"I will not go into an argument to prove that Congress has no power to appropriate this money as an act of charity. Every member upon this floor knows it."

I agree there are 293,027,571 (July 2004 est.) people living in the united states.

The government just pledged $350,000,000 of our dollars to the tsunami relief aid. Private contributions need to fund the rest of the relief, while public funds need to be put to homeland needs. Primarily back into the hands that it was extorted from. The private contributions from such a giving nation as the United States will never be accurately counted. I do not trust Kofi and the boys at the UN to get the aid to where it is needed. Cut them off there a bunch of corrupt self serving dick cheeses.

Cuth - I have thousands of songs in my head. These are just the ones I felt would be the most annoying.LOL My family is very musical and I have at one concert performance or another played guitar, sax (tenor,alto,bass), trombone, trumpet, piano, baritone, congas, steel drums, and I used to sing. But with all that I still mostly listen to guitar oriented stuff in the rock, jazz, and fusion realms. Posting the lyrics to There's Only One Way to Rock is not nearly as fun as;

I got this strange fascination
For this chick, down the hall
Reliable information, Yeah
Says she ain't givin' up the ball
But Saturday night, I'll be checkin' it out
From the back of my van........

Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Havin' a ball
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Writing on the wall......

Just yesterday, my friend got busted
She came home, smellin' like smoke
It's such a shame, when your not trusted
She only had one little toke
Yeah, the fear that you might fall
It's driving you up, the wall.........

Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Havin' a ball
OW!
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Writing on the wall..........

{guitar/keyboard solo} Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Havin' a ball
WHOO!
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Writing on the wall
(Yeah!)
Fast Times at Ridgeemont High
Havin' a ball
Fast Times at Ridgemont High

This one is actually serious

I found this on Sammy's site and thought I would share.

Twas the night before Christmas, he lived all alone, in a one bedroom house made of plaster and stone. I had come down the chimney with presents to give and to see just who in this home did live. As I looked all about, a strange sight did I did see... No tinsel, no presents, not even a tree. No stocking by the fire, just boots filled with sand. On the wall hung pictures of a far distant land.

With medals and badges, awards of all kind, a sobering thought soon came to my mind. For this house was different, unlike any I'd seen. This was the home of a U.S. Marine.

I'd heard stories about them, I had to see more, so I walked down the hall and pushed open the door. And there he lay sleeping, silent, alone. Curled up on the floor of his one bedroom home.

He seemed so gentle, his face so serene. Not how I pictured a U.S. Marine. Was this the hero of whom I'd just read? Curled up in his poncho, a floor for his bed?

His head was clean shaven, his face weathered tan. I soon understood this was more than a man. For I realized the families that I saw that night, owed their lives to these men, who were willing to fight.

Soon around the nation, the children would play, and grown-ups would celebrate on a bright Christmas day. They all enjoyed freedom, each month and all year, because of Marines like this one lying here.

I couldn't help wonder how many lay alone, on a cold Christmas eve in a land far from home. Just the very thought brought a tear to my eye. I dropped to my knees and I started to cry.

He must have awoken, for I heard a rough voice, "Santa, don't cry. This is my choice. I fight for freedom, I don't ask for more. My life is my God, my Country, my Corps."

With that he rolled over, drifted off into sleep. I couldn't control it, I continued to weep. I watched him for hours, so silent and still. I noticed he shivered from the cold night's chill.

So I took off my jacket, the one made of red, and covered this Marine from his toes to his head. Then I put on his T-shirt of scarlet and gold, with an eagle, globe and anchor emblazoned so bold.

And although it barely fit me, I began to swell with pride, and for one shining moment, I was Marine Corps deep inside. I didn't want to leave him, so quiet in the night, this guardian of honor so willing to fight.

But half asleep he rolled over, and in a voice clean and pure, said, "Carry on Santa. It's Christmas Day, all secure." One look at my watch and I knew he was right. Merry Christmas my friend, Semper Fi, and goodnight.

"You are familiar with "total happiness", and why I think it is the only valid consideration for such a special, yes? "

Pretty self explanatory eh?

"Will that be the dairy offering and method of delivery for my special?...lol "

I am offering string cheese served between two meat balls on white or wheat of course, or on a low grab oops, I mean low carb wrap. Or for the lactose intolerant, soy milk for the moustache (I hear that is Jareds favorite)!

Well I am 15 and I am getting A&B grades in art and music thanks to you Joe. Your music has inspired me to write guitar music like yours and generate art that I give thanks to you.

Two of my projects at school are about your music. In art I am doing a sculpture where there are lights beaming though crystals and guess what inspired me to think of that, 'lights of heaven'. In art I will get really heigh grades if I found out what inspired you to compose 'lights of heaven' and 'up in flames' ('up in flames' has the most amzing wah part ever).

Can I ask you what thoughts came across whilst writing 'lights of heaven' and 'up in flames'?

When I leave colage I am going to go onto a solo music career and try to relese albums thanks to you.

Cheers buddy.

I was running through the channels last night and came across the Surreal Life on VH1. I laughed so hard! Man, that show is so wonderfully aweful I couldn't bring myself to change the channel. Joanie Lauer (WWE - Chyna) is on it looking like a cheep hooker with bad hair & lips, Christopher Knight (Peter Brady), who actually turned out pretty well, Da Brat, who is so out of her element she don't know which way to go, one of the Go-Go's, a male and female model, and last but not least - Vern (Mini-Me). On this episode, Vern gets drunk, way drunk, ooooverly drunk. This is the part of the show that was sooo friggin' funny! Lil' freaky Vern got his swerve on and fell over like a weeble and had to be carried to bed. What happens after that had me laughing all night. I found the exact clip on Vh1, so if you have the time and feel like a good laugh, go check it out.

http://www.vh1.com/shows/Celebreality/sneak.jhtml

click on Surreal Life.

I'm 5 pages behind. I'll catch up later.

edit**

What happens after that clip is over, is that Vern gets back up, and is caught driving his buggy down the hall naked. He drives straight into the corner of a room, turns so he's facing sideways, and proceeds to urinate on the floor, all the while he's still on his scooter.

I bet a few of you guys can relate to Vern. lmao!!

Michelle....we watched "The Surreal Life" too......OMG...I have'nt laughed that hard in a long time LOL ! Although we were concerned about having freaky, Vern Troyer nightmares that night 80.......we got lucky and did'nt wake up screaming !!! Can you imagine laying and bed and hearing that moaning he was doing when he was passed out? LMAO !!!

It seems to me that Da Brat is going to end up being Da Bitch in this show.....calling everyone "has been's". I had never heard of her until the series started so.....she ain't all that !

Hi, everybody!

Good to hear (read) that Joe is getting better.

Once again I found one excellent rock album:Ted Nugent: "craveman" (2002). I've always enjoyed mr Nugent's 'keep it simple, stupid'-like rock 'n' roll. I didn't even know he's still rockin', but this album shows well that he really still can! ...what a guitar tone ...excellent tunes!!! ...highly recommend!

Do The Stu: I sent you e-mail (to the address you've given in your member information). Hope you got it?

I'm still busy at work, so I can only lurk every now and then. Hope everybody is doing fine!

ZENFISH- That just suck's No drummer. I hope thing's get situated where you can get all the player's you need for your Gig's. Randell, is doing good, Because of His situation, We can't do many stuff together as we did before :-( But We are still Above the number's. And Still really enjoy each other's Playing, and learning from Tony, and John, as well as each other. But I am more adventerous with Guitar music, than he is. He is reall resreved about His performances, and playing. I Love to Go un-charted water's and start sinking, Then quickly get up to speed, and stop from actually drowning! and for some that's just too risky, and Not formidable, That's why I love beck, and Vai's, Style, there are no boundries, and no limitation's. Explore every facet of the guitar and it's cababiliteis, And then just like a flight time at A Supercross event, get as radical, and crazy, as You can! and hold nothing back! Thats why I Love Experimental riffing! Get totaly lost, and overwhelmed, and then if You return good, but if not..Well then your in discovery mode, and the guitar dose the songwriting. I know i have Werid philosophy about the guitar and it's Tone, and vibes. But, I am alway's searching for something, I know i'll never ever find. So it keeps the learning Adventureas, and new! I tire of thing's very quickly. Thing's that are aweome today. i will burn out on them in 5 hrs Well, I rraally am rambling, So Heres' wishing you well, And for Zenfish to retrieve a Drummer that Fit's well, and makes up the Other percussion half!....................................MICHELLE- How Is Your Tooth where the cavity was? is it doing much better? Hope so! Warmest, and Freindly regards!.......................OVATION1-Mike, hey Alway's good to see you! What's up? How Ya' been? I'll bet you sure have been doing a lot of Working, and Playing! eh!? Well, keep up the cool work, and I will try and do the same! Have a great Day!

For the first time in absolutely ages I'm listening to KoRn...seems like only yesterday I picked up the guitar and started a 2 man guitar band with my best friend...which faded away until we went our own seperate musical routes.

I think I was as obsessed with the guitar back then as I am now...and he is a kick ass song writer, he has songs posted all round his room that his has wrote...

I feel so fortunate to have the friends I have, including you guys.

Happy New Year to ALL. I dont get here as often as I used to. Mari - I did get your e-card - THANK YOU.

Slansh - UR a FEKKER. Get that album finished THIS MONTH or I'll kick yer ass.

Mikey - Hope you are well. I was in Japan in September, Thailand too. Be back in Thailand in April. I'm getting around. Moved to NY from Atlanta. Still trying to figure out ways to get SLANSH and SBM over here. I am working it out though.

JOE - I had pneumonia last Christmas - actually flew 2 hours after the doc said i was VERY sick and pumped me full of drugs. I keep penicillin on hand now - strong stuff - in case i get the slightest hint of catching it again. Scared the life out of me. Not sure how you could play - I couldn't even lift my feet. Glad you are recovering. All the best to you, your family and the band.

You know - I gave Joe a copy of Slansh's stuff a couple of years ago - wonder how he liked it. Had some SBM stuff and Flyman's knuckle. I'll give you a new copy of stuff in the near future - You will like it. :o)

Anyway, I'll try not to disappear into oblivion again. Hey - noticed Holdworth is here in NYC on 13th!! I can't quite understand the jazz aspects and am not an avid fan - but a player second to none. Pure genius. Bye for now Ronnie

Clarky: You ought to check out the Vienna Music Library or something like that. It's a new midid library that the composer (who I've done a bunch of work with) bought about a year ago. It's amazing! Everything sounds just like the real thing...I mean, he noodled with an oboe sample and it sounded like a rreal player in front of me! Basically it's a $5000 100gig library, but if your looking for great orchestral midi samples, that's the real deal.
