Clarky,

Subject: Steve Blucher/DiMarzio;

I contacted DiMarzio regarding the 30 year old PAF & Dual Sound that I currently have on my 30 year old Les Paul Custom, and I guess the way I worded the question prompted Steve to contact me directly.

My Luthier, use to work at DiMarzio a long time ago, and knows Steve personally, so I suppose, that it didn't hurt when I dropped his name. My Luthier (listen to this shit) set up SRV, EC, Satch, Vai, James Taylor's & Vince Gill's guitars when he worked in Manhattan as a guitar tech at Manny's, Rudy's & Sam Ash all situated across the street from each other...how fargin lucky am I...I almost shit when he told me.

ALL my guitars play better than they ever had, once Larry my Luthier set them up!

Anyway, so I simply asked Steve Blucher through a series of emails how to achieve the sound I described to him, given the axe in question.

Steve suggested several (existing) pick up selections that should work with the mass & wood type of my guitar to obtain the sound I described. I bounced his ideas off my Luthier, and decided on the final course of action.

Turns out, Steve is a very cool, down to earth, no bullshit kinda guy....he's got a very dry, sharp sense of humor...love to have a couple of beers with him.

I'm about to bring my Ibanez Satch model to Larry to set it up exactly to Satch's specifications just to see what Joe deals with...in the way of his set up...on a daily basis!

If you're interested on contacting Steve I'll pave the way for ya.

Peace, Love & Happiness!

If Steve Blucher did design a pick up for me... maybe the DiMarzio..."Hot to Trott" lol.

I love puns.....if he made a signature pickup for Jeff Beck, would it be a "Beck and Call" ?

How'd you meet that fellow to begin with?

Hey all, happy holidays!! I just bought a 535Q Dunlop Cry Baby Wah Pedal, and a Line 6 Distortion pedal. What's the better setup cuz I need some help. Should I put the Wah Pedal before or after the distortion pedal? The Wah before distortion seems to really drain out the distortion.

JERSEY JET- Welcome to the site! That sound's like quite the rig! Happy merry Christmas to You also! Actually I am not familiar with any of the line 6 product's, But there is no real wrong way to run it(well i geuss there is) Usually I daisy chain My wah, through My dist. box and then right into My amp, There are Noise boxes You can get to, if the noise becomes unbearable, znr, and stuff. Play around with these, and see what Sort of sound you get, Also the Wah has a setting to control the wah and Q-filter freqencies! and the distrtion box, has certain setting's there are a "happy medium" Experiment is really the best way to acheive Your desired tone! Good Luck with Your Music! Follow those dream's goal's!

Hi Joe or anybody I have a question it's about the track Why from the Extremist Cd. Does anybody know what pitches are in the twin lead sound it just sounds so awesome and I was playing round trying to get it I think he used a Boss effect for it ?? I have a rocktron prophesy capable of it but I need to know the pitch settings ? I think he uses the original sound and two different pitches or if you see this Joe put me out of my misery and tell me ! By the way I chromed my guitar it looks cool too if I may say so !! Cheers John from Germany

SteveeT- Hey, When are You gonna' sign up for CDbaby? Digital sales are really catching on! It's odd how one would put 20-or 30 cents on their credit card, But if You look at it If one dose a whole lot of digital buying, Then compiles them all intp there own (private use) complimation disc, That could end up being a sizable amount of Money! and that appear's what seems to be happening! it's odd, but Kool, that One of My song's could end up on a Pop disc!.....Soon, I Hope to this year pick out the best one's on My site + A few other new ones I am working on and realse those! Well, Happy day, and hope Your day is going really well! C ya' Steven C.

I have an idea for a band...but it involves, for one thing getting a band, and then for the other thing I need them to all wear black suits (like men in black...coincidentally), and I will also have to aqcuire some top hats and monicles.

Oh and a top hat with a chin strap for the drummer. :-)

Take care, live crazy but carefully.
