Hello, Satcland! ...been busy, so just checked the latest posts (1 hour)
Zinc Master: "How Smart is Your Right Foot?
This is so funny that it will boggle your mind. And you will keep trying at least 50 more times to see if you can outsmart your foot, but ! you can't.
1. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.
2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction.
I told you so ......And there's nothing you can do about it!"
Well... I'm a drummer, so I did beat my right foot... but it wasn't a piece of cake though ;-)
We're in a middle of a hockey tournament with my older son. Eating and having a rest between the games in my friends bar at the local ice hockey hall. Two goals in the 1st game...that's my boy!
Just wanted to tell you guys about my latest new music (all of them released this year):
Iommi; "Dep Sessions, 1996 with Glen Hughes" (or something like that): Pretty traditional rock... but mr. Iommi is like no one else with his riffs, rhythming and fingerings... and mr Hughes really is a hell of a singer besides a bass player! -> Excellent!
(Pat)Travers &(Carmine) Appice; "It Takes A Lot Of Balls" (or something like that): Again pretty traditional hard rock...but there's one funky-groovy tune and one reggaeish... mr. Travers is quite straight rock 'n' roll guy, nothing extremely fancy... but there are good riffs and rhythming... mr. C Appice is a very good drummer in my books... oh, and one nice additional musician: a bass player called TM Stevens (or something like that); he sings on that tune #5, too... and the way he sings! -> Excellent!
Motörhead; "Inferno": ...well, mr. Kilmister (Lemmy) is a hard rock icon and he'll probably keep he's line all the way to the grave... Mr. Steve Vai makes an excellent visit to this album, leaving his own signature on it, but still fitting it nicely to Motörhead style (he plays on tune #1 and on the end solo of tune #6)!!!... and there are some really cool rhythm guitar parts on other tunes, too -> Excellent!
Go check 'em out! We're gonna go and play some hockey!
P.S. Austin: I'll get back to you about Dave Mathews Band...still need that time gap to write down my thoughts about those tunes...

Zinc Master- there is a way that you arent thinking of to "outsmart" your foot... i got it on the second time... i used to date a guy that when writing he wrote all of his letters the opposite way others would.... so to do this just start at the point where you would normally end, where the loop meets the base, then you are following the same clockwise circle and then finish the top base part :) i know this is not the intended part of the trick though... lol...
hope all in satchland have a wonderful weekend... warmest wishes to all....

Alexandre,
http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?style=music&PID=6292632&cart=218973092
It's called "The Best Of Pantera: Far Beyond The Great Southern Cowboys' Vulgar Hits!" It has 12 videos on the DVD. Great stuff my friend :)
DCK, I'm not sure what I said that made you feel better, but I'm glad it did.
Brother al, I just went through almost 500 posts yesterday. lol! Welcome back :)
I'm finally listening to Merry Axemas for the first time this season. Joe is rippin' up Silent Night. Every time I listen to Jeff Beck's Amazing Grace I cry. Every single time. Instant tears within the first few notes. That version reaches so far down in my soul...
Jazzy, I'll have to check out "Reborn". I have the cd in the car. As for Jesus, I'd say Chili's, but I wouldn't count out Hooters.
Mick, you have it backwards! I asked Santa for a keg of whiskey that plays a song about Guiness in a jar and Rudolf the red nosed drunken Irish reindeer. It's more fun that way ;-)
Noppa, congrats to your son!

That friend of yours did have a very unusual writing style - would really freak out those who determine your personality by looking at your writing.

Jazzzzzzzy,
Applebee's to close to Adam & Eve & the bite that would go down in infamy.
Maybe, Jesus would choose a Winery in Nappa Valley...little wine....little cheese...little Sun!
In these days....a little prayer wouldn't hurt either!

Hi GREAT Satch !! ;o)
I'm Antonello - your new italian fans !!
ECHO (from Surfing with the Alien) is my favourite song. I feel the theme very 'impressive' and the solo, in details the bending-likcs, VERY VERY *intense* !!
Thank you
Antonello

I don't know if anything has ever been said before, and I haven't heard any news for this year, but I think Joe should record a rockin' Christmas album for 2005. His Silent Night/Holy Night Jam was incredible. I'd like to hear all of his techniques played out in those familiar tunes like he did with "Sleep Walk" on SBM. It would be awesome.
