Zenfish,
Sorry your Springboard experience was not a pleasant one.
I'd like to thank France for Claude Debussy, Django Reinhardt, Ravel, Maurice Chevalier, Jacques Brel, Berlioz, Charles Aznavour...the list goes on......Zenfish, now it's your turn to put France on the map again!

“When the night falls, the big moon’s gonna rise.
You can look right up, see it in the sky.
Makes me feel like I’m going to blow a fuse.
I start to shiver and shake with a strange kind of blues.
...but I like it.
I see it now the moon is high above.
It’s got a hold on me, I just can’t get enough.
Big, round, black and white, I feel the pull, I see the light.
Big bad moon’s looking down on me tonight.
...but I like it.
When the moon comes, got nowhere to hide.
It can turn your head around like it turns the tide.
Man, woman, boy, child. makes you feel like you were born wild.
The big bad moon’s looking down on me tonight.
...but I like it.
...i like it.
Talkin’ ’bout big bad moon
Ooh yeah big bad moon
Talkin’ ’bout big bad moon
Ooh yeah...”

evbro- hope your birthday was a good one... I understand about the 22 thing... i was bummed out when i turned 22 too, no more good birthdays.... but i will tell you i had more fun when i was 22 than any other age :)
Not sure if anyone else here listens to Cake but i got their new cd pressure chief and it sucks! whats up with that? got tickets for my favorite local band on the 27th... anyone in the area should come to the Gothic and check out The Films (formerly known as Tinkers Punishment)
Snowing here at the moment and supposed to continue all day and night... kind of fun for the first few times each year...
Well off to go take my dog for a walk and play in the snow, Anyone up for a snowball fight?:) Hope all in Satchland have a good weekend....

Stace - "All.............. Bets.................. Are................. Off....."
lol..
and......
thanx for everything....
thanx more than words can say....
suzie - lol.... ha.. no sarcasm at all girlie.... lol.. I just thought it was amazing that you managed to find the tab... lol..
steveeT - sorry bro... I've not heard of that radio station..
the music on my new album................
all instrumental, mostly pretty heavy with a few softer moments..
mix a metal band with a choir, orchestra and church organ.. and plenty of tasteless shredding on top...
the influencies are wide and varied from Slipknot to Malmsteen, Bach to Wagner.... Mozart to Vai....
I really hope everyone enjoys listening to it as much as I've enjoyed writing and recording it..
so how would I describe it....???? lol..
grab an instrumental [karaoki] Slipknot CD...
play that at the same time as the sound track to the movie "The Oman"..
and then shred over the top with no class, no taste, no style and a complete disregard for your personal safety...
it sounds something like that.... lol..
Dam - who is Don Kirshner???
962 - Pride [my Strat] has a push-pull tone pot for the coil tap... yes it works and is ok... but I'd prefer a toggle switch....
chocoholic - vicar of Dibley country???? I've no idea... lmao..

Stevee T I would get the 1200 or one of the other JS's but unfortunately my pocket doesn't reach that far.=-(
962 actually most of the places I've looked at didn't list the RGT42, but I'm sure I just didn't notice it(tunnel-vision!). yea I've been thinking about upgrading my current guitar, but then with all I'd wanna do it wouldn't be the same guitar. And I couldn't afford it. It's just too bad 7 strings cost so much cuz I'd really want one of those(mind storm, hands in the air...)
Thanks to the both of you.

ocps - the soreness could be down to a number of things:
too much pressure when playing?
playing almost flat out for long periods of time will tire you out.. hands.. tendons.. muscles.... they cannot be used indefinately at their limits.... and if they can't recover before they're used like that again then you'll be back in pain every time you play....
ever thought of mixing up the way you practice????
session 1: technique [learn a song / experiment with licks]
session 2: write / experminent with music [write a song / mess with chords and licks, experiment with a new theoretical idea, screw with effects etc]
session 3: write / experminent with music
session 4: write / experminent with music
as you can see... I personally prefer to spend more time working the creative / experimental elements...
I work on technique just to cope with my own music...
if you want to be more technique centric.. make session 3 a technique one.... so you alternate.....
this way you have heal, rest and repair and still work on your music...
slansh - thanks bro... I'll keep and eye on the post...

Clarky,
There are two major Satellite Radio stations to the best of my knowledge & they share the same satellite. XM & Sirius...have you ever heard of Opie & Anthony, or Howard Stern...they're Rude Radio Talkshow host's over here, and they broadcast over these 2 Satellite Radio stations.
Anyway, Stern just signed with Sirius Satellite Radio, cause he's too vile for public radio...so he's going to a pay radio station Sirius.
Both of these Satellite Stations must have about 200 multiple genre's...several of which are for NEW UNSIGNED TALENT.
The Company I work for has been working with them for about a year, and I've spoken with people on the inside about UNSIGNED ARTIST'S like many of us here.
They said they DO....play unsigned artists....just thought I'd offer you some info to aid in your cause.
When I was there last week, I brought my new CD to hand to them...they will screen it, and if it's good enough they will contact me to discuss an arrangement so it can be put into rotation in the appropriate Genre'.
If you'd like anymore info, I'd be happy to offer it to you...but they're on the web if you want to do some research of your own...you've put in the time with you music...now you gotta get it heard.
Sounds like your music will definitely make it there based on what I've heard....congrats & keep up the GREAT work!
Respectfully,
Stevee T.

HAppy belated evbro!
Jazzzy I made it inside thanx. Some dudes brother backed out and dude was selling the tic for $20 I gave him $30. I was in the second row in the front getting squished. The show was pretty cool beside that. I was drentched in white dude sweat and head banging head juice. I met Dave for the first time. YEAH! I had him sign a CTE cover for me. I told him about my ferrert named Mustaine, he thought it was funny. He also gave me a pick. It was cool 'cause when I left, I got half way down the block, he yelled my name and said thanx again. It's cool he remembered my name for about 20 minuites. I forget peoples names as soon as they say them sometimes.

Noppa - Okay, I thought of a few other songs. Some Robert Plant ones were already named, though, so that leaves me with one song.
Dave Matthews Band - Halloween
Dave wrote the song in 1992 about an old girlfriend...he asked her to marry him three times and she said no three times. You can hear the pain / anger / love / hate in his voice as he screams throughout the song.
I'm thinking of this one version in particular...it's from 1993 or 1994. Dave is strumming his guitar like crazy as he's screaming the lyrics... He's playing so hard that the guitar goes out of tune, but he's still screaming over the music. So the music and the lyrics aren't "together" at this point, but it sounds so awesome...
If anyone is interested in hearing this version of the song, let me know. I'll dig through my concerts from that time period, find the correct date, and then give you a link so you can download it...
Stevee T - If it's your picture, you don't need Joe's permission to use it.
...Austin...

962 My xbox night went well...the majority was spent playing Halo 2 on team deathmatch...
Theres nothing more satisfying than getting like 10 head shots in a row with a sniper rifle and hear the other team say "Arg, where the fuck is he?!" lol....
It got really competitive, and it ended up that my team (3vs3) won nearly all the matches, excluding 2 or 3 rounds of deathmatch.
It rocked ass though...
