"I would be interested to know in what ways you think the passage of such a "bill of rights" would have an impact on father's rights and justice in heterosexual dissolution"
The courts are clearly biased when custody of a child is concerned in a dissolution of marriage. When two parents are stable and caring in a traditional marriage and both want custody usually the court will decide for sole custody for the female while giving visitation to the male. This is discriminitory and unfair. If there were two men or two women in court the blinders of traditional masculine femanine would be removed and a true light of justice could shine.

Ooooftaa !!! It was -28 degrees this morning....had to go out and warm the grocery getter up earlier than usual.
Which reminded me.....around this time last year my fiance and I moved into our place...and it was at least 20 below zero when we did it. I'd take 80 degrees and humid over sub-freezing temps any day !

Zen, I did not mean that EVH himself is vitriolic, the comments by supposed fans on an EVH board would be vitriolic:
vitriolic
adj 1: harsh or corrosive in tone; "an acerbic tone piercing otherwise flowery prose"; "a barrage of acid comments"; "her acrid remarks make her many enemies"; "bitter words"; "blistering criticism"; "caustic jokes about political assassination, talk-show hosts and medical ethics"; "a sulfurous denunciation"
see what I mean??
As for wood, do you or do you not punish and torture your Tele as much as you punish the trees??

Civgeek- "Safety Dance", wow that's a blast from the past! I remember that song, shows how old I am compared to lots of you on here LOL!
Michelle THANKYOU so much! I used to wonder why people didn't move house very often- now I know! Yeah, I hated the part where viewers were coming around, commenting about things in front of you "the kitchen's a bit small" blah blah blah! Good advice about the red wine!!!!!
Not sure how long it'll be until we're online again after tonight, so see you all soon! :-)

I'm proud to say that Joe Satriani is the only site I'm a member of, or participate in...although I do check other sites out!
That may sound like I'm kissing his ass...and you'd be right if you assumed that...cause Joe freekin Satriani deserves it!

SUPAADAVE, i was trying to think of where i heard of virginia minnesota and then i remembered in the early 80's i was on the road with a band from madison wi. and we played a place called the opera house in V.M. in the winter and boy was it cold. the place had rooms above the bar and we stayed and played there for a week. i remember it was a nice club and it had a big stage. is the place still there and operating? we called it the frigid tour because we played houghton mi. then hurley, virginia mn. and then back to madison wi all in january. i was never so cold in my life

Stevee T did you have any luck after my second e-mail to you or your site?? If not e-mail me your address.. Thomas actually posted a revised version of "Groove or Die" by Andy Timmons with a friends guest solo. I prefer Thomas' own solo, the guest sounds like Brett Garsed playing Andy Timmons which is cool but not my own preference for that song.....

Re EVH I wish people would let him do what he wants and leave him in peace. He has done so much, too much in fact, for the world of guitar as we know it.....

Vince Neil prepares to tie the knot
Vince Neil may have sparked the latest FCC controversy for his use of an expletive during Jay Leno's New Year's Eve broadcast - but he's still a family man at heart. The Mötley Crüe frontman is planning to marry his longtime girlfriend, Lia Gerardini, this Sunday in Las Vegas. According to the music industry publication Friday Morning Quarterback, rapper-turned-Reverend MC Hammer will preside over the proceedings. Perhaps in preparation for the their lifetime of domestic bliss, Neil and Gerardini were recently spotted getting tattoos together at a Vegas tattoo parlor.

You know how the mind has a capacity for taking something horrible and burying deep in the recesses of your brain?
"Safety Dance" should've been left there. ;- )
Overcast and miserable here too, but then again we've had a heat wave here lately. The power outage earlier didn't exactly help my disposition when I woke up.

eamon7.....I know there is no "Opera House" in Virginia today. It could have been any number of places on main street....my guess is the "Maco Theatre"...but I don't know how long that place has been around either...I did'nt grow up around here so.....I'll ask my boss this afternoon...he's a born 'n bred northlander. What was the name of the band you were touring with if you don't mind me asking?

I have been a fan since 1987 when I first hear the album Surfing with the Alien. I have only seen two live shows back in early 90's and have turned on many others to the awsome player you are. I received such a cool gift for Christmas from a good friend, the DVD Live from San Fransico. I Need to get out and be at a live gig soon again. I have been a guitar player for quite some time now and have developed my own style of playing, although I always wonder if you still give guitar playing advise or lessons of some type?
Also, ifyou ever want to check out some uniquie guitar effects pedals, you can look at: www.musicalsoundproducts.com for some cool pedals.
Hope you are feeling well after reading you were sick and had to reschedule some shows recently.
