Why the fillmore? T_T;; I like the Warfield better. Too small IMO and trying to hold a younger sibling on one's shoulders for hours gets to be tiring @_@ I don't see any other shows playing on that day on bgm's site for the warfield...any reasons? Better for recording? Atmosphere preferred?

Hi everyone...I'm back. ;-) I had a nice (and longer than expected) Thanksgiving break...it was cool. I have two more weeks of classes and then a week of finals...this semester is almost over. Woohoo!
A few random things:
- I'll be getting a new car next month... I took a few test drives over the weekend, and I've decided to get a Mazda...either a Mazda3 or a Mazda6. Does anyone here have either of those cars? Just wondering...
- My youngest brother bought GTA: San Andreas last week. THe game is so bad, but it is SO much fun...LOL.
- If you guys want me to put together a T2J member page, you need to send me photos. I only have a few... Email your name, location, website links, photos, and etc. to me here.

I had over 20 pages to read through today...if someone asked me a question and I missed it, let me know...
First, welcome to all of the newbies...
VFRrocker - Welcome back. :-)
klytus - Joe wears Oakley Eye Jackets.
Spaceresearcher - It's the preparation of a tour (the costs of shipping gear, etc.), not a lack of international appeal, that keeps Joe away from Australia. He will be down under in March, though.
bc1401 - Joe wanted to move in a different musical direction, and Stu wanted to spend more time with his family.
DelfinoPie - You had an interview? Congrats! :-)
bahduh - I haven't forgotten about you. I have some homework to catch up on tonight and tomorrow, but I'll email you this week.
muzic4me5150 - Joe uses the orginal (WH1) DigiTech whammy pedal.
Mavvok - Joe is not currently teaching...
TJBarry - Cool...I'll also be at the SF show. Keep in touch...maybe we can meet up.
SPS - Joe will have Jeff, Matt, and Galen with him in Australia.
miiiiiikey - Cool...thanks for the Steve Vai info. :-)
...Austin...

Well, phooey. The Dec 26th is now at the Fillmore instead of the Warfield. I made hotel reservations at a place within walking distance from the Warfield on purpose so I wouldn't have to navigate San Fran traffic!! Oh well, Joe is worth it most definitely, wherever he plays. I wonder if that means they might open up the second night, on the 27th, at the Warfield....................we can dream!

Bahduh: sorry to be so late in reply, but the test has now finished, somewhat more hastily than I had expected. New Zealand without Daniel Vettori wouldn't have had a chance at all. As it was they had little chance. I noticed Ntini had Sehwag out not long ago. How is that series going for India?
On Joe coming to Australia, it's still not going to be easy for me to get to a show. I might be able to get to the Melbourne one, and being a Friday night it's a better chance than I had for the Steve Vai one this year (which was on a Sunday night). Being a student, I can't make myself unavailable from work. The Melbourne show is exactly one week before the Easter break, which is a pity for me, but probably deliberate by Joe so that he can spend Easter with his family.

Austin,
If you get a Mazda 3 or 6 I recommend getting one with a manual transmission unless you don't know how to drive it. I've heard in the past that the Mazda 6's in particular tend to lack some low-end torque. Are you getting the 2.3L or the 3.0L? I've never driven one though so I'm not entirely familiar. I will tell you overall I've been pleased with my Subaru WRX. Anyway, just my .02

Austin: well, my personal opinion about Mazdas is that they and Nissans are crap unless you buy a performance vehicle. I like to refer to Mazdas as "Mazda Baits" but there is really no substance to my opinions here.
Cheese101: bummer! Is it at all possible you can change your reservation?
Later all, I'm supposed to design a poster this afternoon but T2J got my attention first.

Artanis 1, Ben: Thanks for the sympathy!! I could probably try to change the reservation but to cancel would cost at this point, and I'm not sure I can find anything at this late date, so shall have to deal with driving and parking, or taking a taxi...wonder if the cab companies run really late at night, after the concert and meet and greet........anybody know? Sigh, just when I thought I had everything under control!!

Hey Joe,
I recently discovered that you will be coming to Austrlia next year and have plans to come to Brisbane. Awsome, I thought, only 1 hour away from me. that was until I saw where you were scheduled to play, "The Arena". Now the Arena is a great venue, Steve Vai Played in it around July. See Joe, the problem is that The Arena is an Adults Only Venue because it sells Alchohol. Now I am just as bigger fan of your music as any person but the problem is i'm 14 years old. Please reconsider, maybe see if you can play at the Riverside? It would be the best if you could, but if it is too late to change the venue, make sure you come back here in June 2008. Thanks Joe.

Just catchin' up..............
Slanshroom Thanks for the link bro' I look forward to listening to your stuff.I'll let you know when I have :-)
Michelle Sorry, but your husband is right.............. White Lion were a great band (in the end) around Mane Attraction time, Vito Bratta was an awesome guitarist, Mike (whatever his name is, Freak of Nature dude) had a great voice and the production was great quality. I can see where your coming from as well though, lyrically there was some heavy duty cheese in there - lol ;-)
Back later................
EDIT (Later)...........
Slanshroom Okay man, I've got the entire 'back catalogue' d/l on the hard drive and it's going to CD for the
journey home from work :-)
Austin / 962 Thanks guys, it's good to be back, albeit intermittently.

SteeveT - when the album is complete, I will be posting some 20 second long sound bites.. but nothing more...
one of the tracks from the album is on my IUMA site - although it is a demo version..
the track is called The Rape of the Sabine Women
optical - thanx bro....
"got together with Pat Metheny"???... who's he??? lmao...
ptfields - although I've never played one myself, a pal of mine plays Fernandes guitars... they look to be pretty nice to me..
I don't know the name / model numbers etc.. but they are typical "long horn" super Strats.. not unlike the Ibanez RG series...
he tells me that they're very nice to play too...
but the real decision is yours... play them both.. find out what they sound like and feel like tro play and look over the build quality... then make your mind up based upon your judgement and not the writing on the headstock..
my fave Satch album is Extremist.. mainly because of the track War..
I strongly believe that War is Statch's finest hour..
Yoda - happy wun fazunf....
Michelle - happy wun zillyunf..
