Mikey, thanks for the picture. They could have been a C-130's, but I didn't take notice to the props. I was to in awe of the size and how low they were flying, plus I was still driving. lol! I don't know what they were or where they were going. As for big bases around here, the first one that comes to mind is Dover, Del. (I'm half asleep) lol!

Steven, hiya pal. How's things with you. I'm good - trying to dodge all the colds and stomach bugs everyone seems to have these days. bleh!

Suzie, hold on to the little bit of sanity you have left with your left hand, and keep the wine glass full in your right hand. LOL! We moved on my birthday in August 2003. It was so hot, and of course, it had to rain before we were done. There were no complications like you're having, so I really feel for you. For me, the worst thing about moving is having strangers coming into your house with the realtor while you're not home. You have to stick everything up your bum so it's not pilfered by sticky fingers. You have no idea who is really interested in buying your home, and who is just being nosey. My husband swears we're going to die in this house. He refuses to move again. lol! I can't get over how complicated it is to move house over there. Best of luck on Friday!

PFields, a question you can answer? Um, so what's it like living in Claremore, OK? lol! Only YOU can answer that one. lol!

bahduh, I'm over the dance. lol! I'm enjoying the quietness after the holidays. It's so peaceful - no shopping for gifts or last minute stuff, just a nice peaceful time :)

I need a nap.

962 - Your SA has the same Pickup config as my RG. I just slammed a Tone Zone in the bridge and it sounds sweet. I wired it like a Jem with the 5-way selector then added the coil taps for versitility. If you are going to change the pick up I would consider the TZ.

Michelle - Having spent summers in Okie-la-homa. I can answer Parkers question also. It SUCKS!!!! I so hate the interior of our country. It is miserable. I will never live more than 100 miles from the coast. There is just no reason to. BTW What dance were you doing? The Batdance. LOL

Dance of the day

We can dance if we want to,
we can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine

Say, we can go where we want to,
a place that they will never find And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind

And we can dance

We can go when we want to, the night is young and so am I
And we can dress real neat from our hats to our feet
And surprise them with the victory cry

Say, we can act if we want to, if we don't nobody will
And you can act real rude or totally removed
And I can act like an imbecile

Say we can dance, we can dance
Everything's out of control
We can dance, we can dance
They're doing it from pole to pole
We can dance, we can dance
Everybody look at your hands
We can dance, we can dance
Everybody taken the chance

The safety dance
The safety dance
The safety dance

We can dance if we want to,
we've got all your life and mine
As long as we abuse it we are never going to lose it
And everything will work out right

Say, we can dance if we want to,
we can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance well they're no friend of mine

I will seek and find you . . .

I shall take you to bed and have my way with you . . .

I will make you ache, shake & sweat until you moan & groan.

I will make you beg for mercy, beg for me to stop.

I will exhaust you to the point that you will be relieved when I'm finished with you.

And, when I am finished, you will be weak for days.

All my love, The Flu

Now get your mind out of the gutter!!!

Good morning, I see you already had your first cup of Joe this morning.

"I am not an anarchist, but a minarchist."

"I do write a lot about what should be. Compromise in such matters only guarantees that what should be will never be."

I admire your passion however extreme.

" While there will certainly be devastating individual impacts, and many of those beyond the scope of the particular lives of the individuals not having shelter, the impacts are only made collective when the government extracts from each of us in order to attempt to correct such perceived ills. "

True, and thus the dilemma of compassion. How much do you help someone before they need to stand on their own? Yesterday an interracial couple filled out a credit application for a two bedroom condo that I have listed for rent. They were nice and just relocated from the Pacific Northwest. Also they just had their second child on December 25th. While scanning over the application, I noticed that under the heading for employment they both wrote NONE. When challenged on this a question of ability to pay, they informed me that they receive $1500 a month in government assistance. I asked about the nature of the assistance and they refused to tell me sighting "privacy rights". I declined them on the spot and allowed them the usual "Racial Bastard I am gonna sue your little white faggoty ass" comments. I came back with the usual "If your lawyer has your work ethic then I am not concerned"

What’s my point? These are the true individualist of society. Ignorant, misinformed, misguided, liberal deadbeats. When is the last time you've seen a guy with a job get $1500 a month from anybody. You bring up a good point about property taxes. The state just raised the home owner’s property tax exemption in Illinois from $3000 to $5000 / year. Let me clarify, this is for Owner Occupied homes not rental units. SO WHERE IS THIS BIG TAX BREAK FOR THE RICH? Anyway, our county just reassessed property and crammed it right in our ass. You guessed it to make up for the budget revenue loss due to the tax relief. The sad part is they just didn't raise the valuations on the owner occupied units, that would be unfair right? Yep they raised it on all units, so up goes all of my property tax and hence the rent, trickling down to that extra buck the sorry minimum wage saps think they got as raise.

"Unfortunately, these changes will be gradual and will not be seen as related to the rise in minimum wage, and rather than the government taking the blame for interfering with mutually beneficial individual negotiation, you will be blamed for being a greedy bastard. "

You know, when I started in business I wanted to share and to be kind and generous. The government has changed my mind on this.

Reminds me of a Queen tune "I WANT IT ALL.... I WANT IT ALL.... AND I WANT IT NOW!

"Out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on the rightful governmental role in "gay marriage" or same-sex civil unions? "

I don't think anyone can have thoughts specific to just Gay or Same Sex marriage with out defining the role of government in traditional marriage. The only reason for the government to have a role in traditional marriage is when it's dissolved. There you have two parties that are usually unable to come to a mutually beneficial parting of the ways. So the courts mediate and arbitrate to the best of their ability on three key components of any union.

Grounds for the dissolution, Property distribution, and finally Custody, care and education of any offspring.

When I take out any emotion or religious bias and view it in the traditional sense, I think that Gay's should have the same rights as heterosexuals. Once again because it has nothing to do with the formation of the union, just the dissolution. The government doesn't predicate who you or I choose as a partner for our heterosexual union, I feel they shouldn't choose it for a homosexual union. Let’s face it no matter how you or I feel about gay marriage or the act of gay sex for that matter it will not change (nor should it) someone's sexual orientation. I think the passing of a gay marriage bill of rights would open up the much needed reform of father’s rights and justice in a heterosexual dissolution.

Man, I did take a nap and I just woke up. Now I have to eat, get a shower, and be at work in 2 hours. What a way to piss the day away. It's dark and rainy outside, so it's ace for sleeping. If I didn't have to work today, I'd curl back up on the sofa and give it another go. I hope I'm not coming down with a cold...

civgeek, guess that's why I don't live there. lol! The dance was Granny's happy dance from the Beverly Hillbillies - Oh we got, joy, joy, joy, joy down in our hearts! lol! I forgot all about the Batdance! lmao! I'll do that one the next time...and hopefully it won't be because of a bat. LOL!

"I would be interested to know in what ways you think the passage of such a "bill of rights" would have an impact on father's rights and justice in heterosexual dissolution"

The courts are clearly biased when custody of a child is concerned in a dissolution of marriage. When two parents are stable and caring in a traditional marriage and both want custody usually the court will decide for sole custody for the female while giving visitation to the male. This is discriminitory and unfair. If there were two men or two women in court the blinders of traditional masculine femanine would be removed and a true light of justice could shine.

Ooooftaa !!! It was -28 degrees this morning....had to go out and warm the grocery getter up earlier than usual.

Which reminded me.....around this time last year my fiance and I moved into our place...and it was at least 20 below zero when we did it. I'd take 80 degrees and humid over sub-freezing temps any day !

Zen, I did not mean that EVH himself is vitriolic, the comments by supposed fans on an EVH board would be vitriolic:

vitriolic

adj 1: harsh or corrosive in tone; "an acerbic tone piercing otherwise flowery prose"; "a barrage of acid comments"; "her acrid remarks make her many enemies"; "bitter words"; "blistering criticism"; "caustic jokes about political assassination, talk-show hosts and medical ethics"; "a sulfurous denunciation"

see what I mean??

As for wood, do you or do you not punish and torture your Tele as much as you punish the trees??

SUPAADAVE, i was trying to think of where i heard of virginia minnesota and then i remembered in the early 80's i was on the road with a band from madison wi. and we played a place called the opera house in V.M. in the winter and boy was it cold. the place had rooms above the bar and we stayed and played there for a week. i remember it was a nice club and it had a big stage. is the place still there and operating? we called it the frigid tour because we played houghton mi. then hurley, virginia mn. and then back to madison wi all in january. i was never so cold in my life
