Joe..... I have been a huge fan of yours for many, many years. I first heard "Surfing..." when I was stationed in Korea in '88. I was amazed and dumbfounded by your sound and style. You are the greatest. Looking forward to seeing you live onstage soon. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.

IceZer, my daughter is going to be a very cute Minnie Mouse, and my son is going to be an overweight trailer trash version of Elvis.
Thank you, thank you very much!
My husband and I will stay home and contribute to the tooth decay of the youngin's in the neighborhood. Everyone will be out tonight (31 Oct.)

icezer, i think the reason joe went to peavey is because they were willing to work with him. in fact they probably approached him. i think marshall isn't willing to develop anything signature based on the current line of amps. they have the attitude that they are the best and don't need anybody telling them what to produce. i own a 30th anniversary marshall myself and would like to try out one of the new peaveys but it will have to be an absolute killer amp before i will replace the marshall.

DCK: so how did Eddie play? And more importantly, which guitars did he play (help us settle the whole rumor about him dropping Peavey).

Agreed.. i thought the show was great! And some of the classics he pulled out last night, like Hordes of Locusts.. just f-ing awesome!! Man, how old is that auditorium?! It was cool to be in such an intimate venue though.. even more so from row 2, right in front of the man himself.. =) It's a damn shame that someone as gifted as joe doesn't reach more people.. I have converted lots of my friends in the last 16 years, i just wish more poeple knew about him.
'twas a long drive back last night (dallas). I think i'm going to take a nap now.. =)

OCPS470 from what i have read in the early days eddie used an older 100wt marshall (maybe a plexi) with a voltage regularol cranking the ac voltage to 145 volts. his guitar was an older strat fitted with with hardware from charvel. charvel was a guitar parts company and didn't build guitars until eddy called his strat a charvel. he also used a les paul
