pp0, as far as I've heard, Joe hasn't been using the DS-1 with the JSX setup. I could be wrong, but his new tone sounds a lot more like the amp is doing all the work.
Austin, I got not need for a gig mailbox, and the main problem is that I've had my current mail address for years everyone knows it.....if I changed it I'd loose tons of contacts and have to re-register with things like amazon, messageboards, ebay etc.
Ethn, haven't seen you for ages man! Anyway, my bad, I always thought Joe was using the DS-1 and amp gain together but aparrently not. I think Vai does tho. Well, he doesn't now cause he uses a tubescreamer, but it's the same principal.
Before anybody states the bloody obvious, I know that a Tubescreamer is made by Ibanez and a DS-1 is made by Boss!!!

Thank you all for the happy birthday wishes. Been working long hours lately, been lurking around though.
pp0..... I tried out the JSX head Thru a XXX cab., and a 5150 cab. The 5150 is the way to go in my opinion. I plan on getting two of the heads and two 5150 B-cabs. after Christmas.
Cuthbert......I find it hard to understand how the left are for killing the only true innocents (pre-birth persons), but hate the fact that there is a death penalty for the guilty (murderers). IMHO someone somewhere sat down and thought of a anti-god philosophy where all things are taught and believed in a complete 180 absolute reversal to GOD’S word, as with the example above. Others I have concluded are:
1. Evolution, to contradict creation. Evolution’s basic belief is all life specifically man, evolved over millions of years from the lowest life form. Creation teaches the exact opposite. Biblical creation teaches that man was created, on the sixth day, in the image of the highest life form, GOD, around 6,000 years ago. These are exact absolute opposites in ideological thinking. Someone had to have an exact opposite alternative to the word of GOD. What is the exact opposite of being created in the image of the highest life form? Answer, evolving from the lowest life form. Think about it!!!
2. In the scope of evolution it is believed that everything came into being in an event called the Big Bang. It is, or was the theory of the time on how all things came to be. Now the bible has always taught that everything will end with a Big Bang. Revelation and in 2nd Peter teaches that GOD destroys all things with enough heat to melt the elements. As with the creation of atomic and nuclear energies, we now know elements will melt. It takes the energy release of either a fission or fusion reaction to do this, in other words everything goes BANG. HE then creates all anew. Here again an exact absolute opposite.
It makes me wonder how the father of most of the left philosophies, Mr. Marx, and the father of evolution, Mr. Darwin, were both known members of Free Masonry. One of those things that makes me go HUMMMM.
Just MHO

Anybody, do you know about "Anthrax"'s production?
I've known the band's name for ages, but until yesterday I haven't had any of their albums. Now I have: "Volume 8 - The Threat Is Real" (-98) -> if I had longer hair (I've got a flat top), it would be moving quite a bit while listening this! (although it wasn't so ruff that I expected -> stupid me!...judging a band by it's name) ...and this one has also a hidden song after the 'last' tune. Strange, thinks me, but the ballad-like song itself is simply beautiful...goosebumps...
If anyone knows more about their music, please recommend me some of their best ones.

GGG - Whilst I totally disbelieve the theory of Evolution, it is clear that either yu have some numbers mixed up or that you have been wildly misinformed somewhere along the line:
"Biblical creation teaches that man was created, on the sixth day, in the image of the highest life form, GOD, around 6,000 years ago."
How then do you explain the proven existence of creatures roaming the Earth over 60 million years ago, and the discovery of remains thereof? I'm referring to Dinosaurs. I've always found it very strange how there is absolutely no mention of them in the Bible, perticularly because they obviously had a great impact on the planet. Not leats because no-one really knows quite how they suddenly all became extinct...
Don't get me wrong here - I'm not trying to squash your beliefs; I'm just trying to find out what your thoughts are on this subject as I've often pondered it myself, and I know others have.

Oh man... I was just watching that Satriani-Timmons video-clip (if you don't have it, you can find it from Austin's (DoTheStu) page o' stuff) once again and I'm just as taken with it as every time I see it ! ! ! ! ! (they're playing "house full of bullets" from Joe's "crystal planet")
Joe: if (when) you take Andy with you and Steve on a G3-tour, please...please, make it happen in Europe, too. You don't even have to come here in Finland (which doesn't mean that you're not welcome...I'm sure you still remember what kind of atmosphere there was in Helsinki in the 18th of June this year!), but even if it would take place anywhere in Europe, I'd be there for sure!
Everybody have a nice weekend! We're having "the father's day" tomorrow -> so no work for me this sunday :-)
