Hey, check out the band Stu Clone and I are in if you get a chance.
http://www.myspace.com/thejanitorsofchaos
On the Satch cover(Devil's slide) the other guitarist (john) and myself trade leads with me going first, and in "The Riddle of Steel" he takes the first solo(clean tone) and I take the second solo(distorted, sucks).
All the tracks are from our last show.Apologies for wrong notes and such, it is live! :D
let me know what you think.

Clarky, I personally reckon that yeah, almost certainly, that was your technique stepping up a notch, just for a brief moment. And perhaps not so much your physical technique with your hands, but perhaps the way you think about playing. I would guess that you had spent so long thinking about that lick, trying it over and over, and then almost giving up, that the last time you did it, you didn't really concentrate thoroughly on it cause you assumed you'd fuck it up anyway.
And at that point, your subconscious was controlling your technique, which freed up space in your conscious mind to think about other aspects of that lick....trickier aspects perhaps.
I may be wrong, but I've experienced that a number of times, each time being a small revelation, leading me up to the next plateaux of ability, until I can do it again......there's no smooth, linear improvement for me! hehe
Jazzzzzy, no i've not heard "heaven".....do you know where I can get samples?
Stevee T, all I can recommend is doing a couple of mixes, burnign them to CD and playing them on some different players of your own - ie. walkman, Hi-Fi, decent quality CD player and amp, and PC....that should show you which sounds most consistent.
Delfino, good luck! I know it's a bit late now since your interview is in 6 minutes, but the thought was there!
marimariSRV, thanks loads for your mail, it's hilarious!

962 Cheers dude, I've just got back from the interview. There were two guys, and both were pretty cool. They said that they didn't have much to ask since I included nearly everything they needed on my CV. :-)
They said I made the "short list", but they also said I was the first person they had seen and that if I didn't get the job to keep trying when vacancies open up in the future.
Its a really cool place, not too big, not too small and the work hours are there for the taking so fingers crossed they hire me :-)

Zenfish:thanks bro,i have so much music in my head its really not funny,my next album will be more blues rock with all the other stuff i,ve learnt along the way,so i see some Zen in there & if poss some others 2 here.I,m well up for pushing good players to be heard, but first steps first.
1Finishing this last track on my album is proving t be a curse sent from hell,i just cant overcome the technique involved for clean chord changes & arps at mo & i,m working like a mother t overcome this
2Getting Clarkys parts for Blue Bossa & mixing down, sending it t Ron in New York t put t site via net.
3When i,ve done this,i,ll have a think about 3
Something i noticed along the way...The first song y jam with a new band is always the best or i should say has been for me,best record it & move on.We will jam & rec that day & it will be good...music for some reason is like that, have y noticed? Its a bit like relations with a woman y f**k around, its always good, but y dont know where t plant yer root for life, then one day BINGO! lol

Ethn Hayabusa Great stuff. Marryann live is a very cool song. Could you guys play like that, at that speed for four hours a night, six days a week like Joe? I don't know how he does it! I like devils slide. A bit to much octive though, but like you said, it is live. I see that you are local. E-mail me, if you would, when you gig again, at The Swamp . I would like to hear ya live. Don.

Hey Joe ...waz up?
I'd like to say thanks man' for all the G3 tours.
I wish more tours like this existed...
No other group of musicians aside from Paco, John and Al do this type of thing on a large international scale.
*Man! Bro you rock'm fresh!
I'm sure you must get this question a zillion times a year... but I was wondering how you go about choosing the G3 line-ups? I'm sure many potential artists have had to decline the opportunity do to conflicting schedules. Right?
So far, all your guests have been high profile players which is understandable for ticket sale purposes. But, have you ever considered exposing any new upcoming talents in one of those three slots ?
Just when you think you know of all the great 'cats' out there... 'along comes a spider'. (I've heard some sick young players recently.) Wouldn't it be cool to freak the audience out? One name comes to mind... Guthrie Govan.
Have you heard this dude play?
Anyways, thanks again for all the orgasmic tunes and excellent shows.
Cheers!!!
PS: The first time I saw you play live was many years ago (Flying In A Blue Dream Tour) and a guy sprawled on the stage and snatched one of your pedals! <<(Snatching from Satch....unbelievable -Ha!)
I don't think he made it that far before security plowed him down. Hehehe

Cherry Lane is publishing Joe's "Is There Love In Space" tab book. One of the sites I've found it on is at Amazon.com, but it hasn't been released yet. I pre-ordered it for my son, and they've told me the estimated shipping date is December 13th! You might try looking there!
