (according to Google! lol). Bye. Dave
