290 posts behind. Shit man?

Any of you old pharts (JOE included) remember this...it's plucked from the middle of the song -

I wanna scream, I want you all to know I would be runnin' but my feets are too slow Young man really got a hold on it too I got the Rockin' Pneumonia And The Boogie Woogie Flu.

I've had that song in my head for a few days now. Blame it on Joe. lol! I went to cduniverse to hear a clip of it. Found a clip by the Grateful Dead. Man, that is one mellow cool band that takes me back to the daze long past in bong heaven. Do sober people actually listen to the Dead? I stopped smoking 16 years ago, but when I hear the Dead, I'm there dude! lol! I'm not even a DeadHead, it's just the vibe of the band. lol! I don't remember who sang the original. Anybody know?

Steven, happy birthday honey! Hope you're feeling better soon my friend.

night peeps!

Anyone here have experience with changing out pickups in a guitar? I'd like to try some different types to sample sounds.

CLarky: I hear you on the music library haha! But you can see where it would come in handy for composers...I mean, if you get hired to do a composing job, you can pocket much more money instead of hiring an actual orchestra. Definitely pays for itself in that situaton.....hey idea: why don't you find an excuse to write a symphony to pay for the music library haha! About the acoustic versus electric...your sentiments are definitely right on. I'd have to say that my opinion is that many technical acoustic players have trouble playing electric cleanly, because string damping is not such a major neccesity (hell, bluesgrass players hardly even use their right hand palms to mute at all) conversely, many shredders have trouble on acoustics, because they favor tons of pick angle to speed up their picking, while at the same time hurting the fundamental tone of the string. But yes, these comparisons are also silly. "On second thought, let us not go to Camelot...it is a silly place."

Stevee T, yeah it's probably secret in some way, and the ibanez guys just found themselves enjoying the rare opportunity to tell someone they couldn't share such information, so they milked it. It'll be interesting to see when the new Chrome JS does get unveiled!
alexandre, hey thanks for the birthday wishes bro! I'm 21! Thanks also for checking out the new tunes, and for your feedback. yeah I will, eventually, properly produce them.....like, go to a studio for a couple of days, you know. before I do that I need to work on the tracks I like, and work on the guitar solos for most of them cause I can't just improvise when recording it properly! hehe. Thanks again amigo! kind regards :-)
DCK, excellent, thanks a lot for checking that out, I really appreciate that! Did you tell 'em you were checkin it out for someone else? What did you think of it in general? Do you like it?
Leanna, good to see you back here! happy new year!
bahduh, sorry to hear about the general unrest bro....hope your son makes a rapid recovery, this is not a good time of year to be really unwell. Also, yeah, I will do, and you let me know if you hear anything too!

Just want to greet everyone in community!

It's so great to live in 21st century. We have so many opportunities to express ourselves! I've never dreamed to own an electric guitar when I've heard Joe at the first time. But now I have all the gear (even an Ibanez amp) and perform to my friends sometimes.

[b]Life is defenitely good![b]

Kind Regards, Ice-In-A-Glass

962 Ah nothing too major man, I could just see life's 'little expenses' mounting up before me when I looked a bit harder. I figure it's better that I pulled the plug before the expense and landed myself in the doo doo. Shame cos the wife was behind me as well :-/.................... next year bro', next year :-)

Delfinos Lets just say its...erm...well on a scale of 1 - 10...its experimental lol Thanks man I nearly choked on my apple - lmfao ;-)

Badduh Hard times for you man, I feel for you bro' and hope that the sun will shine a little brighter for you. Hope the little guy gets well soon. Watching your kids suffer is the worst thing in the world. Stay positive man.

Slanshroom You fucking rock man, one word, virtuoso!

FabLawyer Thanks for the link man, I've already got the rest of that page on CD :-)

Unsung Hero Of the Day Dave Meneketti................. that dude just pumps me full of adrenalin......................... picture the scene It's 06.30am this morning, I've dragged my tired late 30's bones out of bed donned the hoodie and headphones and gone out to the exercise bike in the garage (New Year - pah!!)...................... all week I've has SWTA on the discman but today I went for Y & T live ("Good Call!" in a Wayne's World voice)............. so 'Mean Streak' comes on, I'm pedalling a bit faster than usual.................and peak as the solo hits.........................along with air guitar headbanging like a fucking muppet! - lmao.....................'Hurricane' comes up I've got the hands in the air for the stops........ 'air singing' my way through the lyrics............ ;-)...................somethings you just got to do by yourself - lol................ The upshot being that I got 0.5 miles further in 20 mins than usual............ the power of music!!!!!!

Stevee T - Not to be an ass-hole or anything, but is there any chance you could keep all of your "wassups" to different people to one post as it is really difficult to read. Cheers bro....

Oh and Ibanez89 stop posting the same message several times as it comes across as agressive and no-one will want to help you.

VFRocker, Re Dave Meniketti: He also has a KILLER rock-blues album called "On the Blue Side". Just think vintage Les Paul raunch a la Gary Moore with better vocals. Yes, it is that good.......
Slansh, I picked up a DVD audio copy of "Flamenco a GoGo" that includes a 10 minute live video track from Japan. Quite a juxtaposition to see Steve, all leather, piercings and black nail polish playing wicked flamenco and Al Dimeola type riffs... Very impressive. The album itself is terrific, great tunes and production with of course great guitar playing.....

VFRocker - That is so cool that you are into Y&T. I don't run into too many people outside of the Bay Area that are into them. Being a late 30s Butt rocker, that grew up in the Bay I have seen them many a time. I just saw the other day that the individual albums are being released, as Japanese imports, finally. That is great because even though they had a lot of trouble writing tunes, long story, when they did most of them were really good. And they were a pretty good live band. Not overly showy or theatrical but solid. My fav "Ballroom Boogie."

Another on from the past.

She'll only come out at night
The lean and hungry type
Nothing is new, I've seen her here before
Watching and waiting
Ooh, she's seated with you but her eyes are on the door

So many have paid to see
What you think you're getting for free
The woman is wild, a she-cat tamed by the purr of a Jaguar
Money's the matter
If you're in it for love
You ain't gonna get too far

CHORUS:
(Oh here she comes)
Watch out boy she'll chew you up
(Oh here she comes)
She's a maneater
(Oh here she comes)
Watch out boy she'll chew you up
(Oh here she comes)
She's a maneater

I wouldn't if I were you
I know what she can do
She's deadly man, she could really rip your world apart
Mind over matter
Ooh, the beauty is there but a beast is in the heart

CHORUS

Ooh,
Oh here she comes
Here she comes
Watch out boy she'll chew you up
Whoa here she comes
(Watch out)
She's a maneater
Oh here she comes
(She's a maneater)
Ooh, she'll chew you up
(Oh here she comes)
Here she comes, she's a maneater
(Oh here she comes)
(Watch out)
She'll only come out at night, ooh
(Oh here she comes)
Here she comes
She's a maneater
(Oh here she comes)
(She's a maneater)
The woman is wild ooh
(Oh here she comes)
Here she comes
Watch out boy, watch out boy
(Oh here she comes)
Oh, watch out, watch out, watch out, watch out
(Oh here she's comes)
Yeah yeah she's a maneater
(Oh here she comes)
(She's a maneater) She's watching and waiting ooh
(Oh here she comes)
Oh she's a maneater
