Well, I finally saw Joe for the first time last night in Chicago. I don't know what to say...WOW. I was excited enough just to be able to go to the concert, but to further the experience we ended up getting a private box for the night with the perfect view! Being under 5 ft with most of the waking world towering over me I usually don't get to see much of the action at shows. It was just awesome being close enough to see his fingers flying. Although in the excitement of the moment I had too many rum and cokes and ended up swimming with the music, it was still the best night ever and just the inspiration I needed to get me excited about practicing again. Maybe not having been to a concert in 7 years might have something to do with it too, but last night sealed the deal. Satriani is a true virtuoso and now even more my hero. Seeing his talent in the flesh was just an unexplainable experience. My small fingers will never master the fretboard like that but it's good to have a dream. Amazing. Thank you Joe!

JUST GOT BACK FOR SEEING JOE! MY HEAD NEEDS RECOVERY....AND I AM GOING DEAF BECAUSE OF MR. PEAVEY...

bahduh: I dont like WWF or WWE or whatever it is called now...After I realised the whole thing was staged, I lost interest. I used to be a huge fan when I was 11. My fave was The Undertaker.

cheese101: There is probably nothing left for me to say about Joe's concerts that others have not said! He was on fire all three nights and I was super happy to hear starry night, motorcycle driver and Time.

Optical Studio: I will definitely look for a new home! It needs to find its place in life! Try getting online sometime!

962: Totally agree with you. Totally.

Suzie 2000 Have you try reading about gestaltic (guestaltic) therapy, may be it can help you on your work with kids; I recomend reading Fritz Pearls, Laura Pearls, Hector Salama and Carlos Castanedo; I use this kind of therapy as the psychologist that I'm; It's an holistic point of view.

OpticalStudio- again thanks for the offer to upload stuff. We have to go back to the studio soon to finish the recording, so will get back to you! We don't have our own recording equipment, although would love to one day. The reason we wanted to record it at all is not because we think the kind of material will be popular with too many people, but just for personal goal reasons I suppose. Does that make sense? I'm not explaining myself very well this morning, sorry! You said your hands are small- if you span your hand though as far as possible, can you reach an octave on the piano? You don't come across as being what you said a "limited" person? People have funny attitudes to lots of things I suppose, sometimes you just have to think (in the words of the song) there but for fortune go you or I. I think Joan Baez sang it? Sounds cheesy, but I agree with the sentiment 100%! Apart from the awkward shape of some guitars what bothers me more when choosing them is how heavy they are. Before I got SG I had been told they were top heavy, but I dodn't find that at all I love it! Have a good Sunday!

Cheese101- it's great to meet Joe fans on here! Yes I live in England, so the clock (posting time) is about 8 hours out for me- I don't even know how that varies in different parts of the US!

Do the Stu- 13 is not my favourite number. I don't really know what is though! I do think it a bit dumb though in hotels in England (and maybe elsewhere, I don't know) how they never have a room 13. I mean, houses are still numbered 13 and they don't seem to be struck by lightning and crumble into dust?!!! :-)

Jazzzzzzzy- :-)

Hoiguy79- no, I haven't heard of that, will look it up though as I'm always interested in anything that might possibly help! With our kids I think the benefits music can have are completely underestimated by some. I would love to have done some music therapy training, but you have to train full time and not work, and I can't afford to do that. So I just use it in an amateur kind of way, but so what if it helps the pupils! That's interesting that you're a psychologist, I am looking at possibilities at the moment of re-training as an Ed Psych. Apparently there are some conversion courses you can do over 2 years, whilst still working 3 or 4 days a week, so hopefully soon! My husband is currently doing a post grad qualification, so when he's finished with that it'll be my turn!

Just got in and my God, that concert was great. I mean Thursday show was off the chain, but tonight he shut it down. He was in top form. I was more blown away the second time than the first. My cousin really enjoyed the show. Joe did different totally different improves on some of the songs, which was dope.

Punkdude75: There are no words to describe that concert. Just take every son you've ever heard and combine it all in to one giant song. Then you will have about 1/4 of how one of his songs sounded. Man I wish you could of ben there. Next time...

Jazzzzy: Missed you again. Where where you hidin' htis time? I ran in to Zinc Master. We were pretty damn close to the stage. He was in the first row; I was in the second or third row off the left. Im still stunned. When the concert was over, I was the one who was "tingly" down there. Thanx again, you are a great asset to T2J!

I would also like to say thank you to Mr. John S. Iverson for everything you did for me tonight. You do your job well.

Bless you, Steve the security guy. I'll cover the high ground and you cover the low; everything will be just fine.

JOE: Thank you for blessing us with your "Strange Beautiful Music." Your timeless compositions inspire us all. Oh yeah, save all bears indiginous to Chicago; they are counting on you!

Fretslayer, yeah Africa is on that DVD! That song should give a good representation of the Toto sound, it's a kinda big sound, and the DVD is littered with awesome solos from all of the band. Luke's playing is fantatsic - if you really like his playing then it's probably worth getting the DVD just to see! But hey, if you like Africa then you can't go wrong!

I don't know why Virgil left the Vai band.....I'm personally not into Jeremy much. I mean he's ok, full of energy, but I met him pre-G3 earlier this year and he seemed a little full of himself too, like he was trying to act cool cause he's in the Vai band.

Jeff on the other hand, is an absolute gentleman, he's 1st class!

Achoo: I missed you too but I think I saw you. I was with my "new lady friend" and we jetted out right after the show. The lady enjoyed Satch so much that we may head down to Cali in december to see Joe in SF, his hometown. She plans to pay for the trip so I will just relax. Thanks for your kind words man....

Zinc, how was the Platinum experience?

I am glad now that the platinum packages were introduced. I thought it was a money grabbing scheme on the part of promoters but if it gets hard to hard to find good seats and meet the artist, money talks!

962: Jeremy Colson has the potential of being full of himself. I met him outside of the venue right after Vai's set and he was smoking a ciggy with his whole family. I was outside with a friend and looking at the pics I took of Vai and Yngwie when this really beautiful girl walks up to me and starts looking at the pictures I took. I asked who she was and she said she was Jeremy's cousin. I asked her for backstage passes and she later came to seat and gave it. She was a sweetie and a hottie! The Vai band is good except for Tony MacAlpine and Jeremy.

Excellent points on the War on Iraq and Afghanistan. The Iraq war currently has no direction. It was poorly planned and poorly executed. There was no exit strategy and never will be. No winners in this one.

GUYS I'm going to ask for a JS guitar HOMEMADE! The price i'ts about the same and better than the actual original guitar. What do you think about artigianal guitars? I'm also thinking of the Boss GT-6 and the roland Boss br-1600CD or the BR-1180cd. Also a drum machine for recordings: the DR-670!

Ah ha ha ha.....Ashlee Simpson gets busted lip-synching...why did she think she would get away with that on SNL? You can't lip-synch in front of a crowd that small....if you're sitting close enough to the stage you can hear a person singing without the PA. Maybe she should concentrate on getting that nose-job done ! No talent....and butt-ugly to boot.

austin Yeah, I hope Music Today will get back to me... otherwise I don't know how to place my order. It seems I'm permanently logged in and I just can't find a logout function in the web shop, can you? Maybe I could register a new user name, but I don't understand why I would have to do all the work and not them...

I listened to Satchurated Feedback today and a first, very general impression is that the songs seem to get better the longer you listen lol. There are no bad tracks but I will certainly listen to a few of them more than others... Those who stand out to me right now are Matt King, Mowlie, Clarky and Plum Loco.

Have you considered adapting some of Emerson Lake & Palmer material like Hoedown or Peter Gunn Theme for the guitar?
