962- re. my neighbours' (soon to be ex-neighbours soon hopefully, thank Christ) shagging... it was funny...for a short while. Not so funny however when you have to get up at 6.00 a.m., which I do, Mon- Fri. She was quite over the top as well! We are best out of that scenario, believe me, you try living above the *******!!! I must admit , I never did consider the option you suggested, of pissing through their letterbox. Damn. :-)

Hey Matt...Good to hear from you! Small World...Gabe just emailed me to say that they are aiming to schedule Jemfest for June to avoid all the HS Graduations that time of the year.

He also said that Steve Vai might unofficially show up! Did he or Joe show last year?

I emailed him to send him my website address & so he could check my Bio & sound bytes, and approve my request for entry to next year's Jemfest I checked our your site...very nice...you've play all over down there in Jersey. I used to play in Atlantic City at Resorts International...stayed in our Ocean Front Band house...that was GREAT! Ah those were the days.

I tried to stream your video from last year's Jemfest, but my Dinosaur 166 Pentium with my dial up modem is about as slow as a Frog's Fat Ass! Let's keep in touch! Thanks, Steve T.

Hi all.

I have a question! Does anyone know why Joe bridges the neck of ihs guitar with his right hand during the song "mystical potato head groove thing"?

it sounds great but i have no idea if he does it for a good reason or cos it looks flashy?

cheers

I'm wondering if the JS Ibanez guitar line may some day include left-handed models. I am left-handed and would like a model as such. I know that the Ibanez has other left-handed types.

Thanks.

Lord Iffy Boatrace, Joe's deadening the strings so his legato playing is unhampered.

DelfinoPie, Just heard the track...I like it! Sounds kinda Matrixy...it's cool...don't be so hard on yourself! Any other tracks that YOU do like?

Delfino, take it easy on yourself bro.......I feel like that about my stuff all the time, but for some reason, I keep playing it anyway. If you really don't like something, try and break it down to the concept that was the basis for the way you wrote it....maybe an idea or technique or a visualisation....whatever, that concept was good enough for you to go to the length of writing it the first time, but you didn't like the resulting sound. try keeping the concept, but starting again on the way you actually choose to portray it/write the tune!

Hope that makes sense?!

Suzie, i'm not surprised that you didnt consider pissing through their letter box. That'd be quite a challenge for a lady! hehe
jazzzzzy, I just looked for Michael Palin's travel documentaries on DVD at amazon.co.uk. It's all there. Himalaya isn't released yet, but it's up for pre-order. There's also a box-set of "The Michael Palin Collection" which I'd assume is all of the travel docu's, also not yet released.

They are, however, Region 2 and PAL screen format, but I'm sure that, in due course, they'll make it to region 1 and NTSC!

Himalaya finished this evening, including a trip through Bhutan. What a beautiful country. It is so peaceful and simplistic, built on some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world......I'm really inspired to find out about travelling there some day. Palin spent 6 months travelling round the Himalaya to make the documentary! Awesome!

Laters dude!

Stevee T Thanks, erm, I re-listened to one of my other tracks, the one called "Caverns"...I like the sound better in that one for some reason.

DCK Hehe man you got nothing to worry about. I've heard your stuff, its all good :-). I s'pose I need a better way of recording, like a mic or something at the moment I'm recording from my amp into the mic port on my pc, and it has its obvious problems lol.

962 Thanks man, I think I get your idea. If I don't like the way a song is going, break it down into its key elements and see if I can work on them till I get something I do like that fits that concept/theme?

Anywayz, thanks guys, the only way to go is up I s'pose :-)

hoiguy79 Hmm, usually when I upload I get a little pop-up window with a progress bar saying how much of it has been uploaded. After that it seems to work straight away.
I'd try again man, if you've got any kind of pop-up blocker on your web browser I'd turn it off, just in case.

Hope that helps

If you listened to Ricky Garcia's Satch interview, you heard that Joe wants to make a DVD from one of the shows in December. Does anyone here have any cool title suggestions? I thought of two the other day, so I thought I'd mention them here. I think "Live In Space" or "Is It Live In Space?" would be a cool titles that are both related to ITLIS?...

alexandrecaetano - "If you listening the song, it has different parts and things"

Yeah, I noticed those changes. The Waves Of Life is a very cool song. :-)

Stevee T - "I agree that CrazyBorg has his right to an opinion…of course, but “No Good”?"

If that's his opinion, why not ask him why he feels that way instead of getting pissed at him...?

jazzzzzzzy - "forget about it. I think it dragged too far."

Something that was posted only a few days ago and was only mentioned in a few posts has "dragged too far"?

What about the new things I brought up in my post yesterday? Do you have answers for those?

You can't say something about me that is based on absolutely nothing, not respond to questions about it, and then consider yourself to have any level of credibility here.

Master Yoda - "Now that's a great idea; Satch Unplugged."

Joe has said in interviews over the past few years that he wants to make an acoustic album. In a recent ITLIS? interview (Rockline, maybe?) Joe said he didn't think his acoustic guitar skills were good enough, so he's been practicing. I bet we get one or two more ITLIS?-ish rock albums, and then an acoustic album around 2007 or so...

jelly man - "how's the neal morse album coming along (in terms of buying)?"

In terms of buying? Hehehe... ;-)

It's on my list of stuff to buy. If I happen to see it in a store, I'll buy it right away. If not, I'll wait a few more weeks and preorder it from CD Universe with the Seinfeld DVD gift set (the first three seasons) when it is released.

"i've been watching out for phil keaggy records"

I probably mentioned this already, but buy his 220 album first. It's completely instrumental, so it's probably the best place to start.

Phil Keaggy is a Christian, and many of his vocal songs reflect that. I know that won't bother you, but I thought I'd mention it for the benefit of the other people who are reading this.

...Austin...

I am probably Joe's oldest living fan! Every time he's in Nashville, I take my sons and grandsons to see his shows. Three generations! The latest, at the Ryman in October, was the best we've ever seen. It converted my oldest son from a "steve's number one" to Joe is the MAN! I knew it, but he had to see for himself. We enjoy G3, but an "Evening with Joe" is the best. My "number 2" grandson also picked up a guitar at 14 and is teaching himself. When he read that Joe did the same thing, he was encouraged. Thanks for the best show I've ever seen and hope to see you next year. And toss a pick upstairs sometime!
