I haven't posted anything on this site in a L--O--N--G time, I've been swamped with homework and nonstop playing giutar!!! But, I do listen to all of my Satriani CD's when doing homework, which makes doing homework a lot better since I get to listen to his brilliant work. I get to hear songs I never really listened to that much, and I just keeping noticing how INSANE Satriani is!!! He is the best guitarist around, nodody can even compare! Does anyone know if Satriani uses his DS-1 still? I saw him in the summer, but I didn't notice if he was using his DS-1 or his new JSX head's distortion? If anyone knows, let me know. SATRIANI RULES!!!

Just wondering since my new comp is capable and all...how many people out there play Unreal Tournament (the original or 2004)?...
I've got the original...and love playing it online...just wondering if a Satch orientated clan could be on the cards?
I've got my Unreal Tournament 2004 on my christmas list to Santa...so fingers crossed...

Question for those in the USofA - I know from watching various programs/films ie "Boyz In The Hood" etc, that there are certain areas of the states that have really bad gang culture. Is the way that program/movie makers portray it accurate and is it really as bad as it is made out to be?
Just wondered as I live in the UK.

Hi to all! I am a soldier in the U.S. Army, stationed in Iraq, fighting this war on terror and counting the days til I can be with my wife and kids again in AL, but I brought Joe over here with me and I tell all my friends about him as I introduce him to new people everyday. I feel like an "Ambassador to Joe". Anyway, I was listening to him tonight and got pumped up as usual and thought I'd get on here and say hi to all the other millions of fans he has acquired over his sonic journeys. I can't wait to get back to the states and catch another concert of his. I've seen him 4x....twice in San Jo', once in SF at the Fillmore and once in ATL. AWESOME every time! I would really like to meet Joe someday in person, maybe jam a little with him as I play guitar too and he has been my mentor, my guitar god if you will. I wish I could play like him someday. Who doesn't, right? Well, I guess I'll sign off now, but just remember us over here and hope to be back home in the USofA real soon. Surfin' in Iraq!

I had the opportunity to meet Joe with the Platinum package in Columbus, OH. He signed my transparent red JS. What an incredibly nice guy! There were so many things I wanted to say after having been a fan for so long, but with the crowd waiting, all I got out was to thank him for producing the best music. Period. And to tell him that his music has been the sound track of my life - from the highest highs to the lowest lows.
To me, the Joe connection hasn't ever been about who's the fastest player or the heaviest, it's that Joe writes GREAT songs that speak to people - not to mention the technical abilities! Very rarely does someone posses the technical prowess he does with an ability to create such beautiful and meaningful music. In my opinion, the purest form of expression is the guitar (not words, not painting, not photography) and Joe has simply taken this to a level beyond my comprehension.
So, Joe, thanks again for the life time body of work, how it has touched and influenced me in many facets of my life, for offering the platinum experience, and for being so pleasant to finally meet. As my license plate on my Corvette says, 1 BIGRSH, it's was really one big rush to meet you after having seen you 7 times.

mowlie_2000: It depends on where you live man.... For ex., I used to live in Hermosa Beach CA., and the further East you went (certain areas), you could tell if you shouldnt be there, lol!.... Bars on the windows (when is the last time a hurricane hit Cali, lol!!), cars on blocks, etc.... I do believe, however, that Hollyweird overdoes reality.... I was a little unweary when I first moved there, but when I got there, I realised that the media is full of shit and would love to live there again!!.... Each place is how you make it....

GUITARSRULE, I just checked out your songs and was very impressed. You even kept a "live" feel to your lead tracks. sometime when you have a minute i would realy like to hear about your setup and gear. also what recording software you use too. cakewalk or similar? anyway keep up the great work and let me know when your cd gets released.
