Michelle Brutes are great lol...Everytime comes into view the phrase "Well hello Mr. Fuzzy-Britches" comes to mind...

I think all the characters in it are really well animated, but the Brutes have got a really cool run...its like a Gorilla running...mixed with a Rhino charging.

I got another picture of my fat cat...this time its of her sleeping in her actual bed...I'll post a link in my edit...

The one song that I can remember right now - came out in the mid-1980's, maybe late 1980's

It was called, Owner of a Lonely Heart. Had a cool video - guy was "seeing" things - thought he was going nuts.

Eventually ran off the roof of a building, and on the way down, turned into an eagle.

Not sure, right now, what the name of the "record" was (cd's weren't around much back then).

Hello all. I would like to thank everyone who gave me some input on disortion pedals. I hate the sound of Marshall Amps....personally, so I'm not using one for anyone who thought I was. I am using a Line 6 Spider-II 210, and Fender 900 Deluxe (Dyna-Touch). I went with the 900 Deluxe instead of marshall amps or a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, because I liked the clean channel setting a little better. They both have their own distortion settings and sound great, but I want to create my own sound. Does any one know about chaining? I am thinkin' about jus' doubling up my Ibanez TS-9, because I love it's tone so much. My other choice is usin' a DS-1 and my TS-9 in conjunction with each other. Give me your guys' input it means alot. Thanks and peace!

If Joe ain't using the Ds1 on the Jsx, how can he get any distortion before the Digitech Whammy Pedal???; cause the JSX ultra and crunch channels comes after the Digitech Whammy Pedal.

Jelly - I'm talking about theeeeeeee Schenker... the blonde boxhead with a flying V, cocked wah who is in my opinion one of the first "in-flight" shredders that played soaring solos..

stevee T - Taxi sounds interesting... if it's ok with you... we'll talk more on this when my album is ready.... thanx bro...

my new music will not go onto the internet...
I'll be releasing it on CD...

bahduh - yes... lives are lost... but lost in the most dishonerable fashion...

ETA are no hero's of mine...

optical - now I'm 39... and the reason I have so much "say" over my music is because I'm not signed and doing everything myself.....
yes I'd love to make it my "day job"... but in reality, a record Co would never sign me... I'm simply too old... but that's ok... I'll do it all myself on a tiny scale and maybe my music will at least get to entertain a few.. and for even that little thing, I'll be greatful....
obviously if something bigger ever came of it I'd be over the moon...

thanx for your support and good wishes.....

It's people like you that encourage me that I'm on the right path..

that gives me the strength to never give in...

Zen - a freedom fighters and resistance fighters believe themselve to be under occupation by a foreign power..
they attack the enemy military and government... just like the Greeks and French under Nazi occupation......
to me, this is complteely acceptable...

Terrorists attack civilians and soft targets...... hide.. and run away....

sorry bro.. terrorism is something I have nothing but contempt for..

yoda - variety is definately the spice of life...... this is so good for you... I went though a little phase of learning Martin Taylor stuff... it's really hard... lol...

these days the 90% of the music I play on guitar is actually mine....

Jazzy - for the next thing to work on....take a look at Genocide from Unleashed.....

awesome stuff.................

******I just got the new GuitarOne Magazine in the mail today... I was looking through it, I came to a page with "The Top 10 Worst Guitar Tones of All Time", I was going through the list, kind of agreeable, but not really, and then, for NUMBER 6, they have Satriani???? What idiot put that list together!!! They have Satriani as the 6th worst guitar tone of all time?!?! Anyone else see it yet, I subscribe to G1, so I get it before it hits the stands. Can anyone else believe that!!! So many people wish they had the same tone he gets! I guess we all have bad taste in tone for liking Joe Satriani and wanting to get the same tone he has? (just kidding, showing that the editor for the G1 mag. was an idiot to put that list together, mainly to put Satch in there) ---For Joe himself, (if he even reads this) can you believe G1 mag put you as the 6th worst guitar tone of all time!?!?!!?*****

TravisHodges I really couldn't find any good dist. pedals today when I was out. I have been using my DS-1 for distortion, I like it, but I still need a boost for solos. Last week I thought of doubling up, using two DS-1's, keep the settings I have on mine now, buy another, and use it as my enhancer/booster. I hope it works out how I want it to, if not, I will just have to keep searching and trying other stuff. You should try it also, either double up two tubescreamers, or use the DS-1 after the tubescreamer to give you that extra edge you want, it might work out good, I don't own a tubescreamer so I couldn't let you know, but try both of those ideas out. I know Satriani used two DS-1's for a song or two on "Strange Beautiful Music", so the doubling up should work out good, i hope. I was also thinking about getting a Zack Wylde overdrive pedal, and then use it for either my distortion or my enhancer/booster.

I know a lot of people use other pedals to enhance/boost their sound for solos or whatever. Does anybody here use the DS-1 or a diff. dist. pedal and then use something else for a boost? If so, let me know what you use, I need to find something to add in after my DS-1. Or, does anyone know if two DS-1's sound good? Use one for you main distortion sound, and then the 2nd for the boost. I know others probably do what I am talking about, so let me know what you use.

Zinc Master The list is bull!!! Well, the list is ok, but there is no reason Satriani should even be on the list at all!

Everyone go out and get the new GuitarOne magazine to see what I am talking about, there is a picture of Zack Wylde on the cover, it might be in stores in like a week or so, not sure, but go out and get one, you can see for yourselves. The magazine is really good, but they are wrong, Satriani has one of the best tones/sound around at this time. I am going to post up on this site what it said under his picture and his name.

Ok, here's what the magazine says... Top 10 Worst Guitar Tones of All Time -A list of 1-10 people. #6 is Joe Satriani. They have this next to his picture and name. "You've got to give Satch a little credit: his alien tone sounds like no other guitarist's, and no other guitarist sounds like him. But then, is sounding like Charlie Brown's teacher on speed something you want as your tonal legacy?" --That is right from the magazine. I know what they are saying, but he shouldn't be on the list at all. I bet a ton of people will agree with me on this. And then, throughout the magazine, they have ads for books with Satch's music in it, his JS100 guitar, and even another page for him in the magazine. The magazine always has a "Return of the Shred. Terrifying Licks of the 80's." They have Joe Satriani, "degree of difficulty-9.0". They have a Satch lick from Circles or Big Bad Moon, I wasn't sure, they didn't really specify which song it's from.

i have been playing for eight years but just recently my music has beeen really smooth because i have gone from rock to metal and now arpeggio-neoclassical. i have really been influenced by you, eddie van halen, and yngwie malmsteen but for some reason my neoclassical arpeggio and rock/metal seems to be the very opposite of what i want it to sound like. my sound is from eddie, my technique is in between you and yngwie but th hardest part is trying to figure out what i'm missing can you give me some pointers on arpeggio scales? if you can i would be very thankful and mabye i will be playing up there on stage with you some day.
