Do The Stu, I'm totally amazed that no one has posted a positive response to the possibility of playing on stage with Joe...even if they'd have to submit a audio format of their work to qualify.

Due to the fact that I have not seen...not even 1 person say...Yeah...count me in....I'll rely on my email to Mick Bridgen (Joe's Manager) for a response (which I really don't expect a positive answer to, cause no one would enter anyway)! lol.

So, at this point...it appears that this would simply be an irritant to uninterested members, as you've suggested.

If Mick, or Joe respond to my email...I'll gladly let you's guy's know, but ya might as well not hold your breath....seems no one had a breath of life in em anyway for this concept....Big Dreams...Big Dreams.....wow.....

Peace, Love & Happiness

I believe we can change anything.....I believe...in my dream......

Suzie, it's going good, thanks. I took my kids to see STOMP tonight. What a FANTASTIC show!! Amazingly talented people! My kids and I loved it. There was a fun clap along part at the end where they get the audience revved up. That was fun. The audience actually followed along very well. I'm really glad we didn't have seats upfront though. The dust was wicked. It was a killer, killer show and I highly recommend it! Check out the audio & video clips :)

Hi all. Good weekend?

I read the posts. I have little to add to them.

Band played on Saturday outside. I got very badly sunburnt. Ouchies. The sun was reflecting off the cymbals onto my face and in my eyes. I need a decent hat.

Cool thing: forecast was for rainrainrainrainrain. It poured down all night, and only until early morning did it stop. It totally dried up, and the threatening clouds only came shortly before packing up time. The very second I turned into my driveway the hailstones pelted down. A true miracle! Same happened last Saturday as well. I imagine this Friday night may just be a three-peat.

REMEMBER THE 3-PEAT? I don't.

I rang my Mum up on her birthday and we were talking about my radio announcing. I asked her did I say anything stupid last Monday and she said I'd mentioned something about putting on lots of clothes ... I ramble a bit in the talk breaks.

This is what my Mum does on a Monday night: she sits in front of the TV with a novel, and puts on the radio, turning it up between songs and turning it down again during the songs! Funniest thing ever. Even funnier than the sunburn mark on my face and arms. You can tell where my watch goes, and where my beanie goes down to!

Later all, have a great week. BEN

Did anyone watch The Simpsons tonight? I thought tonight's episode absolutely sucked... There was no plot development to speak of, and the writers blatantly disregarded some of the show's "rules" or other longstanding elements. Bleh...

24strings - You're talking about Day At The Beach (New Rays From An Ancient Sun), right? Joe uses two-handed tapping there...
Noppa - The Dixie Dregs are awesome. I saw them in San Francisco with MegaBoyd back in January of 2003, and they blew me away.

Do you have Steve Morse's Sects, Dregs, & Rock 'n' Roll DVD? I highly recommend it.

climber - Thanks for sharing that...I'll listen to it in a bit.
Stevee T - Sorry, I hope you're not upset / disappointed now... It's just that you're fairly new here, and your idea has actually been brought up several times in the past.

It would be cool to jam with Joe, but not as part of a contest. Maybe it could work as part of the "Fan Fair" idea that I suggested a few weeks ago...but Joe might not even be interested in that, either. ;-)

...Austin...

the bob - if you look at the strings on a guitar and follow them from the nut to the bridge, you'll notice that the strings are further apart at the bridge than they are at the nut...
with "F-spaced" pick-ups have the pole pieces spaced slightly wider apart.. F-spaced pick-ups therefore are to be placed in the bridge position, standard pick-ups are designed to be placed in the neck position

many guitars have standard pick-ups in both neck and bridge positions.. so nothing is really broken... F-spaced pick-ups are supposed to be more efficient...

Wrath [my R470] is fitted with two regular PAF PRO pick-ups... Avarice [Custom Universe] is fitted with an f-spaced and a standard spaced PAF7...to be honest.. they both sound great.... if there is a difference, my ears are not really detecting it.... but then my ears are pretty crap.....

my recommendation:
given the f-spaced and standard pick-ups are the same price... buy an F-spaced one for the bridge and standard spaced one for the neck...

Zen - yup... the situation is complex.... but having grown up as a child in the heart of London in the shadow of the IRA when they were most active, I guess that predjuces my opinion.....

hands up everyone in here that did regular bomb evacuation drills in school from the age of 5 to 11....
I did......

Shredz - it's comoing along very well indeed... I'm very pleased so far...
unfortunately I've not touched it last week and won't this week because I have to work in Éire.....
so the day job is getting in the way a little....
no worries though.... I'll dive right back into it when I return..

optical - thanx bro... that's awesome... and thanx to Randall too...

don't worry, when Shredz is ready I'll be shouting from the rooftops.... lmao..

steveeT - thanx bro.... and keeping the faith too... lol..

when Shredz is complete it'll be a mail order arrangement via the website I'm getting built...

Stevee T, well I dunno about the others, but I'd think what's going through Yngwie's mind is something like "where's the pies gone? I want more pies. I NEED more pies. WHO TOOK MY FUCKING PIES? AARRRGGGHHHHHH!!! (fury)"

Delfino, haha, yeah you got it right, tho as I suspected, I worked it out right after I posted that question! nevermind. I'm now on the level afterwards, where you're playing as Arbiter again, going for the Index. I hated The Library before, and I hate it again. I don't like the covenant missions so much, they're too hard.

I think I'll play it in easy after I complete it so I can get a grasp on the story - at the moment, I'm kinda missing the plot cause i'm too busy fighting off hordes of aliens, or even worse, flood. I would have been quite happy if they'd have left the Flood out of Halo 2.

SupaaDave, look at the JS1000 wiring schematics on the Ibanez site. To put the hi-pass-filter on your RG just requires a push-pull pot. Then just wire it up the same as the JS - it's not a special pot, it's just got a small capacitor or resistor or something soldered across 2 of the connections.
TheBob, it doesn't matter much actually, but since your JS100 has a Floyd Rose design bridge, you might as well go with F-Spaced pickups. F-Spaced means Floyd-Spaced.
Delfino (again), love the "Buckethead" picture! Hilarious!
Punkdude, are you sure about Extreme covering Strutter? I've never seen it anywhere?!

Anthrax used to rock - they kinda fell of my radar screen in the early 1990's. I know they have a new lead singer and still tour (where by me about a year ago at a small bar) but not real interested in them now.

Good morning gunslinger. How was the weekend?

Years ago (Friday December 21 1984 7:30 PM) I saw Anthrax open for Iron Maiden at the Rosemont Horizon (now the corporate bitch called the All State Center) in Illinois. I have never seen such a responsive crowd to a warm up band. In fact half way through the set the lead singer for anthrax was actually upset and screamed "F@#K it next time were headlining".

Edit- Speak Up lad my ears seem to be pluged up.....

962 - I thought that the hi-pass filter was a capacitor soldered across 2 pins of the volume pot.. and I didn't think it needed to be a push - pull.... I think the push pull means that you can choose to use the filter or not...

Avarice does not have a push-pull but does have the hi pass filter fitted [just like the Universe and all the JEMs]

SteveeT - I'll be selling Shredz via my web site once I get it set up..
cuthbert / Yoda - that geezer talks about dinosaurs on Noah's Ark...

sorry... I just want a pint of what he's drinking...

does the bible describe the mass extinctions... like the really bad one which killed of 95% of all life on earth... I think it's called the "Permian Extinction".. I could we'll be wrong, but if memory serves, it occured around 500 million years ago.. it predates the Jurassic by a few hundred million years... [so it's a pre-dinsosaur event..]

sorry bro, but this particular biblical view is not convincing me... however there are many interpretations of the Old Test that are very interesting... even if they may seem a little far fetched..

on the Yes thing... my fave is without doubt Yessongs....
oh yeah... and Going for the One... lol... I forgot about that ojne... and it's really cool... lmao..

mikesb - if I can get there I will... don't forget I'll be doing the day job.. so this is not really a 'fun' trip... as much as I'd love it to be that way..

Zen, I came last March!! Damn expensive at Club Med..
Mr Nick, do not know whose version of the Laxative song you heard, but Donovan (Leitch) recorded and released the original back in 1973 on "Cosmic Wheels"
Guitarmeister, if you like Lizzy's Jailbreak, check out "Black Rose" the tightest and tastiest dual harmonies ever recorded.
Lottsa talk bout Yes and prog lately. I saw a staggering DVD this past weekend. Steve Hackett live in Japan 1996 with Wetton on bass/vocals, Ian MacDonald on every instrument known to mankind but particularly sax and flute (MacDonald is a phenomenal musician) Chester Thompson on skins and some dude named Colbeek (sp?) on keys. They played a loada Genesis and King Crimson tunes as well as some Asia pieces and some nice Hackett solo classical pieces. Hackett was using primarily a black Les Paul with a trem.. Excellent concert, Wetton's voice in fine form and a great job of copying Lake vocals on older Crimson pieces..

Joe, I was at your show in Columbus OHIO, Oct 2004. I had the Platinum Tickets. Backstage/meet & Greet. They cost me $200.00. NJot really worth it due to the fact that we where told we would have our pictures of us with you within 7 to 10 days. WELL, it has been a month and still NOTHING. So once I recieve my pictures, then I will be glad I paid the $200.00. Till then VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Joe......I don't know what your opinion is on bands covering a couple of your songs, but we played "With Jupiter In Mind" and "Is There Love In Space" on Saturday night and the crowd went "Bezerko" !!! I can hardly put into words how fun it is to play your music...let alone listen to it...! If it bothers you that we play your stuff (and we're certainly not getting rich doing it)....just say the word. SD

I received an email from fanfare within 5-6 days of the concert.

They gave me a link to go to get my pictures.

The email was sent to the account I gave when I ordered the Platinum package.

I can send you my link privately if you want - it is listed by date, most likely.
