joe, i want to thank you for giving us, argentinians, such an amazing show even though, as i read, you weren't in one of your best days... i really hope you stick to your promise of coming back here again (please do so!!), but next time, would you come to our side of the stage a bit?? i could barely see you on the other end of the stage and since i'm a girl and i was surrounded by guys, i found it even more difficult to do so!! anyway, i think your music is the best, i coulnte believe you were that close to us. thank you again joe, i'm still dreaming about that shiny head of yourse!!!!!!!!

Michelle Good idea about the memorial fund, I've got my sister (who works as a reviewer for a website) to put the link on one of the pages...hopefully it gets noticed.
Its terrible that this should happen, but its made even worse by the fact that Christmas is a time when families are together and many will be missing members who were lost for no reason.
I just helped my sister review "Somebody Told Me" by the Killers...well when I say 'helped' I mean I did it for her because she was too lazy. Anyway I was pretty harsh but the way I see it is that the song is one of those songs that you'll get bored of easily because its being over-played and because it lacks anything special, thus going in one ear and out the proverbial other.
Maybe I was too harsh....Nah.

Phil Anselmo has issued a one line statement for Dimebag.
http://www.smnnews.com/
Bandmembers spent Wednesday night on their bus, then went back to Texas where they're based. "Vinnie crashed in Dime's bunk and was crying," Barnes said.

Jazzzzy- Hey, You will Make it! Don't worry! I do belive You have done great work! You put Work, and Life, before Partying. That say's a great deal! Life is werid now I think for A lot of Folk's! Espeacialy all the un-cool thing's happening. But there is much to be thankful for! Dwell on these, and The God of Peace will be upoun You! BTW How is the Freddy Mercury project going? That's quite A task! Would Love to hear it! I will have some new tunes hopefully soon! Been working hard at them!...........................DELFINO- Yeah! How sweet! Taking Music is the way to go! Also The games! incorprate the two. Just think, Not only will You be making the games, But writing the soundtracks! Have You alway's had Your eye on the computer programing genre? I have some way cool pic's of My guitars and of Me and Randell jamming away! I will put them up as soon as I can!.......................ZENFISH- There You are! Cool! I am thrilled to here about the band update! Wow! Yes that lumberjack is quite some work! All those cord's of wood and the chainsaw's! And being with nature! I bet You get a lot of song ideas!...And I think thats great the other band mates have convinced You that Your singing has A Place :-)) As many singers have said, You do take a liking to it! espeacilay after some good reviews and thumbs up from the band!...Your name is Fred?...Great!..........................Stevee T- Thank's bro' I was just on My digital distribution from I tunes and Raphsody record's, Itt's so awesome being able to sell single song's and streamer's! If I get going enough(doubt it) But Derek Sivers sell's credit card sweeper's for 20 buck's, and You can sell Your CD's right from Your Home!..Maybe I told You that already? Anyway, It's pretty Fun! Maybe You will end up being on there "best selling" page! Wouldn't that be Awesome! It can happen! BTW What I didn't tell You was that every so often Derek will have a complimation CD out with All the artist's that sell the most album's in Say A month's time< and it will distributed to all the major label's and network offical's! 2 More thumb's up! Well, I am gabbing...But I do wish You the best! And Your website look's very nice! I Love red! Check out My guitars!LMAO! Best of Luck!...................Suzie Hi!

optical - bro... I got your mails... I'll see what I can sort out...
slansh - lol... something like that... lol... working with David Cross is never easy, sometimes painful, sometimes mind blowing and highly rewarding... and most often very challenging to my playing... which is always good for me as a player
Greg M - the album with Nurse Insane on it is called The Big Picture... that was released just before I joined the band... although I didn't appear on the album, I did tour it... Nurse Insane was always the opening song...
My fave track on that album is Black Ice....
that album has no guitarist on it at all... but the riffs were crying out for one... so with me riffing alone to it all live it had much more power and energy...
SteeveT - yes I like having totaly control over my music too...
however, never overlook the impact a band can have in the creative process....
from time to time you'll be pleasntly surprised at the outcome..

Hi to all. I've been out of the loop for a while now so can any one one tell me if we can expect a G3 tour in Austraila or have I missed it? If so who played or who would play Down Under? Cause the way I see it, it don't matter anyway, I could die any time after March and I'd die a happy man cause I got my tickets for Joe's Sydney show.

OME: When I over do it with bends I get small splits along my finger tips...the best thing to do is get a pocket knife and cut off the excess dead skin that the string slit, so that it won't get ripped further, then keep playing (no bends though) to retoughen the finger tip. That seems to work great.
DCK: I checked out revolution is my name. very cool guitar playing. Sounds like erally metalic with Rhodes/Satch soloing.

Delfino, say thanks to your sis.
Jazzy, I read most of the condolences on the SMN site. Sad, sad shit. I think Hank Williams III put it the best when he said this about the shooter - "May you burn in the hottest corners of hell, you pistol-packin' pussyfuck..." As for the Damageplan cd, so far my fav song is the song right before Reborn ~ F*** Y**. Nothing gets me in a better mood then a good F.U. song, and brother, that's a good one! Kickin' lyrics too :)
Seems like every title on that cd ties in to what happened somehow. Life, death, and afterlife.

Message posted by Dave Mustaine on his website:
Droogies!
Tonight I had the honor and priveledge to host a special tribute to the life of Darrel “Dimebag” Abbott.
I went out to NYC Thursday at 9:30 PM on a redeye to do this, and during the period since then, I have had a good amount of time to reflect on my own life.
I realized how fortunate I am, and have been to have met some of you, and in some cases become friends with many of you.
What is bothering me is the people who I have not been able to meet, or worse, have met and ended up not being friends with. There are many.
I would like to, in honor of Darrel's life, learn from him and how many friends he apparently had made.
Over my career I have a lot of cleaning up to do on my side of the street as well as letting things go, for once and for all; I need to apologize to many people and also to forgive and quit holding grudges.
Having said that, if there is something I did to you or someone you know, please give me the opportunity to make this right.
To Slayer and Metallica: I am sorry for whatever I may have done in the past and wish to make it right, to put it behind us. Please let me know how and when we can talk this out.
To previous bandmembers and managers: I say the same to you.
To all the Megadeth/Metallica fans: from this day forward, there will never be another unkind word from my mouth perpetuating this silly 22 year old feud.
And to heavy metal fans around the world: I am going to emulate Dimebag by being more like him; more friendly, and more interested in your lives too, I promise.
I am grateful to have been asked to come in this hour of darkness to represent us all as we come together and heal as a worldwide music community, and I would be a fraud if I didn't say I need to do more to better “represent.”
Thank you in advance for your forgiveness and for your support,
Dave Mustaine

Zinc Master, haha, that was really funny! First try I failed, but I managed to do it the second time, but it was tricky!
Opticalstudio, thanks man, I wonder if he will check the link! I read the thing about his car accident, it's pretty badass. It's great that he's still so enthusiastic about working though, despite his freilty! Cool guy. Hope you had a good weekend bro!
haha, I just went looking through vai.com, at Steve's journals, and realised I haven't read the Vai News for months! The new album sounds like it's going to be pretty cool. And the photoshoot pictures ar really funny.....Steve's goin all 'lord of the rings' on us! haha
Also, I don't know whether to go for the show in Paris that he's playing with Sharon Isbin? Anyone got any suggestions? One part of me says "yeah go for it, it'll never be repeated" and the other part says "it means going to Paris.....what if I then find out there an Aching Hunger part II in Holland and I can't afford to go?".
Anwers on a postcard please!
jazzzzy, yeah man, where is TASTEY?

Optical Studio I've been into game design for years, however not the programming side, my brain is advanced enough to tackle that stuff :-)...I'm into the 3D design stuff, the 3D modelling and the animation of characters and particle systems and stuff lol.
Although I recently watched "the making of halo 2" dvd from my special edition version of the game and it was very inspirational...
Hopefully I can get some music in there too :-)
Looking forward to the pictures...
Al Hehe lizards on the guitar now, I need to touch it up a bit now though...I'll get a picture today for ya'
Jazzzzzzzy I think I remember seeing a KISS coffin in Gene's house when it was on Cribs aaages ago. It looked sweet, it was the highlight of what looked like a KISS memorabilia room.
