JOE - hey man, i know your sick but whats the deal with your ticket prices? i was at eric johnson's site and it said he was playing the 4th and B so i clicked it and you were on the homepage, it was talking about the postponement.... then i had to do a triple take... Box Seats $250/$300/$350 what the f? are you madonna or the stones? whats the deal with that? trying to pimp your ride? buy yourself out of your sony/epic contract? buy a ticket to space? i didnt see anyone else with those astronomical prices... BB king - $60. Eric Johnson - $20 Richie Blackmore - $20 Mos Def - $30....i know the GA for the show is $30 but wtf is up with these "special packages" and "box seats" and shit lately? what happened to the days of $20 to $50 gets you in, no bullshit ? have a lot of respect for you so i dont want to assume you're just trying to strike it rich..... being rich comes from somewhere else, not our wallets and you know this more than anyone else.....im kinda shocked....cognitive dissonance if you will.
steve has been doing this lately too....

Zinc Master......congrats on reaching 900 posts in only a couple of months..lol...!!!!
YaYo....I don't know how old you are...but I remember going to all day concerts with every band imaginable playing at it...for maybe 10 or 12 bucks ! I agree totally...prices are getting way out of hand...but I wonder if Sony or some other entity is taking a nice chunk of that. It just does'nt seem like Joe's style to fleece like that.

Hey Joe man, in all honnesty what are the chances of you ever playin' in serbia? The country isn't as bad as everyone thinks (deppends on how bad they think it is) and everyone has a lot respect for great musicians. all you gotta do is come, play for a while and admire how everything is so 70s.
Later man, get well soon

Newbies and whatnot and such ~ we have a fantastic cd featuring the folks here at T2J who have recorded their own ORIGINAL songs onto one compact disc titled SATCHERATED FEEDBACK.
Here's what Joe himself had to say about it ~ "The T2J CD is finally available for all to enjoy! You've got to check out how our fellow musicians here at satriani.com are writing, playing and recording. This is a great CD, the first of many more I hope! --Joe"
At the request of Joe Satriani, proceeds will go to the International Red Cross.
You can find it at www.Talk2Joe.com :-)

DCK: It looks like you're right about EVH ditching Peavey. I just saw an add in the latest GP that shows Peavey reintroducing the 5150 as the 6505!! Eddie has lost it haha!
TOALL: In the latest GP Peavey posted an add that Joe will be doing a webcast for Peavey on Feb 1 or this year that will feature a live show, plus a backstage demo of the JSX....sounds cool.

civgeek, as for this war, it's all just to much to take in. As for the bat thing - I gave my daughter a shirt of the band Midtown, and it has a big black bat across the front of it. That was about the only bat gift she got. She'd have prolly been pissed if I would have went...batty on her gifts. lol!
Ya Yo, I hate talking politics. I'd rather talk about just about anything else. lol! Hell, religion is even more " fun" to talk about than politics, and that's #2 on my no-no list. lol! As for those ticket prices - that's uneffinbelievable! Two-fitty as the lowest price for a box seat?!!? WTF is up wit dat! For three-fitty you should be able to share a bunk on the bus with Joe. lmao!
WEBMASTER or JOE, can we please have an update on Joe's health? It's been a week, and hopefully the antibiotics and whatnot have kicked in and have Joe feeling a bit better.
Ah well, I guess we'll hear something when Joe is better. BEST WISHES TO YOU JOE! WE LOVE YOU!

Hey guys I'm new here but not to music or Joe's music. Just wanted to say what's up. Also I have a few questions for Joe or anyone else who can answer them. First off, what type of sponsorship does Joe have? Second, what type of changes were made to the silver surfer guitar? Thanks and I'll talk to everyone later!

I wanted to wish everyone a great New Year. My holidays were very good. I spent X-mas with my family in CA. We really look forward to this trip as we only get to see them once or twice a year. I tried to catch Tracie (Cheese 101) and Steven Wylde while I was down there, but was unable to do so. I was bummed about that. I do hope to see some of you at the Vai show in April. Tracie you and the boy have to come up a day early.
For New Years the band I’m in had their first gig. It was a small party, which fit us good, as we are still a little rough around the edges. We only had 2 major train wrecks and a few mess-ups that were not as noticeable. We apologized to our host and were happy to hear that we were honest with him as to our ‘polishedness’ and he knew what he was getting. So, he hired us for two more shows based on the musicality of the group and a strong, different, and modern set list. We did play “Summer Song” and I only missed 1 note that I’m sure went unnoticed. There were a couple other guitar players there that were very complementary. Our other guitarist asked if I noticed people getting into the song but I told him all I saw was my fretboard. Anyway there is the update. Later.
