I have read there is a double CD about a G4, in which Joe played with Steve Vai, Brian May and Nuno Bettencourt, but they say it is sold only in the Asian market. Does anybody know if these CD's are really on the market or if it is just a bootleg or someone's recording... ?

Thanks and ciao to everybody!!

Cutandrunbert 2004

"So the job of the coalition forces is to kill people (who may be innocent) without benefit of trial, and with questionable intel? Nazi's followed similar orders in WW II; that defense did not avail them at Nuremburg. You have heard that what is good for the goose is good for the gander. Slaughtering innocents is slaughtering innocents, no matter who does it. "

No the Job of the coalition forces is to stop Saddams killing, rape and torture. To promote freedom and expression through the guarantee of a fair election process and to train security and police forces.

" Why should the US be the enforcer (yes, others are with us but we led the charge) of UN decisions that the UN itself deems not violated to a point worthy of action?"

We are the leaders of the free world. That is the way it has been that is the way it will continue to be. Freedom is freedom. I for one believe it is a right of the Iraqi people to enjoy it as much as we do. I still feel sorry for the poor students that begged for our help in Tiananmen Square. Sometimes the Americans need to step in and stop atrocities just like auswitz and duchow. Saddam is the criminal here, and we prevented him from becoming the power that he wanted to be. In other words we acted while we could minimize the risks.

Let me use an analogy, if a sexual offender moved next door to you and was talking through the fence to your children, would you worry about offending him or the neighbors, or would your first concern be to protect your family? If you asked him not to interact with your family and he defies your request, would you take the issue to a new level? George W. is like a big dad, he is just looking out for us. He is not assuming that our neighbors will do anything more than grieve for our losses. There is no conspiracy here, just a love for the American people and the quality of life that we have. Protecting oneself and ones family is the moral thing to do. There has not been another attack on our soil since 911; he must be doing something right. (Looks like our neighbor decided to move).

I don't understand why you can't give credit where credit is due. Our previous administration did nothing to protect us while Al Qaeda built it self up and trained pilots in America. Who cares if I have to carry a state Id if it helps to protect my family? I don't give a shit if President Bush himself listens in on my phone calls, I have nothing to hide. The rights of the people that have something to hide do not out weigh the needs for us all to be safe. Once again we were attacked just nine months into George W's first term. We are doing all we can to prevent further attacks and protect our liberties. The government is not trying to take away anything from you. The Lou Rockwell site that you refer to all the time is a bunch of liberal propaganda with just a different label to disguise it! Aids is an epidemic, so you watch where you stick you dick. Terrorism is an epidemic but we shouldn't be just as cautious? Both can kill you.

In closing, set the sail and stay the course. It was the right thing to do and you should trust the people in our government. They are the most trustworthy that we have had there in a long time.

Dear Joe Satriani, My name is Duncan, I'm almost 16 and perhaps one of your biggest fans of my city in Canada. I've been playing guitar for five years, but to tell the truth, only with true goals and practicing every day for the past two years. I've read in some of your interviews that there was this one particular song by the great Jimmi Hendrix that inspired you to play guitar, and I can say that i've experienced much the same phenomenon. It was just over a year ago now that on my way to my city's "rock camp" concert, I put on a CD given to me by my uncle from Ontario, aptly titled Surfing with the Alien, and i played the title track. From that moment on, I was inspired, and continue to be even now, having just purchased the Satch Tapes, and your JS2000 guitar, after a solid year of working and saving. I often frequent the touring section of your website, crossing my fingers that a Canadian show might appear, but often to my dismay, it's nonexistant. I've noticed that you tour to most every state in the US, but you have fans slightly north of border as well, and was wondering if you could someday make an appearance in Quebec, which is often as close as real concerts get to New Brunswick, that i might someday see the Virtuoso that is Joe Satriani, and haev one of my dreams fulfilled Sincerely, Duncan

Smelling Citrus Oils Prevents Asthma in Rats

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - A key ingredient in the aroma from citrus fruits such as oranges and lemons appears to protect rats from the symptoms of asthma, new research shows.

Study author Dr. Ehud Keinan explained that the citrus ingredient is called limonene, and it likely protects against asthma by "burning" inhaled ozone, which can increase inflammation in the lungs.

Other scents - such as those emitted from pine trees, geraniums and roses - contain similar ingredients to limonene, Keinan said, which may help explain why asthma is much more common in urban areas that lack vegetation.

"In rural populations, people are very much exposed to these compounds," he said.

The researcher, who is based at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in Israel, told Reuters Health that squeezing an orange peel releases liquid that contains a high concentration of limonene. He said he has heard stories of people who say they experienced relief from asthma and other lung diseases after spending time around limonene.

He added that he and his colleagues, who report their current findings in the journal Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, are currently investigating how limonene and similar substances may help alleviate asthma in humans.

A growing body of research suggests that ozone, which is a key component of air pollution, can encourage changes in the body that result in persistent inflammation in the airways.

Limonene helps rid the body of ozone because it reacts with ozone, muting its toxic effects, Keinan explained.

To investigate whether limonene could protect lungs from asthma, Keinan and his team induced the symptoms of asthma in rats, them let them smell limonene or eucalyptol, the key ingredient in the odor of eucalyptus, which does not react with ozone.

The researchers checked the rats for asthma symptoms repeatedly over a period of 20 hours to five days. They found that only rats exposed to limonene "didn't show any symptoms of the disease," Keinan said.

These results suggest that inhaling limonene may protect people from developing asthma, or alleviate symptoms in those already diagnosed, he noted.

steeveT - in the piece The Beheading of John the Baprtist, the 2nd movement depicts a conversation between King Herod and Salome...
I worked out the conversation first, and then worked out the melodies based upon the position of the syllables of each word...
kind of like writing a song first, taking the singers away and replacing them with two guitars....
there is a sort of chorus section in which Salome sings -
"Bring me the head of the Baptist"

mari - no probz girlie... we got to look after opur own...
cuth - yup... looks like I skipped over a post or two... lol...

off-stage, Robert reminds me of a school teacher... lol...

I know a little about Robert... but nothing compared to the hard-core KC fans....

slansh - I should do ok.... I don't like to learn the Cross set too early or play it too many times... in case it becomes jaded...
I like to keep it all 'fresh' sounding..

Signs a Drug Should Be Recalled

It seems to cause your middle finger to remain erect for hours while you do your holiday shopping.

Rather than a warning about four-hour boners, this ED drug warns about four-INCH boners.

Unexplained hair growth -- on the pills themselves.

Heading up the recall campaign committee: Keith Richards and Iggy Pop.

You heart beats so fast it bursts out of your chest and finishes your morning jog before you do.

Although the drug has curbed your suicidal tendencies, genocide is suddenly gaining appeal.

Your stools are looser than a Quaaluded Madonna at a USO show.

The directions specify quite adamantly that you *must* operate heavy machinery while using it.

The only reason the FDA approved it was because Huey Lewis demanded it.

Side effects may include dizziness and vomiting. Then again, those could be due to your new Clay Aiken CD.

"Klingon face" is a common side effect of St. John's Worf.

Prolonged erections, while admittedly great, should NOT be a side-effect of a menopause-relief pill.

The experimental mice have begun building tiny wooden body carts and circulating through the cages collecting bodies.

Your new nickname: SpongeBob SquishPants

Sure, your genital warts are gone -- but unfortunately, so are your genitals.

It helped you hit 70 homers, but also makes you act like a jerk.

and the Number 1 Sign a Drug Should Be Recalled...

Every time you try to dial the side-effect hotline, your new lobster arm swats the phone from your hand and clamps your nose with its pincers.

Instead of unzipping the files, go into the Discography section, and temporarily allow pop ups.

The player will allow you to listen to all 11 tunes if you have the inclination & time!

Robbers Have More Than Cash on Their Minds

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (Reuters) - Six pistol-toting Brazilian men appeared to have more than cash on their minds when they robbed a drug store in Rio de Janeiro.

"They specifically demanded that we give them anti-impotence drugs. These drugs and the money was what interested them," Ailton de Souza, the drugstore manager, told Reuters on Tuesday.

On Sunday night, the robbers blew the vault with a blow torch and fled with an equivalent of about $7,000 in cash and checks, as well as more than 100 boxes containing 400 pills worth about $2,600 -- enough for a two-month sex marathon for each of the six robbers.

"They were pretty indiscriminate about the brands," the manager said, explaining that the men took packages of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.

The drugs, used to treat erectile dysfunction, are sold prescription-free in most Brazilian pharmacies.

hi everyone

thank you for the sweet messages congratulating my acceptance into grad school. I fell into heavy depression this past week and shut myself from everyone. I got an email last wednesday saying my application was being re-considered because they werent sure how about my finances. For the entire week they wouldnt reply to my phone calls and I felt very neglected. With Christmas break approaching, I felt like I lost all hope of contacting them for the time being. I felt like I was hell for this past week. Today, they finally contacted me and told me all was well and I was formally accepted. I finally got some energy in me to actually do something other than worry. I am still trembling from all this but it feels like some weight is off my chest. man, life can be so unpredictable.

will be back in a few :)
