Stevee, she always danced around when asked if she was taking steroids, but when your friggin' voice changes, I'd say it's a dead giveaway. Testosterone and a vat of other shit - probably a couple of hundred dollars a month on suppliments, but that's the game of bodybuilding.
VFR, thanks Paul. I needed a pat on the back. I would love to resolve all this, but she has so many issues with me. It's like she's pissed off at me because I have a stable/great family and a nice home. Lots of jealousy I think (also my mom's take on the situation). It's stuff that goes back many years. She has a great home, and had a fantastic husband, so the jealousy I'll never understand. That's her bag, not mine. I've been there for her since Sept. 01 when her son-in-law died in a car accident. During that time, she was very fragile mentally, and very, very angry. I got in the habit of just letting her vent. Everyone else was giving her a hard time, so I wanted to be the soft spot for her. Welp, that kinda backfired. lol! She came to believe she could say anything to anybody and not care if she hurt their feeling, as long as she felt better. As her bodybuilding progressed, she got worse. She craved(s) attention and is the martyr in the family. Humility has not found it's way to her brain yet. This past year as she was going through her seperation with her husband, she cornered me at every family function and reemed me out for anything and everything. There was really no talking back to her, because she was so incredibly angry she never heard it anyway (hearing only what you wanna hear, knowing only what you heard - Misery loves company). She finally had her most explosive meltdown on the phone with me right before Thanksgiving. I literally thought she was going to have a heart attack or anurysm she was so insanely angry. I just kept saying "calm down!" All this over a friggin turkey coupon! In 40 years I have never heard her be so vicious and venomous. She said some extrmemly nasty stuff about my husband, daughter, and even our mom. Stick a fork in me baby, I'm done! You can say what you want about me, but when you go for my family like that you've gone to far. So, now my theme song for life at this time has become WALK by Pantera. lol! Good therapy session. Your check is in the mail bro. lol!
Civgeek, Mother Nature is a crackhead these days, so you never know when the heat & hum-a-ditty are going to show up. You'll have to play it by ear, but it shouldn't be to bad. Swampass usually hits in July. lol!

I cannot give you a figure for Vol 3 but I can tell you that Vol 2 cost
me about $560.00. The reason why I say me is because if anybody got a
sponsor for the project, half of that money went to knock down the
project costs, and half went to knock down your costs. I didn't get a
sponsor so I paid the highest price. It cost $200.00 to get a sponsor
ad. So $100.00 would be deducted from your costs. You are not limited by
how many sponsors you can have. We might offer more than one size of
sponsorship at different costs if there is interest for that kind of
variety. I will say that we do not ask for any money until all the
details are worked out. Some things might be put to a vote again. Once
the details are worked out, we ask for a nonrefundable deposit which I
have no idea what that amount will be at this time. We had a couple of
guys back out on vol 2 and they lost a $50.00 deposit. It held back the
project 3
months because we extended the deadline which they did not meet, and
then had to find replacements for them which took a while. So the
deposit will definitely be higher next time to weed out people like
this. So we are not going through that again. I will say why we did Vol
2 differently than Vol 1. Vol 1 was 10 guys and we made 1000 cds we
split the costs and cds equally. Most of the guys sold their cds but a
few didn't. So while there are 1000 cds, not all of them got out there.
Not only that, most of them were only sold in each person's locallity.
So while most of the guy's made their money back or even a profit, the
exposure wasn't that great. Don't get me wrong. I think Vol 1 was a
success for what it was but wanted to make a bigger impact for vol 2.
This time, each guy got 100 cds to give out. 8300 will eventually be
distributed directly to a guitar audience. To me and Tom, this is much
more effective promotion. I am assuming you got yours through Guitar9.
There are other compilations on Guitar9. Have you bought any? I don't
think many people will especially with names they don't recognize unless
it is sold really cheap. I doubt anybody has refused the free cd offer
from Guitar9. Tom and I can't think of another way to get the most out
of our money promotion wise. You would go through $560 in less than a
year advertising in Guitar magazines with just a basic listing. On top
of that, less than 10% of most guitar magazine readers are into
instrumental music. We have researched this stuff. So I don't want to
sales pitch you. I just want to let you know what were about and why. So
even if you are not interested, hopefully you will still see this as a
positive thing.

Michelle - I plan to be the hell out of there by July so that's good. I'm a spoiled ass west coast sissy when it comes to weather. No big temp changes and no humidity.
Portland weather update,since the soap saga is over.
After a weekend of daytime temps around 28-30F w/ rain. Yes, it made a little ice. We are back to normal rain and temps around 45-50F. They are saying the rain should let up around September. just in time for back to school shopping.

Michelle......the warning flags should have gone up when I moved up here 13 years ago and saw that (nearly) everyone has an engine block heater installed on their car(s).....now I'm trapped up here until my kids are old enough to fend for themselves...lets see...that'll be around the year 2023...ahhhhhh !!! lol !

Civgeek, you may lick some metal if you so desire today... Like some of the new columns in the engineering building for example!! These days the only thing that excites me in new building construction is the new and interesting ways they are routing cable for controls, telecom and data etc check that stuff out when you visit since in theory a new engineering building should be state of the art in that regard!!!

Somehow I have become a sushi addict over the past year and a half. As I shovelled it in last night while contemplating the typical pictorial place setting I decided that if by some good fortune I was ever to record an instrumental guitar album it would be called "Sushi, The Album" It of course would have cool instrumental tracks like Hamachi, Unagi Kaibashira and of course a short sharp track called "Wasabi". If any of you beat me to the punch give credit where credit is due....
The recording would of course be "raw" live in the studio..
Zen, your album should be called "Stories From/Of the Wood" lol..... "The Pinocchio Suite"

mikesb - As a carpenter for so long I am still facinated by building in most regards. Wiring would not be one of them. I couldn't give a rip how it was done. It just better freakin work!! We are supposed to "state of the art" but we'll see how many corners get cut in the process. The building was ready to go and then steel $ went through the roof so now it's wait and see. The lab that I work in will be all setup because the prof that runs it brings in the scratch. So i'm not too worried. Can't say the same for some of the other labs. I don't think I'll licking any columns though.

i love how all of you band members rocked out during the mystical patato head groove thing jam!!!! do you guys do that when you reherse too?? one of these days you are gonna have to do flips.... just dont crash into jeffs drums haha
specually when jeff is practicing his favorite drum solo's
maybe joe sometimes does a flip when the lights go dim in between jams when no one can see haha!!

Cuth - I haven't confirmed this, but the Dean told us it was because we, as a country, don't produce very much steel anymore. Especially here on the west coast. Therefore we have to purchase it and from there it's in the markets hands. Nothin to do but pony up the chickens and pies. I'm sure there is some connection to the tarrifs.

I hope you are feeling better. I found your latest CD, "STRANGE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC" in my stocking, on Christmas Day. All of the songs on that CD are great, but my favorite song is Sleep Walk! If you ever get a free momemt, there are A bunch of new one's on My homepage. including "rotating sky" which got airplay in a local Berkeley CA. radio station, hosted by George clinton, and Buzzy Linhart! it's a variety Q and A show about the performer's of the past, and the contribiution to america's music. Also a song called "meodic shapes" which incorparates a new tapping style, i was developing! It's very ominous, and written in melencholy, Very forbodding! A very slow piece! the ending is way neat! all small sweep's!

DCK, thanks. I feel a little better getting it off my chest. I cranked some Pantera and got busy cleaning around the house, so my head is a bit clearer now. The sun is out today too. Even though it's freezing outside, it's all good when the sun is shining :)
Civgeek, you're afraid of citrus soap and humidity. I'm starting to worry about you... lmao! As for Winnemucca, you can't get there from here. lol!

When playing games, specifically "Multi-Theft-Auto" you get called a whole host of names when you annihilate someone....the best so far that had me in tears of laughter was when my friend killed some guy with a shotgun and the guy called him a "Dog Slammer"...I was in tears lol...
