Joe you had me and most of the ppl here terrified. Really glad to know you're feeling better and try to take better care of yourself. Pneumonia wasn't only hard on you!! Later man I'll see if I can catch you somewhere in Europe!

Awsome to hear from you Joe, I'm glad that you are feeling better. It sounds like you have a lot of cool stuff planned for this year. The only thing I ask is that next time you hit the U.S. please come to Washington (state). But good luck with everything.

Big Bad Moon a solo that developed my playing...although not played fast, is the solo to Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters"...I recommend it, its a very nice solo indeed :-)
Take care man, and good luck :-)

Metallica has a lot of easy solos after ...And Justice For All. Fuel, The Memory Remains, Hero Of The Day all easy and can't hurt to know. From the earlier albums For Whom The Bell Tolls is as easy as they come. Good Luck

Hoiguy79 – The conversion that Steve gave you was a bit off. Sorry Steve. There are 2.54 cm per inch. Therefore, 1/32 = .8mm. Good luck with the set up.
Ibanez 89 – You also might look at the
Vox. or http://www.voxamps.co.uk/products/tonelab/tonelab_se.htm
I think they are around 3 grand US. I haven’t tried one But it is the same electronics as the Valvetronic amps and I like those.
NJBeast – WOW!!! Personal lessons from the man. How cool is that?!!
Mikesb – Joe Stump plays on a fully scalloped neck and plays on 8’s.
Steven – Tegratol. EEWWW!! That stuff is nasty. There isn’t one of the newer drugs that you can take? If I were you I would ask the Doc to do a little homework for you. My wife is now on Zonegran. But she has Junior Myoclonic Jerk Seizures. They are a bit more rare. The biggest problem is that they are not localized. Take care Bud.
Damn link!!!

The two shows at the Fillmore seem like a fantastic fever induced dream. Although I could barely breathe, I felt I had to perform as if my life depended on it. Every note was sacred to me. As I played, the tsunami tragedy in South Asia weighed so heavily on my heart.
Joe,
you're such a trooper, i don't know how you did those shows! after reading your letter - it seems to me you have a really big heart :) i can't wait to see you in March! i've been hoping/hopping for this gig since Jan 1997 (when i started listening to Satch)

HELP!
I was just on the point of buying the JS 1000 when I read the news! A new chrome type. Now, because it's a year that I was thinking to buy the js model and I really can't wait anymore here's the question: would it be worth waiting another month? And is this new model going to be like with what pick-ups (the 1000 or the 1200)? What do you think?
Thanks
