962: I think this region 1 and region 2 thing with dvd's is crap! lol Seems like all the third world countries fall under region 3...lol Thanks so much for telling me about Palin. I will definitely order it.

Clarky: I agree with you. Inspirations always show up. I really love Satriani's music but it does not influence my playing. u know what i mean? I love listening to his tracks without really observing technique or skill, i just like his songwriting. Not many guitarists influence my playing....I enjoy listening to shredders but I dont really play or practice to it. I am more influenced by an idea, or a thought rather than by something i heard. I could say Buckethead is the only player who sounds truly original. He creates with a thought in mind, rather than by playing along to someone else.

That being said, being original doesnt mean that a guitarist is good. Look at steve vai...lmao I find ty's music very original, but he kicks a little vai or a little satriani here and there...he could do without that easily....lost in thought is an amazing track, easily whips van halens ass. seriously. I also find your guitar raping awesome...lol The track on the t2j cd, there is one part that sounds a hell lot like a technique used on the master of puppets solo (i think it is called pitch axis theory...i suck at theory....and playing...lol). Just curious as to how you became insanely fast....maybe you can give me an abridged version...lol

early in the freakin morning...today is a big day...a presentation...

Do The Stu....In Respone to "Looking at it from another way...would you like to record a piece of music and have everyone tell you that it's perfect, even if they don't like it? What good does that do you? I think honesty is the best way to go..." ------------------------------------------------------------------------Yes, is the answer, I would like everone to tell me it's perfect, and when I'm writing & recording...perfect is in the back of my mind, but I know, not everyone shares the same tastes...One Man's Heaven, is another Man's Hell.

I have 3 times more material that I don't publish than I do, cause it just don't cut it in my own book!

Any seasoned artist should be able to tell you that the most importart thing...is that...They...The Artist likes their work first, otherwise they wouldn't let it out of the box...unless your a slave to a Record Company.

I am about to post my website & new CD on this site fully knowing that I won't please everyone that hears it...someone's gonna say something that might rub me the wrong way, and if they choose to be vindictive, or stupid...Welcome to The Human Nature Big Leagues !

If CrazyBorg is a Satch fan, then how can he say that "Is There Love In Space", as a Body of work... is THAT much different than ALL of Joe's other Great albums?

On my own CD, I've tried to use the best songs I have. The ones I really, really like...might be the ones that some may not, and vice/versa...Hell my CD's might be the beginning of a new landfill!

I luv Hendrix, but I don't luv EVERY Hendrix tune (forgive me Jimi), but I wouldn't go out of my way to let him know Bad news.

I'm sure Joe himself likes certain tunes of his own more than others, as we all do!

But to say NO GOOD......maybe the person who posted that statement has a languange barrier, and does not fully realize the impact of his own words...or maybe he simply has NO TASTE! I welcome everone's opinion/Honesty, but stupidity is a challange!

Peace, Love & Happiness! Stevee T.

From the Northwest Florida Daily News comes this story of a Crestview couple who drove their car to Wal-Mart, only to have their car break down in the parking lot.

The man told his wife to carry on with the shopping while he fixed the car in the lot. The wife returned later to see a small group of people near the car.

On closer inspection, she saw a pair of male legs protruding from under the chassis. Although the man was in shorts, his lack of underpants turned private parts into glaringly public ones.

Unable to stand the embarrassment, she dutifully stepped forward, quickly put her hand UP his shorts, and tucked everything back into place.

On regaining her feet, she looked acros s the hood and found herself staring at her husband who was standing idly by.

The mechanic, however, had to have three stitches in his forehead.

Cuthbert - The parenting thing didn't really hit me until we took her home. That was when I started to get nervous. The saving grace I guess was that I am a lot older than my siblings and I went into automatic pilot. There were stil times I was digging around looking for the owners manual though. lol

Yoda - That grat thing about music is that it is part of who you are regardless of what you do. To work in the industry would be awesome. Best of luck to you.

A police officer in a small town stopped a motorist who was speeding down Main Street.

"But officer," the man began, "I can explain."

"Just be quiet," snapped the officer. "I'm going to let you cool your heels in jail until the chief gets back."

"But, officer, I just wanted to say..."

"And I said to keep quiet! You're going to jail!"

A few hours later the officer looked in on his prisoner and said, "Lucky for you that the chief is at his daughter's wedding. He'll be in a good mood when he gets back."

"Don't count on it," answered the fellow in the cell. "I'm the groom."

Beer Translations

1. "You get this round and the next round is on me." I'll be leaving before the next round.

2. "I'll get this round and the next one is on you." Happy hour is about to end. Beers are now a dollar, but by the next round they'll be $3.50.

3. "Hey, where is that friend of yours?" I have no interest in talking to you except as a way to get your attractive friend into a compromising position.

4. "Can I get a glass of white zinfandel." (female) I'm easy.

5. "Can I get a glass of white zinfandel." (male) I'm gay.

6. "Ever try a body shot?" (male to female) I am even willing to drink tequila if it means that I get to lick you.

7. "Ever try a body shot?" (female to male) If this is how wild I am in the bar, imagine what I'll do to you on the ride home?

8. "I don't feel well, let's go home." (female) You are paying more attention to your friends than me.

9. I don't feel well, let's go home." (male) I'm horny.

10. "Who's got the next round?" I haven't bought a round in almost 3 years, but I am an expert at diverting attention.

France's Iraq?

Ivory Coast Loyalists Confront French World - AP Africa

By PARFAIT KOUASSI, Associated Press Writer

ABIDJAN, Ivory Coast - French armored vehicles took up positions near the home of Ivory Coast's president Monday, and thousands of his supporters marched on the site, fearing an attempt to oust him as France clamped down on violence in its former West African colony.

Fifty armored vehicles moved in around the home of President Laurent Gbagbo in Ivory Coast's commercial capital, Abidjan, presidential spokesman Desire Tagro said.

The French denied surrounding the house or intending to oust Gbagbo, saying the forces were only securing a temporary base at a hotel a couple hundred yards away for foreign evacuations.

Protesters chanted against the French, yelling, "The whites don't like the blacks, but we don't care!" Some signs declares, "Ivory Coast is a sovereign state."

French forces have moved to take control of Abidjan after chaos erupted in this west African nation on Saturday. Ivorian warplanes launched a surprise airstrike that killed nine French peacekeepers and an American civilian aid worker in the north, held by rebels since a 2002 civil war divided the country. The government later called the bombing a mistake.

France hit back within hours, wiping out Ivory Coast's newly built-up air force — two Russian-made Sukhoi jet fighters and at least three helicopter gunships — on the ground.

With armored vehicles and helicopter gunships deployed, France used tear gas and concussion grenades to quell the mobs.

France said it was not intervening to destabilize the country or take sides in the country's civil war, while Gbagbo appealed for calm.

Over the weekend, hard-liners called for loyalists to form a "human shield" around Gbagbo's home, and on Monday state media called on young and old to take to the streets nearby and at the broadcast headquarters.

Six men, faces painted black, forced an AP reporter from his taxi at gunpoint and commandeered the vehicle.

French Embassy spokesman Francois Guenon denied the French troops were targeting Gbagbo, saying, "It is not a question of ousting him, that is very clear."

French armored vehicles rolled through the city after taking control of the international airport and strategic points, including bridges, over the weekend.

After angry government loyalists looted and burned businesses and roamed house-to-house in search of French citizens, residents on Monday assessed the damage to a skyscraper-lined city that once was West Africa's most prosperous — thanks to Ivory Coast's position as the world's top cocoa producer.

"Everything is burned," said one woman, a teacher at a French school that was looted and torched in the anti-French riots. "They have stolen everything they could."

"They even tore out the toilet seat," she said, speaking on condition her name not be used. "The only thing I'm waiting for is for the airport to open, so I can get out of here."

France has about 4,000 peacekeepers in Ivory Coast. The United Nations has about 6,000, manning a buffer zone between rebel north and government south.

On Monday, French military planes returned home the bodies of the nine French forces killed in the bombing, along with 34 wounded soldiers.

In Paris, French Defense Minister Michele Alliot-Marie rejected accounts by some Ivory Coast officials that the bombing was a mistake and urged the reopening of peace talks.

African Union leaders called an emergency session for late Monday on Ivory Coast, the pride of France's former colonial empire.

In South Africa, President Thabo Mbeki was consulting with west African leaders ahead of an emergency trip to Ivory Coast, a foreign affairs spokesman said Monday.

The African Union said Sunday it would send Mbeki to press Ivory Coast to find a political solution.

I had no idea that problems were taking place there. I opened Yahoo news this morning and bammo - it just seemed a little fishy to me.

I thought the French really blasted us about Iraq (I understand it is two different situations) but somehow our news media, so far, has burried this story.

I hope all can be worked out - but bombing adds a whole new angle.

I thought Joe is creating a lower nut during Mystical. Raising the Octave like using a capo. I think we're talking about the same part of the song where he does his "group of rapid - fire legato sixteen note arpeggios", but I am not sure.

Any comment Joe?
