"What I Meant Was...Can Anyone Gimme Any Good Ideas/Tips On How To Increase Finger Speed "

I found that learning how to alternate pick and getting used to it on the whole made my picking/finger speed increase. If your finding your picking hand picking faster than your fretting hand can handle, start off slow and slowly build up your speed making sure every note is coming out clean, if its not coming out clean then slow down a bit and keep at it.

You'll get it I'm sure. Petrucci recommends a metronome for increasing speed, its worth a try downloading a free metronome from Download.com

Hope that helps man.

Steven- that is bad luck! Still, maybe it all worked out for the best if your new place is better? Hope you're well. Tjhe cold is getting better, thankyou very much for asking though!!

I LOVED Spiderman 2 by the way! I also just watched the new Harry Potter film, and thought it was definitely the best of the three- Gary Oldman was great.

Who do you guys think should play the next James Bond by the way?

I say Tom Cruise, (even though he's not British...?)

Nass: As climber said, its Los Lonely Boys. Great song. Glad you like it!

962, Clarky, Michelle, Alexandre and whoever like prog rock, go to this website and download the song by Opeth called Windowpane. Opeth is one of my fave bands. They are a pretty heavy band from Sweden but they released a soft album thats one of the greatest things ever recorded. Download WIndowpane here. windowpane

steeve t: I use Stanton DJ - PRO 2000 headphones and Altec Lansing speakers. They're both pretty good quality.

suzie2000: I think Dave Chapelle would make the perfect James Bond!

speaking of james bond, one of my good friend James, has been re-christened to james bong for all the obvious reasons >:)

JS 100's are nice guitars. They have a pretty good satch tone, but doesnt compare to the 1000. I'd say save some more cash and buy the 1000.

962: Thanks Simon, I'm ok. Always best to have things checked out if it's not working the ways it supposed to. ;-) I'm glad you liked my email. hehe! I've been listening to KWS getting ready for the show Tues and I really prefer Noahs voice. However there's a few tunes on the new CD that KWS voice fits nicely. I'm liking the new stuff more now than the initial listen. My bday is Tues 11/30. Hey, I love Red Square! Fine job Simon. Very nice tune. Awesome! Time boogie doesn't have the same clarity/balance but you will work that out. I am very impressed. ;-)))

Michelle: Happy 2000!! Woohoooo! Keep making me smile with your great posts. I was pissing my pants when you said to Clarky: Shhhh! You're ignoring yourself remember? OMG! LMAO! You and Clarky made my night!! I'll shoot an email to you later, probably tomorrow. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. ;-))

Clarky: Glad things are coming along with The Beheading of John the Baptist. That's something how that tricky lick just fell into place like that, slow mo....wow. It sounds extremely difficult to play, i'm sure it will be incredibly beautiful. I can't wait to hear it. You had me ROTFLMAO with your mate Lee and his brother Dean! You must've been hysterical when they were doing that! Do they smoke pot? Just a thought. hehe! "I'm going to phone me up and ignore me" you are just too funny Clarky! LMAO! I have to wait to get a guitar. All my money has been going towards my photos. I shot 10 rolls at the 2 EWJS shows. It gets costly along with the 8x10's that I have made up to get signed. I end up giving them to friends. That's ok. It brings me great joy! In the spring I hope to get a guitar and start playing. I would love to be able to jam with you someday. You are the Ubershredder! ;-)))

Got to run to my sister's house for dinner. I'll talk to yah later.

Mari

Screwballphil- you don't need to spend £600 on a JS100, you can get one from for £509 in the |Flying Pig ( in Hanwell,) and have seen it cheaper than that elsewhere...

I'd go for the Ibanez. Gibson's are too heavy.

Hi Joe Satriani

I am an amateur instrumental guitarist I live in Australia

I believe you have a pop sensibility as well is able to express yourself on guitar

I was wondering if you could share any advice on creating pop rock instrumental guitar pieces

I would like one day for my music to go to the American Top Forty in the 20s. I have a lot of work to do.

Thank you for your precious time Solomon

Hey guys: I have a question about a whammy pedal. I am interested in the Digitech wh1 reissue whammy. Does Joe use the original or the reissue? I have been checking out reviews for about a week. I am very confused. The whammy original wh1 is now called the wh1 reissue, or In correct terms is that the whammy 4? The reviews are all 10s on the wh1 reissue. When I check out the reviews for the whammy 4 the reviews are all bad. I saw Joe in OCT. and when he did the song "Searching" he used the pedal. I would like to buy the pedal as close to what Joe uses. Thank you very much. I hope you can help because the money is burning a hole in my pocket!!!!
