MICHELLE,

Ryan Meals said he remembered you from Philly, boy do we live in a small world huh.

MATT KING,

I gave Ryan your contact info. We had some ideas about seeing if you would want to play up here sometime, have a big jam. We know tons of places to play. Maybe we could do the same down there in NJ. We should talk about that sometime. I have a show tonight at 9:30, playing for 3 hours and I have tendonitis in my wrist. Lovely! After this show im not to play for 3 weeks. That really sux.....

www.guitarnett.com New full sound clip is up, just wrote it recently.

pp0, sorry for disturbing...;-), just to say that it would be cool a G3 with Eddie Van Halen. They came close in the summer of 2003 to doing an Eddie Van Halen and Jeff Beck G3!!!!!! But in the end came to nothing.

MasterYoda: Are we talking full on bebop, or just jazz playing in general? Because yes, bebop is very hard to master how to solo over it(I'm still not there yet) but every other form of jazz is pretty easy to break down. Let me know what you're having trouble with, and maybe I can point you in the right direction.

LucySorets-

It would be an awesome G3 with Jeff Beck or Eddie. They're both great technical guitarists, and both have great feel.

All-

I was wonderin' what you guys think of Yngwie Malmsteen? Personally I think he's amazing. ( I'll get a lot of stick about this!!!-) He even rivals Vai ! But Satch is still the king!!!!!!!!!!

P.S- Thanks for the great feedback on Satch's most favoured album.

Andy Timmons is ok - haven't listened to much of his stuff though.

Is he from Indiana? If so, I did not know that.

Van Halen - EVH

What is going on with them now? I heard that at the end of their tour (few days ago) EVH slammed and broke one of his guitars on stage (he does not do that) and for a bit seemed real pissed.

Sammy is unsure what is going on next and said that his Cabo Wabo is a point of contention.

Apparently - on the VAn Halen News Desk site - Eddie was thinking of doing a solo record . .

- from that site - Before the "continuation" with Sammy & the 2004 tour, VH was planning on releasing a box set. We don't know if it was planned to be another rehashing of the same familiar tunes, or if it was expected be loaded with rare gems. The project may not have even been that developed before it was shelved in favor of the tour. It is also reported that Eddie was planning on doing a solo album but this too was put on hold when the tour was realized. So, we assume that whenever VH decides to stop touring & recording, a box set is almost a certainty at some point. We were also told that the band was thinking of making new music after the tour.

For A Man His Size...Throwing The Guitar Around His Body Comes Pretty Easlily To Him. (G3.2003-He Cant Stop Doing It). Anyhow...This Is Just My Views On YJM. Gifted...But A Serious Waste Of Talent. Anyone Agree With Me?

GUITARROCKER,

Its not thats hard to do once you find the "sweet spot" on the neck. You pick a harmonic(sometimes multiple) in the area around your neck pickup. It all depends on the guitar too, but its in that general area, between the last fret and the bridge. Its a pinch harmonic that you pick at the same time use your whammy to raise or lower the pitch. Theres other ways you can do it, but they all involve harmonics. Plug in and turn the gain on so its easy to hear. Play the open strings one at a time at first, about where the neck pickup is but dont just pick it, you have to angle the pick and choke up on the pick. Just kinda play around with it, youll eventually find the sweet spot. Then its just a matter of practicing it alot, and beeing able to do it quickly without any hesitation.
