DoTheStu - Thanks for your opinion on the gang culture. It was very enlightening. Oh and by the way, I actually own that film as I saw it once back when it first came out and, once it was realeased, I had to buy it. It is hillarious!!! I think that the Wayans are excellent, especially the sitcom "My Wife And Kids".

SaaTcHm0 - Hi...welcome to the site! :-)

When will you be coming home? Joe is doing a quick west coast tour between Christmas and New Year's...I thought I'd let you know in case you'll be in the area.

What Satch albums do you have with you in Iraq? What songs do you find work best for turning your friends into Satch fans?

Ricky Garcia - I'm listening to the interview now...awesome. :-)
DamIMissNam - "We have made plans to see [Joe] in San Francisco on the 26th."

I'll be at that show... Keep in touch...it'd be cool to meet you.

Mr Nick - "[Bush is] intent on taking over every country in the world"

How do you figure?

alison mcveigh - Hi... 4 of the 5 songs on Joe's original EP were rereleased on Time Machine. The first song on the EP, Talk To Me, was not included because there were problems with the master tape.

You can download Talk To Me by clicking here.

ReyDelacero - Lower the whammy bar with your left hand, play pinch harmonics near the 24th fret with your right hand, and raise the whammy bar with your left hand.
Stevee T - "How bout sum Marty Feldman?"

I watched Young Frankenstein on Halloween...man, that is such a great movie.

Walk this way...

...Austin...

Michelle, yesterday you posted about the violence your family faced in their city and i was wondering what city you were talking about so i stay away from it at least in wisconsin we don't see that kind of violence but we breed serial killers instead

michelle & Do The Stu - thanks for recommending the Dream theater albums, I'll pick them up soon.

We had a great time at the Austin show!! The band sounded fantastic and getting to talk with Joe again for a couple minutes was cool!! He gave us an autographed 8 x 10 photo of himself after our time was up. They posted our pictures today , I like most of them , especially our pic with Joe!! I took a few good ones of the boys playing too. Also had fun squealing the tires on my 04 mustang rental car. Sorry it took me so long to post , I'm usually here everyday to see what going on but missed Mon & Tues... later

Mick, you...you mean your...not...a 110 year old chain-smoker?? Geez man, we really need more pictures up on this site. lol! ;-) Sorry you're feeling crappy. It seems to be going around. As for work and my boss, he's pretty cool, so he has sympathy when one of us isn't at 100%. Glad that headache fell on my night off. I would have never made it. lol! Hope your throat is feeling better soon. As for Bush, everything happens for a reason. All I can do is scratch me bum and wonder WHY? lol!

Stace, I saw the commercials, but I would never watch that part of the show. Actually, the only part of that show that I do ever watch is the physical challenge part. Can't stomach the rest.

WHOA! The temp. is supposed to drop down to 28 to 32 degrees f. tonight!! Where's my blankie!!

Slan, normal? Shit man, this one is gunna leave a mark.

Stevee T, duh dah dah dah? lol!

eamon7, that would be Reading, PA. It's where I lived for 26 years. It used to be a fantastic city, but as the years went on it got worse. There are still some safe parts in the city, and some parts are still very nice. The bad part of the city used to be mostly confined to a certain area, but now it's leaching out. People find it easy to do crime there, so they stay. The good people move out. That bad people move in. Austin is right in saying if you mind your bidness you're better off, but if a guy stops you to ask you for a cig or some money, you better get ready to throw down a judo chop! lol!

In 2000, it was ranked 44th in violent crime. Could be worse, but keep in mind thats just violent crime, not all crime. Check it out. I just googled this info, so I don't know how accurate it is.

PhryDom, Atlanta was #1. Better wear a cup.

edit - to add to the crime discussion, here is the text from todays online local newspaper -

Brenda *******-********, 31, Reading, was robbed of her purse by a man with a knife Monday night shortly before 8 in the 400 block of South 10th Street. *******-******** was walking when the man approached from behind, put the knife to her neck and demanded her purse. She gave it to him and he ran away. Police did not know what the purse contained.

*my sister lives 3 blocks away*

A man with a .22-caliber rifle shot out two tires and fired a third bullet through the roof of a car Sunday night in the 1000 block of Pershing Boulevard. Neighbors saw the man dressed in black shoot into the car and then run away. Three shell casings were found.

Lucinda *****, 32, Reading, was robbed at gunpoint of nearly $100 Sunday about 3 a.m. as she walked in the 800 block of Mulberry Street. Schell was approached by a man who pulled out a handgun and demanded money. She turned over cash, and the gunman ran away. He was described as black, about 20 years old and almost 6-feet tall with a medium build.

*we lived 2 blocks from there when we lived in the city*

Stephen **********, 45, Reading, was robbed of about $75 by two gunmen Saturday about 10 p.m. in the 1000 block of Moss Street. ********* was walking when the men walked up to him, pulled out handguns and demanded that he empty his pockets. ********* turned over money, and the gunmen ran away.

*my parents live 3 blocks from there*

It's a shame really.

Hi all! Good to see Silmarien again! How are things?

michelle: yep, and on sunday afternoon an 18 year old got stabbed at the picnic grounds (first basin) at the gorge in broad daylight. We don't have a beach (being a bit inland) so this is where all the kids and families go for sun and swim ...

Monday night went okay. Very nervous to start with, and technical problems bothered me for the first 30 minutes, but things went well for the rest. No major problems. Apparently my Mum listens to me on air (she doesn't like the music, just her son being a radio presenter). My band is going up to play in her area on Saturday night, so I'm hoping she and Dad come to watch as they haven't seen me play in a band since the school production. My sister is keen to be there.

NASCAR sucks.

While the world is trying its best to conserve oil, dumb rednecks are burning it away in circles.

Ugh, earth.

My benjamin franklin dream is still bothering me. His house was this beautiful mansion spread around with green grass. He was having a bbq and drinking wine or maybe champagne. Around his house were beautiful lamps that gave a beautiful glow during nighttime. I was there with my friend Tyler and we were hiding behind a bush( ! )

Good night my homosapien friends.

Dear Joe,

First, sorry my english…it´s abit rusty.

4 months ago my daddy died and I was effected to a certain degree, but it was after a long period of illness so his soul deserved relief.

I kinda got into a wrong turn, got depressed and forgot my values in live. I´ve been playing the drums for nearly 20 years, loved music since birth, grown up with the full panorama of varities witin the sphere of music…music was my fellowfriend…the icons such as Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Morrison, was part of my life since childhood. Classical masterpieces, jazz, any kind of music as long the communication balanced with the techniqe used on the specific instruments used.

The music was my cornerstone in life and when I really needed it I couldn´t find salvation in it as I used too…

Several friends has tried to get me into you, but for various reasons I never came around.

By coincidence I watched a G3 concert from Minnisota 96, You, Vai and Johonson…3 weeks ago…man Joe, Thanks!

Suddenly on the second number you play, damn…neighbors was fucking harssing me on the doorbell and me standing there…just newly revitalised on everything I´ve ever connected to music…

The drive, the concepts that you just put out there in the most beautiful universes…so nicely backed up by your drummer and bass.

But what made me finally decide to write to you, thank you for what your creations had animated in me was your voodoo child song from the G3 set with Vai and Yngwe…Hendrix is my main inspirationsource and you treathing him like that…bringing him up to you…it was Jimi evoveled into the 90´s, you have my deepest respect and admiration.

Now after using these two G3 concerts as a kind of mantra the last weeks I´m fully recovered after the death of my father, my life is on track again…but mostly I´ve rediscovered the joy of creation.

The joy you show while playing made me cry…it´s so beatiful, moves on such high frequences, it inspired me to live my life again.

I really hope that I catch you playing the next time i´m the US…or maybe you come around to Europe…anyway…I´m looking forward to meeting you in concert.

May you flourish and prosper and the best postulates for you and your familys eternity…you have for sure contributed to mine…

Sincerely Yours,

Thomas Tuwel Cook

Zinc Master, hmmm, i find it somewhat disturbing that Bush "relied on British intelligence". I know it's not just his fault that this is going to end up being a dangerous place to live....Tony's done quite a bit to help along the way, but none of it would have happened if George W hadn't started it in the first place.

The retaliation against Al Qaeda was expected, although "making-do" with a plain old war on Afghanistan was a slight surprise. The war on Iraq was just weird. There was no real sense behind it, false motives, and after a few months he had manipulated the american people to believe that Iraq was linked with 9/11. The only link between the two is that they both something to do with people from the Middle East.

I was wondering, who will Bush have as his squad for the next four years? will it be Powell, Cheney and Rice again?
