I'm not sure anyone can see into our future. However, it's no secret this has been the worst administration in the history of the United States. Anything is an upgrade.

I'm not seeing this as change for the sake of change. In my mind, when you've hit rock bottom, there's only one way to go.

I do respect this comment by you. 'Change for the sake of change is no better than adherence to course for fear of change.' Excellent!

I just got on here and was wondering where you can see peoples' gig reviews. The Add Review page says it's under the tour section, but I can't find where that is. I just added my own for the 10/30 Austin show. Thanks.

interesting mail (well I found it interesting)....

I know some of you guys don't give a flying fuck what the rest of the world thinks of your election, but 113,552 people from 191 countries voted anyway and here's the results:

Candidate__Votes_____Percentage
Bush________10221____9.0 %
Kerry________87446____77.1 %
Cobb________4347_____3.8 %
Nader_______7622_____6.7 %
Brown______2292_____2.0 %
Peroutka_____345______0.3 %
Badnarik_____1279_____1.1 %

marimariSRV, yeah I saw the Last Samurai and loved it, but not seen Hero. Hey let me know what you think of Kenny's new CD.

Oh, and you just had to go and tell me that Kenny's coming to your area again, didn't you?! hehe. I'm dead jealous!

If you haven't voted yet, check this out before you do so:

punkdude, good Song Of The Day.....I'll always support an Eric Johnson song for SOTD! hehe
Clarky, okay yeah fair point on sophistication! hehe. Train of thoughts....we done beer.....hot rocks surf restaurant......hot bird who plied Clarky with cool beer.....I wonder if the hot bird's still there!

By the way, you know the kid who told us "Are you going to see Satriani this evening? Oh, well, he's playing just up the hill" and you said "oh?...no, we're here to see xxxxxx". Who was it (xxxxxx) that you said we were going to see? I can't remember who you said, but I know it was fuckin hilarious!

OCPS470, ToneBone? Does it have a valve in it? So you weren't using a speaker cab then, just using line out from the amp? It sounds pretty nice, the speaker modelling is pretty good! What software are you using on the PC?

I did not mean to imply that you and I on a personal basis have hit rock bottom. Nor that we as a people are suffering more than any people in history. That would be too far fetched even for an internet chat board. What I meant was what I wrote. I believe this has been the worst administration in history. So, in other words, our Country has hit the bottom of the barrel as far as administrations go. The basic idea is that it's pretty difficult to get worse than the worst ever. Does that make sense?

Did anybody watch this show anyway? If so - was it bad?

NBC has pulled "Father of the Pride," its expensive foray into computer-animated prime-time comedy, off its schedule for the key November "sweeps" ratings period, the network said.

I see where your coming from. And I agree with you. I also see our current system as two party. Until that changes, I feel voting for any but my choice of the two is throwing my vote away. So, if you want to think of it as the lesser of two evils, that makes sence.

Spam Is Back

LONDON (Reuters) - Spam, the luncheon meat which valiantly sustained Britain's war effort only to suffer so cruelly at the hands of Monty Python, is being relaunched in the UK.

A 2 million-pound campaign will feature the first TV adverts for the brand, portraying it as quintessentially British despite the fact it was invented in America and is now largely produced in Denmark.

"It celebrates all things British from camping to the great British institution of the pantomime," Spam said of the adverts.

"With the new ad we will remind lapsed users about the delicious taste of Spam whilst raising awareness among new users," said senior brand manager, Marianne Pollock.

Spam estimates the brand is worth 13.3 million pounds in the UK, where sales are growing 9.7 percent a year against a declining market for canned meat.

First produced in 1937 by Hormel Foods Corp of the United States, Spam became an institution during World War II when it was rammed into square cans to save shipping space.

Hormel shipped 15 million cans of food to soldiers each week, and Soviet Union leader Nikita Khrushchev credited Spam with saving the Russian army from starvation, the firm says on its Web Site http://www.spam.com.

The chopped meat gave its name to junk e-mail because of a sketch by British comedians Monty Python in which singing Vikings kept drowning out a waitress offering dishes such as spam, egg, spam, spam, bacon and spam.

slan, sooo glad you're out of there. It sounds like you would have been better off sleeping in a tent! I hope your new place gives you the comfort you deserve. I've already lived with the mice and roaches and I don't wish that on anybody. I hope neither of us never have to deal with that crap again.

ahh..the joys of monty python.

but this one is one of my favs -

"You know, there are many people in the country today who, through no fault of their own, are sane. Some of them were born sane. Some of them became sane later in their lives. It is up to people like you and me who are out of our tiny little minds to try and help these people overcome their sanity. You can start in small ways with ping-pong ball eyes and a funny voice and then you can paint half of your body red and the other half green and then you can jump up and down in a bowl of treacle going "squawk, squawk, squawk..." And then you can go "Neurhhh! Neurhhh!" and then you can roll around on the floor going "pting pting pting.."

962: The Tonebone has a tube, but i replaced it with a JJ ECC83S which was classified as high gain. I think I explained the amp rig poorly though... I disconnect the speaker, and send the speaker jack out to the Hughes and Kettner Red box pro which simulates mics and speakers. It send an XLR to the PC for recording, and a speaker out to either a cab, or a dummy load to prevent the amp from frying. A lot of times a put an adapter on the XLR and send it to a DD6 and out in stereo tp the PC for some of the coolest delay tones. As far as software, I'm using Sonic Foundry's Vegas for recording/mixing/editing etc. Great, great program....easy to use, great sound quality, great compression and eqing tools and solid FX. Most of the sound quality though comes from the Aardvark Q10 that is the AtoD converter. I'm using it to record at 24bit 96khz...and this thing just sounds amazing! I've been recording a demo with lots of accoustic guitar for a friend of mine, and it translates his Martin exactly as I hear it. It isn't harsh and it doesn't color the tone. 24/96 recording is the first time that I think digital is truly reprodusing a 1to1 version of what it hears via the mic.

I voted!

962: As I was waiting in line today, I just wondered about what you said. If every non American citizen living in America votes, no way would bush ever win. Would never be close. Lets see who wins. I think both the candidates rallied their butts off. Americans should go vote.

Cuthbert: haha...towelheads. Did you know, I lived in Kuwait in from 1991 to 1995 and from 1998 to 2000? I called several of my friends towelheads. It was a joke....especially towards the assholes. They always called me a honky for being from the US.

Michelle: If you can, please pick up Megadeth's The System has Failed. Its just brilliant.

Crushing tom: I think you need a threesome....is that what you mean by sandwich?...if you preference is male, Zenfish and Cuthbert are always ready. They're both from rainbowland...hehe...especially Zenfish.
