sdcargal - Hi...welcome to the site. :-)

Chris Grey - Yeah...it looks like Asia and Australia are a possibility in the semi-near future (early or mid 2005, if I had to guess).

DamnIMissNamm, for your info, neither you, nor you grandparents, saved anyone from Hitler. They obviously didn't teach you this bit in school, but a late education is free for the first 6 months - Hitler shot himself in the face. He went absolutely f*ck*ng nuts, and shot himself.

And in case you forget, you are british deep down. You're all sorts of European. You are descended from the european sons-of-bitches who invaded the americas and shot everything that moved. And you might not give a shit what the rest of the world thinks of your policies, but I know a massive number of american people who do give a shit. Capiche?

Nobody has asked the US to defend them either. The US government has decided it will 'defend people'. And those of us in the free world understand that those statements, those promises, are all just a front for a dark hidden agenda.

And Jazzzzzzy is absolutely right. You do need to be concerned what the rest of the world thinks. America is a part of the world as a whole. America does not stand alone, unaffected and unaffecting from the world around it. The actions taken and decisions made by US government, and massive US international corporations like Coca-Cola, McDonalds and GM, have huge consequences on the rest of the globe.

To say "who gives a shit what everyone else thinks" clearly indicates that you think your country and your political actions as a part of that country, won't affect the rest of us.

WRONG.

This is what I was on about a while back when I said that Bush is going to get us all killed.

Jazzzzzzy, no I haven't heard 'em bro. Should I check 'em out?
cuthbert, yeah bearing your comment in mind, i'm inclined to agree. My mistake - the media (and not just in the US) has been skewed much longer than George W has been in office. although, that said, wth his cousin running Fox News, it's got to play a part in the reporting of important matters?
NewsMan, haha, love it! Misguided is about right - had we have known that this would all have happened, and Tony would go along as Bush's stool pigeon, I don't think we would have voted him in as PM. I kinda hope the Liberals get it this time - Charles Kennedy would be a good laugh in office.
Austin, so what if Moore is as deceptive as we claim Bush to be? Moore isn't the one running the country and most of the world. Moore isn't the one with his finger stroking the trigger of the gun aimed at the head of the rest of planet.

Oh, and on a ligher note, first 2000 orders will recieve a print of Steve's handwritten score? What a con!

I'm up early and man, was Satch in top form. Loved every minute of it. 2 more shows to go. Hope they are as good.

962: You are absolutely right in your post to DammMissNamm. When our catastrophic "president" (aka buffoon) wants support to go to war, people like DammMissNamm are singing songs of praise to supporting countries. Thats when the whole world matters. But when countries like France do not show support, they start boycotting. And then they come and say "who gives a shit what you think." Ironic.

DammMissNamm: Ok, thats great that you served in the army. Its a brave thing to do and I respect that because Prez George Bush will not send his daughters even though he is the "commander in chief." But tell me, do you even have the slightest respect for Bush after he decided to continue having strong ties with the Saudi's BUT boycotted the French? Dont you think the French have more credibilty than the Saudi's??? Can you trust such a president?

And yeah, Bill O Reilly can eat shit and bark at the moon.....

962: Porcupine Tree is an amazing band from Britain. If you get a chance get In Absentia. Seriously, its one of the greatest prog rock bands today. Also, if youre in the mood of some dark and soulful guitar playing along with chilling lyrics, get Opeth's Damnation. Trust me, you will love these albums! Check em out!

Song of the day: Trains by Porcupine Tree

Buckethead's Colma and Stephen King's Apt Pupil go hand in hand. It's freaky. Big Sur, California (gulp!)

I do care what the world thinks, but it's still the American people who vote not the world community. The world will always find fault in America. And yes the UK asked us to defend her when Hitler was bombing in ww2 as well as the French after he rolled in without firing a shot.

Jazzzzzy is wrong! He has taken my comments out of context. My point was and still is that it is up to the American people to pick a leader, not world opinion.

Yes Hitler killed himself, but only after being crushed back to Berlin.

Jazzzzy, I served in the Navy in the Nuke sub program. You still haven't answered my question did you serve?

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS !!!!

What A Great Show Last Night !!

Just Got Up !!

Jazzy - how was back stage?

Achoo - did you have a good time?

We got inside about 6:15 or so.

We were about 30 feet from the stage, on the left side of the stage.

I had never been to HOB before - it is a very small venue - the levels are neat - but the floor is pretty small.

I cannot wait until Saturday night - platinum package night !!

Good morning!

It's a new world. The war on terrorism is a different type of conflict. The patriot act sucks but, it is a first draft. The terror alert system sucks but it a pioneering system. The comments that people (not necessarily you) spout off criticizing these and other new actions taken by our current admin, is the point I was making yesterday about Monday morning quarterbacks

DammMissNamm: Where am I wrong? How did I take your posts out of context? Sure, "Bring it on" is very intelligent. I am sure you said that a lot in the Navy.

I never served in the forces. I don't think I ever will unless I find proper justification. If I need to serve people, I will join the Peace Corps. Why did you join the Navy? Specific reason? My ex-girlfriend joined the Navy because it would pay for her graduate school. Another friend did it for the same reason.

Zinc: Did you like the show? I did not go backstage. My dog ate my passes!

Achoo: Did the female unit enjoy the show? I sure did. My brother went for some friends wedding so I took one of my co-workers with me. It sure made her "tingly" down there! The night was just perfect! I tried looking around for you but I think I missed you. Well, will surely catch you on Saturday (or tonite, if you are makin it down again!) And yes, did you go backstage??? I hope you did!!!

eeee haww!

Liberals eyeing your money, huh? Your statement is as baseless as me saying every conservative only eyes my money.

I have met many liberals who were complete sweethearts at the same time complete dicks. Also I have some very good friends who are republican. I guess you have a hard time looking beyond the fact no matter what one's political preferences are, people are human too. Thats what people like Bush do to you. They paint everything in Black and White. "you are either with us or without us."

Once again you have taken my comments out of context.

My "Bring it on" comment was a warning statement to the terrorist that want a jihad. In other words we are not going to send the Peace Corps to fight the terrorist.

I joined the Navy to serve my country. My family has a long history of respecting freedom. We join, we respect, we do our job, and we get out. I didn't agree with Mr. Regan at the time or Casper our friendly Weinberger (sod at the time). But I did my job. Looking back at it now, we were not very popular but the USSR and a large populous of the world changed their views on arms racing and communism.

As for our boycott of France and our relation with the Saudis, I love French wine, not so much their customer service, but they have that fermentation thing down! The Saudis, well lets just see how that plays out. Our government didn't recommend that we boycott the French, a few idiots over reacted, exploited and sensationalized a national crisis and the French reaction to it. Viva Le France and protect those grapes!

As for your homophobic comment about me saying bring it on a lot in the navy, dude,

I served, no thanks necessary

cuthbert1776

There is a lot to digest in your last post. I love the idea of a side by side comparison. Will do. But just like Catholicism, the constitution is interpreted. That is why we don't have just one Supreme Court justice. Somebody call the Vatican!

By the way I voted for Gore.

Be careful of labels sometimes they can blind vision.

Jesus Christ, here I go....

Homophobic comment? LOL! Traditionally people keep their wallets in their back pockets...which is pretty much on the butt cheek. Liberals eyeing your wallet? I took it as an offence to us liberals. So probably the liberals who were eyeing your wallet were gay, as it is impossible to label everyone of them as greedy....got the point?

Cuthbert and dammmissnamm, lets go to the chatroom. The new one, the nice one...

ZInc Master: I will not be able to go the thing on Saturday even though I would to. I will be at the concert though. My passes for Saturday have been BBQ'd by my dog (kiwi) so I will not make it. But I hope you have a great time and maybe we can meet up and have some brews. Achoo, I will wearing a green soccer t shirt. Hope you can spot me. Later dudes.

Please join the chatroom. The woman is sleeping still. She wasnt expecting the donkey punch. Kiwi is slobbering my breakfast.

optical - the general rule of thumb with speaker cabs is: the bigger they are and the larger the speaker cones, the more responsive to bass they are....

look at a PA system at a big venue... the bass bins are generally the size of a family car and filled with 15" and 18" cones...lol.. the mid-cabs are not a million miles from a 4x12 cab or a bassists 4x10 in terms of physical dimmensions.... the tweater horns and flares are real small with 3/4" drivers...

the other thing to consider is the volume you need... if you are only playing in small places a 2x12 may sound great...
in a larger venue [that holds 250 or more people] then it may begin to sound a little thinner [which will be fine if you're playing funk, and not fine if you're trying to entertain the mosh pit.. lol]

but also don't forget, you do have eq on the amp with which to shape the tone...

so also consider your application..

Artanis - lol... imagine.. the US letting the rest of the world join in... and then getting beat all the time....
maybe that's why no one else can join in.... so they get to win all the time.. lol..

alternatively, maybe the rest of the world is allowed to join in but said...
"nah.. it's too much like rounders... that's a girls game.."... lol..

I've decided... I'm gonna be world champion at something...
when I've figured out what I want to be world champion at, I'm going to hold the event at my house and only invite me... lmao..

962 - Governments will generally never 'defend' the anyone outside of their own borders just because "it's the right thing to do"
crudely put, by going to war, a Government is always protecting it's own interests...

we all fight in the Gulf [securing oil suppolies...
and we all sit back as China takes Tibet, Indonesia takes Timor, and some other country takes another country that has fuck all to offer in material terms....
like it or not... it seems pretty normal to me....

also - bush is definately going to get me killed...

mowlie - wow... maybe dropping the 'trebble' may have been needed too then....

but then. that's the prob with 4x12 cabs with celestions...
you have to get so far away from them to hear them properly..

DamMissDam - so who actually did most of the crushing of the German army back to Berlin?

"And yes the UK asked us to defend her when Hitler was bombing in ww2"
that comment is just not true...
that's not history...
'cos you are making that stuff up...
