SupaaDave, I reckon it's gonna be well over 5000 souls he'll have under his belt!

jazzzzzzy, I hear you on tropical beaches man! Good call! If you can get Palin's journals on NTSC DVD i'd recommend it, especially the Himalaya series......he is a really awesome guy. He's interesting and insightful, not even slightly trivial, and his full of respect to the natives of the places he visits.....he'll never make fun of anyone except himself.

I'm trying to remember the series he's done....I think they were Around The World In 80 Days, Pole-to-Pole, Full Circle (which I think went all around the 'Pacific Rim'), Sahara, and the latest - Himalaya.

hoiguy, you're welcome amigo! yeah feel free to send any other edits that you do....I'm likely to have enough space to host them!
Stevee T, we are all entitled to our own opinion, but yes, CrazyBorg could have put it better. I also agree entirely.....there's no need for saying Joe's latest album is no good, cause it f*ck*n rocks! I love it!
Suzie, kept awake by your neighbours shagging? haha, I wouldn't know whether to laugh, cry, or piss through their letterbox. That's got to mess with your head. Maybe one night when they're at it you and your husband should scream out your loudest fake orgasms you can muster, and see if the neighbours stop. hehe
edit:

Alexandre, hola amigo! Yeah I love the Guitar Wars DVD, I thought Nuno's drumming was ace, but then it's not surprising....he was a drummer for ten years before he picked up a guitar.

I also love Gary Cherone's energetic performance on get The Funk Out.....he puts all his effort into it!

Best regards bro!

DoTheStu, I agree that CrazyBorg has his right to an opinion…of course, but “No Good”? He can’t find ANY GOOD! He’s Fckn Daft! Would he prefer that Joe made the same album over & over? As for asking him why he doesn’t like it…I feel pretty certain his answer will be as stupid as that post. Here’s my opinion…Joe Fckin Satriani has more God Dmn taste, chops, balls & soul than any Mther Fking Guitarist…who knows, maybe CrazyBorg is the next Satch? I’m an easy goin guy, but don’t fck with JS. Peace…Stevee T.

962, Yes, “Is There Love In Space” rocks…Your lifestyle is killin me….your lifestyle is killin me, and if I don’t do sumthin about it……….Whoa. How do ya spell Whoa?

ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS! If you don’t have a copy of Joe Satriani’s DVD “The Satch Tapes”… Ah…soooooo…..Good!!

DammMissNamm: Nice to see you coming to t2j just to taunt me. Grow up.

do the stu: forget about it. I think it dragged too far.

962: He's got DVD's out? I surely will check them out. I am quite a big fan of travel shows (the ones on discovery and scifi). I also enjoy the history channel. Most other shows on tv now are BS. American television has too many advertisements and reality shows. So I would love to own it on DVD. Are you a fan of horror documentaries? Discovery shows some documentaries that chill you to the bone. Its about paranormal sightings. There was this one documentary about a haunting in cleveland. A family had moved in to this house that used to be a funeral home. And the basement still had a room with beds and other funeral home accesories. When the family's kids moved down there, all hell broke loose. They had to call exorcists and poltergeists. It was awesome to watch but scared the living hell out of me. Have you seen the exorcist? If you like horror, also check out The woman in black. Man, its creepy. You dont have to reply to this post! its too long! just check it out man. And do you have any music recorded? pass me a link if you do. Or is it the soundclick one? I have been having trouble with soundclick so I think I ignore most soundclick links. Still, pass it on.

Clarky - lol Yeah, that would have been funny. "Actually mate, we have a spare ticket - when you knock off here you're welcome to come and join us. Get your funk on..." lmao

Do The Stu - Now that's a great idea; Satch Unplugged. Or even better - Satch & Friends Unplugged. Rather like that Friday Night In San Fran record with Al DiMeola, John McLaughlin, and Paco de Lucia. Only a whole lot more tasteful... lol

Olly - I'm doing great thanks. Sorry for the late reply. I'm getting increasingly uncomfortable with the prospect of graduating next year though. I'm looking forward to the actual event, but having to leave ACM and come back to reality - maybe even get a job (*shudder*) - is actually quite unsettling... How about you?

Clarky - Shit, I almost forgot - I went to Anderton's earlier in the week and asked if they wouldn't mind me sticking the POD XT Pro through a 4 x 12 and cranking it some. They said it was okay, as long as it wasn't for too long. Wahey!!!! lol... Anyway, it sounded really great. The factory presets were a little OTT, but with enough tweaking and general fucking around I started to get some really nice sounds out of it. They have a dirty setting called 'Insane', so I flicked to that, twiddled a few pots and rocked out for a bit. Jesus Christ, I thought the fucking thing was going to eat me... lmao. Anyways, I've e-mailed GAK asking for a written quote (something I need to accompany the application form for this grant) for the POD XT Pro plus floorboard (which I've discovered you can configure like stomp boxes, as with the 2120), Marshall EL34 50/50, a six unit rack case thingy, and a 1960B 4 x 12. If this all comes together for me I'm going to have one hell of a rig. Which is nice... lol

Clarky I see exactly what you mean now lol...There's a few nice runs in "Rising Force" that looked/sounded hard...but were easy..., yet the rhythm for the main riff was a bit tricky even though it looks simple...

I'm confident that if I put in the hours I should get it learnt before christmas.

My friend informed me that at the "Band Night" thing at my college next summer he wants me and him to do a cover of Blink 182's "All the small things" but mix it up G3-stylee lol...should be interesting, I think his Dad's gonna film it so I'll see about getting some web space and putting it up

[Edit] Does anyone know how much Rg7620's cost in the UK? I've never seen one in the UK yet I want one so badly lmao

Alexandre: nice to see you around too!

I think a JS unplugged would be great. For guests, it would be nice if he had musicians that played instruments other than guitar. He could have bongos, sitar, tablas, saxophone, harmonica, piano, cello, violin....stuff of that sort. There is so much Joe much can do with his music. Maybe he could have vai play accordian.

Yoda - Hey Neil long time. How's Liffie Land. I sounds like you're not into the Friday Night in San Fransisco. Granted there is not a whole lot of sustained emotional notes on that record., but man I love it. I have spent hours with it. Those three can definately burn up the frteboard. And to think that it is all on an acoustic. WOW!! In fact I was in Mexico a couple weeks ago. A band was setting up and they were playing Mediterranean Sundance from that album. It was awsesome.

The prospect of becoming an adult with a job and total self responsibility is damn scary. Wait till you have a kid and realise (note the 's' for you) that you are responsible for the creation of a person, their views and biases. That was one that got me. Enjoy this year and I'm sure the transition will be fine. It's not as hard as you think.

jazzzzzy, I dunno if Palin's travel documentaries are on DVD, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are, or if not, i'm sure they will be at some point!

Yeah man, horror documentaries are always interesting, especially stuff about the paranormal.....I don't generally believe in paranormal activity, so when there's a docu on, it's usually pretty good, cause it's obviously a story which really is convincing enough to actually make you ask questions about your own beliefs! I dig that shit!

The Woman In Black? I've heard of that....I think my mum read it once, she said it was excellent, so I should think it makes a good movie!

And on music.....no I don't have any of my own stuff recorded yet. When I have the money (relative to about $220) i'll be buying an external sound card for use with my Laptop, so I can record guitar parts. I have some backing tracks down so the guitar part and a little audio engineering is all that is needed for it to be finished!

And when I get that done, it'll go up on soundclick until I can afford something more comprehensive! hehe

Fretslayer, just downloaded Lost In Thought MP3 - Lovge your clean tone man, the chorus is really smooth.

Let us know when you get the CD released!

civgeek - lol, you appear to have misunderstood me; I love the FNISF record, but you know as well as I do that it is rather tasteless!!! lmao. I'm a big fan of Al DiMeola and John McLaughlin (although not as big as DiMeola), and even though this record is my only experience of Paco I can definitely appreciate his immense talent and flair on the instrument.

Regarding 'adulthood', it's neither the prospect of a full-time job or that of personal responsibilties that freak me out, per se - it's more the worry of coming out of a degree in something I love more than life itself with (fingers crossed) a good grade, not being able to find relevant work, and then going off and making do with a shitty little job that I could do without having a degree - like work in a pub or something. That would feel like such a waste of time and money; there's no way in hell that I'll ever let that happen. And by the way, I think you just put me off ever having kids... lmao
