JOE! This was a great christmas! I ended up getting a whole new setup! I just picked up your JS100 and love it (even though its not the newest model, it still plays like a champ; just needs to get a lil tune-up). I also got a BOSS GT-3 pedal and a Peavey half stack!
But that's not all! I got six FREE tickets to see you @ The Grove on the 1st!
I was floored! Can't wait to hear your "musical phenomenon"!

Late,
Chris Porrino

Clarky:No worrys bro, another option would be t just send the sections y feel y like the best & i,ll do a small reply thing in the space or whatever.Had endless hours of fun with the passing Alt Dom chords in B Bossa myself....."well i like that,no i like that more....but maybe...." yeah i hear y on the havin fun bit,b4 y know it the early hours are passin fast & the wifes at y t get t bed cause y got work in the morn, lol,so no sweat bro, enjoy the rest of the festive & good luck with the album & tour next year, hope its a blinder for y bud.

Stevee T:Yo Steve, well i went t the discography section &....nope my comp is not having it,more virus in its box than a 17th century prostitute mate,i,ll have t pull the finger out & wrap up this last piece so i can scrub the hard drive & get back on track. From the little i,ve heard of your guitar playing & music,i really like, well recorded & mixed 2,will be hearing more.Strange y mentioned about Flymans having a Samba Sting vibe t it,cause around the time i wrote that i was listening a lot t Emily Remler & Stings "dream of the blue turtles" so its more than probable its rubbed off...interesting

VFRrocker:Get back t y in the N.Year bud,enjoy

Comedian George Carlin Enters Rehab Program

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Comedian George Carlin, who became a counter-culture hero in the 1970s with routines about drugs and dirty words, said on Monday he was voluntarily entering a drug and alcohol treatment program.

"I'm going into rehab because I use too much wine and Vicodin," Carlin, 67, whose latest book "When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops?" is a current national bestseller, said in a statement. "No one told me I needed this; I recognized the problem and took the step myself."

The announcement came weeks after the veteran stand-up comic caused a stir at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas with a performance that questioned the intellect of people who visit the resort city.

According to media accounts of the incident, Carlin's bit about "moronic" Vegas tourists touched off a bitter, profane exchange with members of the audience, including one woman who shouted "Stop degrading us."

Carlin has acknowledged having battled cocaine addiction in the 1980s but said he quit on his own by tapering off the drug. He also has suffered three heart attacks.

Speaking of his current problem, he said: "My levels of use are nowhere near the worst you hear about these days; I could easily have continued functioning at a good level ... for awhile. But my use would have progressed, I would have been in deeper trouble, and I didn't want to tolerate that."

Carlin's spokesman, Jeff Abraham, said the comedian entered rehab on Monday but did not know how long he would remain in treatment. He said Carlin was currently scheduled to begin a new engagement at Stardust Hotel in Vegas in February.

Steve and 962 thank you for your kind words. 962 I'm not really sure what my ferret died from. Maybe pneumonia or somrthing related. He missed the city. Whatever it was; it was too soon. He was always so vibrant, so fiesty. Thats why I named him Mustaine plus they favored each other. When he died I sent him off with A Toute LaMonde. Hopefully he is in ferret heaven. Now I need to give him a proper burrial. He's chillin in the freezer now; gonna take him back to chicago, his home.

Bad news over this holliday, I lost someonedear to my heart this Christmas. My ferret Mustaine died yesterday at the age of four. It's still not fully sinking in. I loved that smelly bastard. He took his last breath in my arms. It was like some movie shit. I'll miss him.

R.I.P. Mustaine

so sorry about your ferret achoo :( i'm a rodent lover myself (my nickname gives that away) i've never had a ferret - only rabbits & guinea pigs. one of my g. pigs passed away last Aug. 29 & a year ago i had to have my dwarf rabbit put down :( myxomitosis. i know how you feel - sending good thoughts your way :)

My cat, Baconhead (don't ask), got lost in the woods and probably starved to death. We found its remains being eaten by an owl.

My lizard, Liz, froze to death.

My dog had to be put to sleep because it killed another dog.

I know how it feels... sorry.

Words can't seem to form a coherent sentence when summing up what has happened in Asia. So my lives gone, it truly is a tragedy.

Pray for the families of those who have suffered a loss in this massive catastrophy.

Steven Wilde I spent today playing with my effects processor, I've got a Digitech RP200 and I'm trying to get the most out of it. I've achieved the sound I like using the distortion I like and a nice EQ setting. Now the music making process can continue.

I'm going to be slaving away tomorrow to get the non-guitar parts done as a first draft. Then wednesday I will spend all day writing the guitar parts and trying to give the track some atmosphere.

I can't wait to see how it comes out as its my first attempt at an ambient style of music, but theres only one way to find out :-)

Take care,

Delfino

[edit]BigBunny Your paints are excellent :-)...I love the satriani one,and the one of the green and blue frog looks amazing. Keep up the good work :-)

Steven Wilde, thanx for the help dude, I apreciate it. I think it may have been a mistake buying the Wah Pedal, but I'll get the setup to where I like it in time. My dad bought me a Ibanez JS100 for x-mas, so I'll be trying to get my setup right all nite if I have too.

virtuososean....I'm pretty sure Joe does'nt use a Fernandes Sustainer. But at one time or another he has used a "FatFinger"...which is clamped to the headstock for added weight and the resulting extra sustain. As far as the Les Paul goes....I would'nt touch it...that thing should sustain indefinately just looking at it 8)

SOTD......"Samba Pa Ti"......and I can't get "Jingo" out of my head either.

ok, who agrees with me that George Lynch should go on a G3 tour with Joe and Steve? I think it would be awsome. Maybe he would even have Dokken or Lynch Mob playing during his single portion of the show. then jam with Steve and Joe. I think that would rock!
