Hi, I know how stressful moving can be- in England buying even a flat can turn into your worst nightmare! We bought one a year ago, and straight after we moved in so did this DIY freak of a guy above us, and he spent 9 months hammering, sawing... it made our lives hell! Anyway we decided in the end the place wasn't for us, and put it up for sale, found a new place... then right at the last minute the person who was going to buy our flat pulled out- and there's nothing we could do. So now we've got another buyer and just have to pray this one goes through ok!! Sorry to ramble on but I think I'm still half-asleep...

hey joe! are you EVER going to visit the Philippines? i grew up listening to all this guitar stuff by Di Meola, Vai, Reinhardt, You (of course, my mom's favorite lol), Petrucci, Malmsteen, Howe, Segovia, and all those other guitar gods...i've gotten quite addicted, i broke my heart over "Love Thing" and i can't tear myself away from "House Full of Bullets" and "Summer Song"....

On the subject of the Koran.....I did in fact mention pissing on it but I immediately edited the post because I felt I had crossed a line. I don't know if anyone else has run into this problem but here goes. I attended my first Satriani concert (Aug 13th, Meadowbrook Farms, Gilford, NH) and I absolutely fell in love with the music. I had heard a few of the songs before but didn't realize who the artist was and now that I know, my boyfriend and I can't get enough. Now for the dilema. We have a radio station here in Dover,NH called The Shark (105.3 FM), which we had won tickets from for the show. We have called numerous times to request any of Joe's songs and they won't heed our requests. After many times calling in, the program director spoke with us personally and told us that Joe's music is not considered classic music. We're appauled! How can they say that when they are using one of Joe's song's as a background intro for their sports report! I'd love to start a petition drive to influence the station to play Joe's music without hesitation. I have sent emails to this station and just about told them that they need to get their heads out of the sand. Any one have any ideas or want to email this station, the email is : mail@shark1053.com. I thought that perhaps other listeners out there could back me up in saying that Joe's music should be heard.

RickyGarcia: Thanks for the Satch interview, and all of the other Jemfest interviews you did so far! You really ask the questions we all really want to know. You do a much better job than the idiots at Guitar Player and the other mags.....all they want to know about is gear, when us the readers are more interested in what it was like when the artist (Joe for example) was struggling to make it. All of those questions, and geting a better insight into the artists influences give a much better insight into theit music than a gear run down. Nice job man!
