I can see where 962 is coming from. It may be raw, but its real emotion.

I am not saying you are all of those, but you have come off to me as extremely patriotic, war crazed and someone who fails to look into the negativity of the government they are rallying for. You also told people from other countries to not have a say in American politics.

This is as baseless as your response to the bullshit 962 posted about Crawford Texas backing Kerry. It simply is shallow and reactionary (see a stereotype there?) Crawford Texas is a town of 700 people. In 1999 Laura and George bought a ranch 9 miles out of town and put Crawford on the map. In 2000 a liberal propaganda newspaper started in Crawford. (See any hidden agenda there?) I said people have a right to their opinion where ever they live. They have no right to affect the outcome of American politics.

Thinking is like playing the guitar; the more you do it the better you get at it.

Practice... Practice... Practice.

By the way, I still voted for Gore and also expressed that while I served under Regan I didn't agree with everything he did. I have stated this but you refuse to see past your own narrow stereotypes. That’s the beauty of youth, you can be so misinformed yet people have a tendency to forgive you.

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

Remember, there is no way you can look as bad as that person on your drivers license.

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay them.

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

11. Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER: Humpty Dumpty was pushed!

An Actual Psycho Test

Read this question, come up with an answer, and then scroll down to the bottom for the result. This is not a trick question. It is as it reads. No one I know has got it right -including me.

A woman, while at the funeral of her own mother, met this guy whom she did not know. She thought this guy was amazing, She believed him to be her dream and she fell in love with him right there but did not ask for his number and no matter how hard she tried she could not find him. A few days later she killed her sister.

Question: What is her motive in killing her sister?

Give this some real thought before you answer.

(Scroll Down)

(Scroll Down)

Answer: She was hoping that the guy would appear at the funeral again.

If you answered this correctly, you think like a psychopath. This was a test by a famous American Psychologist used to test if one has the same mentality as a killer. Many arrested serial killers took part in the test and answered the question correctly.

If you didn't answer the question correctly good for you.

If you got the answer correct, please let me know so I can take you off of my email list

DammMissNamm How is it possible for another country to affect an outcome just by an opinion? You seemed to go off on the British simply for stating an opinion. Thats what got 962 worked up. It doesnt matter if a town has 700 or 7000 people. If the majority of the town did not endorse Bush, so be it. What has Bush's ranch got to do with this? If the newspaper is liberal and endorsed Kerry, that great. But my main comment was about the stereotypes people build up. You used phrases like "bring it on." Thats a very dangerous statement to bring up to a bunch of terrorists who obviously have nothing to lose. Such mentality (action without thought) is what is bringing some of us to believe that you are a war crazed individual. Bush did not want time to think before the war. He just rushed to the last resort.

Again, I dont think youre a bad guy at all. Just that our first impressions of you seem to be dictating our judgements. You said you support Tony Blair. Great...but do you see the current link between Bush and Blair? Then you back it up by saying you voted for Gore.

Being young or old doesnt have anything to do thinking. Its experience.

Zinc: I was in somewhere on the left side in the middle. I was wearing Navy Blue golf shirt with Khaki pants. My date was wearing a baby blue tank top and black pants. If you think you saw us (drumroll) weeeeeeeee!

My response was that she killed her sister because she was dating the guy whom she was in love with. Does that mean I am a pervert? maybe! lmao!

Cuthbert: Kerry is not Bush! Really, I have become sick of the republican propaganda to back the war. I am tired of people like Karzai being given power and the Saudi's still sitting on the throne. I am sick of the "Freedom for Oil" program....and my hands have become tired of this constant typing.....I think I will retire on the LazyBoy and play with Kiwi.

My point exactly, so why give a shit?

Ask your doctor to check your short term memory man, or pass me the Afghani 1!... I just want to get on the same page with you dude.

My "bring it on" comment was (once again) in response to the terrorist that want to affect the outcome of our lives with their opinion i.e.. Jihad, flying planes into buildings......

If the majority of the town did not endorse Bush, so be it. What has Bush's ranch got to do with this? If the newspaper is liberal and endorsed Kerry, that great. But my main comment was about the stereotypes people build up.

This is simply not true. The majority in Crawford have had economic prosperity due to tourism.

Or here for demographics of Crawford Texas

Predominantly white and redneck. I think they are for bush, at least based off of your stereotypes. So how did you and 962 come up with the BASELESS fact that Crawford was for Kerry? 962 stated it and you supported it.....

That's youth not experience and definitely not thought provoked. Reactionary and condescending maybe?

If anyone missed the Ashlee Simpson thing, here it is again:

http://www.collegehumor.com/news/ashlee_snl.wmv

jazzzzzzzy - "So when Kerry gets endorsed in Crawford, relatively its a bigger blow to the republicans as opposed to Bush being endorsed in Kerry's hometown."

How does that relate to the fact that the Republicans supposedly show support polls all the time while Democrats supposedly do not?

The Republicans say Bush is winning, so it's a huge deal when a newspaper read by less than 500 people endorses the other guy? That doesn't say much at all, especially when a larger paper in Kerry's hometown endorsed Bush. I don't see your connection, and I think both endorsements should be non-issues.

"Again, I always find you criticising the Dems."

Read my post again and you will notice that I mentioned Bush / Lowell AND acknowledged the Kerry / Crawford thing brought up by 962.

"Are you sure you're not voting Republican?"

I've already told you I'm not. Would you like me to tell you again after I fill out my absentee ballot this afternoon?

"If the majority of the town did not endorse Bush, so be it."

That is completely incorrect.

The majority of the town does in fact support Bush. The editor of the newspaper does not. As an editor, he can say his newspaper endorses the candidate of his choosing. It does not mean the town supports that endorsement. It just means he supports it.

962 - "that bit of news broke about 10 minutes before I posted it."

Do you have a link? I did another Google News search this morning and I can't find anything.

Suzie2000 - "I read about that Ashley Simpson incident- what exactly happened? Did she just bugger up her miming?"

The clip I posted was the start of the second of two songs on SNL. To start the second song, someone (the sound guy, the drummer, or...?) incorrectly played the audio tape for the first song. The band was confused for a few seconds (after all, they were supposed to play a different song), but they caught on to the mistake and played along with it... Ashlee was completely lost, however. She didn't try to sing, but the vocals from the tape played anyway.

Zinc Master - "why do they wait until the last minute?"

Fanfire probably doesn't get the tickets from the venue or from the promoter until the last minute.

gder3344 - The JS 1000 has a whammy bar, and the JS 2000 does not.
Master Yoda - Go here to see a picture of a few hacky sacks. I bet you've seen them before...maybe they go by a different name in the UK. I've also heard them called footbags.

Basically, you get a group of people and stand in a circle. You hit the sack back and forth from person to person without using your hands...you can use your feet, knees, head, shoulder, elbow, etc. It's similar to the drill that soccer (football) players do to warm up, only it doesn't use that huge ball. ;-)

...Austin...

Clarky, yeah I got the "bush getting me killed" thing.

And yeah the mongols and the romans met. Rome invested a quarter of it's enitre army in Britain, and had to keep all those troops here in their attempt to overthrow the barbarians (the Britons). Keeping all those troops here for years at a time became very expensive.

While this was going on, small handfulls of Mongols were entering the Roman empire from the east. On occasion, there would be a brief skirmish, but word quickly spread to rome that the Mongols were viscous, horrifying warriors with great strength and bravery, so the Romans paid them to leave Rome alone.

This was cool with the mongols cause they didn't really give a shit about the land - they realised they could rinse the romans for a whole lot of hard cash in gold, so they'd come visit every couple of months and the Romans, right on cue, would pay them to go back to Mongolia.

The cost of paying off the Mongols actually became so high that Rome had to start to withdraw legions of troops from Britannia, and as this happened, it was enough of a shift in our favour that we were able to beat them into submission, which is when they gave up and ran screaming back to Rome.

DamnIMissNamm, yeah clutch missed the arrival of it's "c". Strike me down for I have sinned, Mr Oxford Dictionary SIR.

Also, I said "I wouldn't be overly surprised if...". I didn't say "you are...", and if you can't tell the difference between the two then you need to go back to school man! At no point have I actually said that I reckon you're racist and homophobic, because you have said nothing that indicates these traits - I'm just saying that, judging by your attitude, and the way you deal with people who, god forbid, have a different opinion to yours, that you're the sort of simple person who feels hostility to anybody whose skin is a funny colour, or who looks at men like a rural loner might look at their dog.

Fornicate off and decease? god that's low. I mean pathetic. This is the only time that I won't be ignoring you - I don't pay much attention to bullshitters.

Jazzy, thanks for sharing your wisdom on the (above) discussion dude, it's good to see that somebody else understands what i'm saying, even if you don't agree with all my points of view! Cheers man!
Austin, no, no link cause I saw it on BBC News! I dunno, I guess it's hardly major news so it'll be hard to find - I personally thought the interesting bit was that Bush's cronies tried to get the paper shut down, regardless of what scale the news company is on! I just thought it was interesting though - nothing more. Sorry, I gotta be careful what I share now, cause the International Thought Police (ITP) might arrest me, put me behind bars in Guantanamo fuckin bay for six months without any interrogation or evidence, all just because, shock-horror, I shared an opinion!

Don't think I saw you at the concert, but your response is troubling. You should immediately check yourself in for a two week evaluation - that way you will miss election day (ha ha ha) - unless you vote absentee ballot.

Just kidding.

To add more fuel to the election fire

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Chief Justice William Rehnquist (news - web sites), the leader of the Supreme Court's conservative majority, has undergone surgery for thyroid cancer, a court spokeswoman said on Monday.

His illness, disclosed just eight days before the presidential election, threw a focus on the issue of possible replacements for aging judges on the nine-member court, some of whom are expected to retire during the next presidency.

Britons Want Homer Simpson as U.S. President

LONDON (Reuters) - Doughnut-chomping, beer-guzzling Homer Simpson may not be the model father but he has won the hearts of British TV fans who want the nuclear power plant worker to be the next U.S. president.

Former president George Bush (news - web sites) notoriously said American families should be "closer to the Waltons than the Simpsons" but Homer was overwhelming favorite in a Radio Times magazine poll on which U.S. TV character should take over at the White House.

As Americans ponder tax and security pledges from President Bush (news - web sites) and Democratic rival John Kerry (news - web sites) ahead of the November 2 poll, television fans have been considering Homer slogans such as "No big government, just big waist sizes."

In a manifesto compiled for the magazine by The Simpsons' writing staff, the bumbling animated TV hero also pledges: "I promise there will be fewer nuclear disasters with me as your mayor than with me as your nuclear safety inspector."

Homer got 24 percent of the vote in the poll of more than 2,000 readers. Second place went to the more obvious choice of Josiah Bartlet, the president played by Martin Sheen in "The West Wing."

Pompous but eloquent radio psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane was third followed by Sergeant Bilko from "The Phil Silvers Show." Gil Grissom from "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" was fifth with 10 percent of the vote. Other favorites were Jack Bauer from "24," "The Cosby Show's" Dr. Cliff Huxtable, Phoebe Buffay from "Friends" and "The Sporanos'" Tony Soprano.
