Stevee, I'm not a happy camper, but I've been to the Pocono's a few times. Don't remember if I was ever at M.C. though.

I'll catch up tomorrow.

Hello to all just dropping by for a quick question to all the Satriani lovers(those that play guitar anyway). What do you think of the Ibanez RG370DX? I've found it in my price range($332.95) and I like the Edge Pro II trem along with the 24 frets, sharktooth inlay, and dual humbucker + single coil pickups. It seems to be a great guitar but I'm having slight trouble finding one to try out here. So if you played the RG series, was it worth the money?

Joeman9,

I believe there are a few RG players on the site, but I'm not one of them....I've got a JS series...extremely happy with it too!

Good Luck!

Joe, you have asked a question, and I would like to give you an answer. You asked:"Is there love in space?" The answer is:"Yes!" Why? Because,in life, wherever you go,there you are.Whether it's in a studio, recording a song,or in the black of space,or on a planet in a galaxy thousands of light-years away, or in the quiet stillness of one's bedroom,as long as you have GOD in your heart, there too, will love be.It's like he's saying;"I'm always with you, if your always with me. And TRUTH,is above all things. The TRUTH of INTEGRITY.

I'm sorry to hear that someone stole your guitar. If I could somehow help,I would say this: What I have learned in life is,where there's a thief, there's also a liar. They go hand in hand. And a clever lie is hidden between two truths.Look with your ears, and your eyes for that lie, between two truths, and you just might find the thief there too.I love miracles, and I know you do too,so I will keep praying that your guitar will be returned to you.

Something else I want to say.The other day I was driving home, and the sun was just beginning to sink over the horizon,so I parked and watched. I had "flying in a blue dream" with me,and I listened to "The Forgotten"parts 1 & 2.The feeling I had was, "INDESCRIBABLE!" And the clouds looked as if the Sun had melted a rainbow, and GOD,who's name is, "YAHWEH",painted the clouds with it.The perfect "sounds"for the "sight!" I am still "stunned"from it. I must say,"The Forgotten"is one of your BEST, because it came from deep within your heart. That's how I feel.

And remember, joe,God SEES ALL,and KNOWS ALL. You need only to ASK him,and he WILL help you. I believe you know this to be true. Thank's again for ALL the "Strange Beautiful Music". It is AWESOME! God Bless, Arroph. ps. I dig "THE PHONE CALL." That song is so cool.

What else does the "ALIEN"do besides,"surfing"? I wonder...Maybe,"Rock-N-Rollin",on a "half-pipe"? Or maybe,"wake-n-with the alien". Who knows... I wonder.........

Indiana Pacers at Detroit (vs Pistons) (NBA basketball) ended up in a fight (players vs players, audience vs Pacers). It must be the labour dispute of NHL...some sports must show fights, right?

...very sad... Fights don't belong in any sports, not even in ice hockey. You're supposed to respect your opponent in sports...it's not a fucking war!

Anybody disagreeing; feel free to keep it to yourself!

Hey Joe,

On December 30th my wife and I will be celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary. We thought, what better way than celebrating with you, in Las Vegas on Dec 29th @ the House of Blues. We went to your last show there on October 13th 2003-G-3. Outstanding!!! A small request... "Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness". We'll be in the Gold Section. You're an inspiration and your music has been with me in good times as well as rough. Thanks.

*********************************************************************************************

*** A poll (open for everybody): ***

What is the most passionate (NOT the loudest, longest, or the highest, but the most passionate) rock/pop -scream ever?

*********************************************************************************************

I'll go for Bon Scott's croak on "Problem child" from AC/DC's live album "If you want blood you've got it" (-78) at 2:26 right after Angus' guitar solo... it's just... it makes my heart jump... tears of joy in my eyes... Notice the mumbling after the croak, that makes it complete!

...then again Prince is on fire on "The Beautiful Ones" from "PURPLE RAIN Prince and the Revolution" (-84 ... Great album in all). This one consists of a series of cawings starting from 3:24 until the end... especially from 4:21... actually the best one would be at 4:29... or at 4:35...

...AAAAAAHHHRRRGHHH !... It's a tie...can't make up my mind.

guitarrocker c1 - Joe is pressing down on the whammy bar with his left hand, playing pinch harmonics with his right hand (where the 24th fret would be), and lifting up on the whammy bar with his left hand.

It works best on the G and B strings.

MegaBoyd - Done and done.
Noppa - ::sigh:: Some people are so stupid. There is absolutely no reason for people to throw stuff at players. The players shouldn't be running up into the stands or throwing punches at fans, either. I think inadequate arena security allowed the fight to escalate, but that doesn't excuse the actions of anyone involved.

I think the players who threw punches at fans should be suspended for the rest of the season. Their union will never let that happen, though... They probably won't be suspended for more than a week or two.

To respond to your poll... The first passionate scream that I thought of also happens to be one of the loudest, longest, and highest... It's Steven Tyler's "Run away, from the PAAAAAAIIIIIIN..." at the end of Janie's Got A Gun from the album Pump. The album version is just average for him, though. I've heard some live versions that are incredible...

If I can come up with some other good ones later, I'll post 'em. I'm too tired to think right now, though... I just mentioned the Aerosmith one because it came to me right away.

...Austin...

NammMan, what do you mean what constitutes a real issue? I said that right there in my post......War is pretty fucking real. And no, western troops don't die every day bringing peace and democracy to the middle east. They die every day bringing terror, starvation and anarchy to the middle east, in the most dishonest war in history.

Trust me, just don't get me started. You know my views on the middle east conflict.

I guess you actually don't get what fox hunting entails? When you guys go hunting, you're exploiting your right to bear arms. You take out a bunch of shotguns and rifles and loads of stuff, play soldiers for a weekend, a shoot a bunch of animals.

When people go fox hunting here, they send a pack of staved blood-hounds out into the fields to chase a fox. For ultimate fun value, they hope that the chase will last all day, and when the terrified fox finally runs out of energy, it is ripped to pieces by the hounds and by the following horse-riders. They then smear the fox's blood over the face of the yongest rider. Kinda like loosing your fox-hunting virginity.

It's barbaric. If people want to hunt with rifles, I don't mind, cause at least it kills the animal instantly, but fox hunting is just plain wrong. I do think it's an issue that should have been addressed 50 years ago or more, but at the same time, it's not as important as healthcare, education and conflict.

Joeman9, is the RGT42 in your price range? That's the RG I use and I find it pretty good. Regardless, i'm sure you'd find the RG370 adequate. It'll give you a lot of scope for changing pickups to create your own tone.

962- agree with you 100% over the fox-hunting issue. Whenever the fact it's barbaric or cruel is mentioned, what gets on my nerves is the way people who are pro-fox hunting say how it's a "humane" method of killing foxes??? And how they are helping to cull foxes- well if they were genuinely doing it for that reason, then why not just shoot the fox quickly or whatever method, rather then dress up in a dumb over-the-top top-hat-and-tails costume? I would respect their views more if they would just admit they foxhunt because they LIKE the pomp and ceremony and they LIKE the occasion- and stop pretending that they are providing a service whereby numbers of foxes can be kept down. Then why only foxes? What about other animals?

Sorry to rant and I know many people won't agree with this, but it's my opinion / 2 pennies worth anyway!

Steven- no luck with Minesweeper yet.... :-( Thanks for the advice!!

“When the night falls, the big moon’s gonna rise. You can look right up, see it in the sky. Makes me feel like I’m going to blow a fuse. I start to shiver and shake with a strange kind of blues.

...but I like it.

I see it now the moon is high above. It’s got a hold on me, I just can’t get enough. Big, round, black and white, I feel the pull, I see the light. Big bad moon’s looking down on me tonight.

...but I like it.

When the moon comes, got nowhere to hide. It can turn your head around like it turns the tide. Man, woman, boy, child. makes you feel like you were born wild. The big bad moon’s looking down on me tonight.

...but I like it. ...i like it.

Talkin’ ’bout big bad moon Ooh yeah big bad moon Talkin’ ’bout big bad moon Ooh yeah...”
