mikesb, hahaha, a Baked Beans Concert. I guess that'd have to be a charity-fund-raiser or something!

jazzzzzzy, cool man, yeah things are cool here thanks dude! I would definitely go for the Chrome JS over the 1200. I tried one of the old JS10ths in a shop in london and it sounded so much more lively than most guitars. If you just can't make up the money then go for a JS1000.....I still really don't see the point in getting the JS1200....it's so much more expensive, all just for a different colour, cause you can get that PAF Joe pickup for not-much!

On becoming a stripper to raise funds....er....I'll leave that one up to you! haha

Pitch no 8, no I haven't heard of that! Where can I get it?! I'm guessing it's a bootleg.....what's the quality like?
civgeek, wow, nice photos, Portland is really pretty. I especially like the blossoms and the Portland In The Snow pictures. I love anywhere in the snow really, we never get any where I live. We used to, about 10 years ago, but these days it just rains. You know I am seriously actually tempted to visit portland! I think I might have to plan a big trip for some time in the next couple of years, and come visiting some of you guys! hehe. There's loads of places I want to see in the US, and some I want to see again

slansh - last night I cut the first solo.... I'll try to cut the 2nd tonight.....

when I return the CD how do you want everything....

I can:
1 - mix my solo in for you [but you have a serious 'noise' problem on the backing track that I guess you'll be wanting to gate out]
2 - I can send you the solos on thier own 'dry' so you can eq and add reverb yourself - however you'll need to pretty accurate about how you drop them into the song....

Clarky's recommendation - I send you a version with my solo in it just so you can hear it in it's true setting with reverb and delay added etc....
I'll record a few seconds of backing track with a small gap followed by the dry solo.... this will enable you to align the solo with the real backing track... when you record my solo into the song, you can use editing tools within your recording kit to 'move' the solo until my backing clip matches yours so the solo will then be in the correct place... 'm obviously assuming you have a digital recording setup... if not, at least you have a way of listing to a section of the clip so that you can stop the tape at the next 'beat 1', then play you backing track - reconrding on the tracks where the guitar goes - and then hit the play button of the cd player droping in the solo.. nbot idea but after a few trial runs it can work [I've done this before]... once the solo is in the song you can then erase the alignment clip at the front...
to avoid sync issues.... I'll treat both solos as seperate things... so I can sling a few second of 'backing track' in front of each.... however, I'll just let tape run so if there are no sync issues... the gap between the solos shoud - in theory - be the correct size... but at least you'll be able to mend it if it's not...

however... this is for you and so you have to consider what's the best method to work with your kit.... so if there is another method you'd prefer... shoot...

Clarky:Yeah,It was picked up by the computer when i recorded way back.Your ideas sound perfect. What i,ll do when i get your takes is re-record my parts if i cant edit them. The problem i had was with a fishman single coil on a semi-acoustic,i loved the tone but it picks up dirt from external sources.I have now a humbuck version which although cancels out the noise, has an annoying -6db cut & the strings dont have that ring that a single coil gives. However i,ll work with what sounds best for the track & fair play on your efforts, looking forward t it Paul

To ALL I was thinking about my previous post on the err love bomb,it is in no way shape or form meant t offend anyone on the current horrible state of the Iraq situation or any war!I just figured it might give just give y a laugh, thought i,d better post that b4 i find myself swinging from a cyber tree, lol

Yes Clarky, Clark's baked beans, particularly the variety with chunks o lard and maple extract, do shred my ass.... Kinda like you do lol.

I also find Clark's provide deeper bottom end and more reverb than say Heinz. It is however a question of personal preference!!!

Stevee, aww we need the funk, gotta have some funk. It's a bunch of things (buncha funk) all rolled into one. One of the things is that I'm having the biggest arguement with one of my sisters that I've ever had. She's going through a divorce (her decision, not his) and some health problems (probably due to the suppliments she's taken over the last few years for bodybuilding). I would love to be there to support her now, but she makes it impossible. She's turned into a nasty bully, and I had my fill after a phone conversation (total rage like I've never heard from her before against my family) before Thanksgiving. I later informed her that I will no longer tolerate her behavior or let her talk to me like that ever again. I also told her that the decisions she's made in her life were HER decisions, and she should stop blaming everyone else for them. She re-hee-healy didn't like hearing the truth, especially from her baby sister, so now I'm the outsider because nobody else has the balls to stand up for themselves and tell her she's ever out of line. She's always been a sister I've looked up to, but over the past year, that hasn't held true at all. Her views are distorted, and I just refuse to go with the flow anymore. I'm extremely proud of myself for taking a stand, and I don't regret it for a moment, but it's tough not having my sisters as friends right now. I'm breaking out of the moldy mold and getting my own wings. It's about time, eh? lol! ha! Wishing you didn't ask now, aren't you. lol!

Powerslave, Baduh, I'll get back to you in a bit. I just got a call from my son from school. He forgot his notebook, so now I have to get dressed and go out into the frozen tundra for a stop, drop, and roll. lol! It's 11 degrees, wind chill -7. I needed to wake up anyway. It's actually tropical here compared to Deluth, MN. Frostbite within 5 minutes - aww hell no! lol!

Mowlie Fear not dude.................. if you've had the nerve out of the tooth already it's going to be relatively painless. I've had root canal stuff and then gone back for retreatment and the dude's working on me with no injections, it's cool. (well sort of - lol)

Civgeek I'll look out for that DVD bro'.

Slanshroom Cube's response from the guys said that they'll probably be looking at about 2 years time, but maybe 15,000 - 25,000 copies............... it all helps man. :-)

Michelle That damn sister of yours bothering you again *sigh*................. falling out with your family is real hard, I didn't talk to my parents for 7 years.............. try not to get hardened to it. It's probably better that you stay upset by it, otherwise you'll just be locking the door on your feelings and then it's 'out of site, out of mind'....................... these bust ups are seldom permanent and if she straightens herself out you could always make the first move (only when she has done mind). Apart from that, good on you for standing up for yourself. Gone on give us a smile. ;-) btw - me and my folks get on better than we ever did now.

Ovation Mikey, bro' !! Dude there's something wrong in the world when I'm posting more than you...................... oh yeah, I'm not working...............damn I'd better get on - lol Hope you and the tribe are well man, gotta get round to mailing you soon.

kd6aaj - I almost forgot, to ease the pain of dissappearing posts(especially the long ones) either type your posts in Word and then copt paste or write in th dialog box but Cand P into Word just incase. This way you can check word count and break up the post accordingly and you have a copy incase it doesn't post. Saves a little frustration.

Michelle - I checked out the map again. Looks like hwy 22 is going to be the ticket. When does all the heat and humidity hit you?
