Hey Joe, just wanted to give you my "get well soon...we miss you!" I just got back to a computer workstation, so I had to re-register, but it's good to be back.(I was the original Strangebeaut) We can't wait for you to reschedule your show in Phoenix, I NEVER miss you guys. I do miss Stu(tell him that his fans in Phoenix say Hey!), but Matt is a perfect solution. All I time for is a huge Thank You for yet another exploration of the emotion of music. "Is There Love In Space?" is incredible! "Souls of Distortion" has touched me deeply-like the latest "Echo" or "Why". Gotta go! Hope to see you soon!

Chuck(Strangebeaut65) P.S. If possible, could you work the "Jam" portion(at least) of "Holy Night Jam" into a show or live recording sometime? And, as long as I'm asking, how about "Green Grass and High Tides" for an "all together" G3 jam? Maybe? O.K. Thanks again!!

JUJU - That's a lot of scratch for books!! We try to get as many of the web as possible . You can save a bundle. Look for the international editions they are 50 - 75% less than the book stores. I have only spent 250 bucks for the last two qtrs of full time.

Hello Satchland!

After the Christmas break and three days of holiday, I'm here again.
Well...I don't really post very much but I often check the messages out, so I have been reading the posts since my last visit and why not to say, a pleasure, not only for all the cool people's messages over here but because it helps me to keep my English alive ;-)

First of all, I want to express my condolences and prayers and my solidarity to all those affected by the tsunami tragedy. I want to mention some of the first events organized by the music world:

Pop Stars for Victims in Asia: Cliff Richard, Elton John, Jamie Cullum, Boy George, Ronan Keating, Bee Gees...

Some big music stars unite for a charity single to help raise funds for the victims of the Indian Ocean Tsunami. The funds will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), which is co-ordinating the British relief effort, with the idea the day after Boxing Day.

Tsunami Relief Efforts: Willie Nelson headlining a benefit concert

Bruce Robinson, Patty Griffin, Spoon, Joe Ely, Alejandro Escovedo and Kelly Willis and the Geezinslaws are among other musicians scheduled for the "Tsunami Relief Austin to South Asia" concert at the Austin Music Hall this 9th January Sunday night.

Dave Koz Free Benefit Concert to the Tsunami Victims

Free Benefit Concert by Grammy Nominated Saxophonist Dave Koz on Monday, January 10th, 2005 to benefit the Tsunami victims.

Tsunami Benefit Concert feat. Eric Clapton and maybe U2, Gwen Stefani , Elton John , Rod Stewart and Ozzy Osbourne, Sharon Osbourne, Simon Cowell, Coldplay, Tsunami Benefit Concert in Cardiff

More than two-thirds of the tickets for a Live Aid-style concert in Cardiff for the Asian tsunami disaster appeal have been snapped up. Around 40,000 tickets for the 22 January gig at the Millennium Stadium have been snapped up, with 20,000 sold within the first hour on Saturday.

CANADIAN MUSICIANS REACH OUT FOR TSUNAMI VICTIMS:

TORONTO (CP) - In what organizers hope will be an unprecedented fundraising event that will make an international statement of generosity, a live, organizers have put together a live three-hour broadcast event to benefit the victims of the South Asian tsunami disaster.
Canada for Asia will air next 13th January Thursday night in prime time on CBC television and radio, and it will feature a who's who in Canadian music and entertainment. Organizers have also issued a challenge to the country's private broadcasters to simulcast the show, which will include Tom Cochrane, Blue Rodeo, Bryan Adams, Anne Murray, Rush, Molly Johnson, Oscar Peterson, Jann Arden, Barenaked Ladies, Bruce Cockburn and, in a special segment direct from her Las Vegas stage venue, Celine Dion.

GERMAN STARS ROCK FOR ASIA:

Aid events for the victims of the Asian Tsumani's are underway - Australia's telethon concert Saturday night looks devoid of anything melodic, apart from a reformed Noiseworks set to play their classic track Touch. In Germany however, a huge concert planned for January 27 is set to feature Scorpions, Europe, Saxon, Edguy, Bonnie Tyler, Doro, Crystal Ball, Bonfire and more.
Full details (in German) at: www.rock-for-asia.de.

SWEDISH ALL-STARS COMPILING BENEFIT DVD FOR TSUNAMI VICTIMS:

About 150 of the biggest names in rock and hard rock from Sweden have recorded a song that will be released in a couple of weeks on a special DVD to raise money through the Red Cross for the victims of the horrible earthquake and flood disaster in Asia.
This special DVD will include a documentary of how the song was recorded, a music video of the song plus 10-15 never before shown or very rare videos with great bands like Europe, Talisman, Talk Of The Town (Free Like An Eagle), Lions Share, Pain and lots of other great stuff. The song Where is The Fire features Mikkey Dee, Tommy Nilsson, Jan Johansen, Stefan Andersson Thomas Vikstrom, Goran Edman, Matti Alfonsetti, Geir Ronning, Mats Leven, and members from Europe, 220 V,Johansson Brothers, Last Tribe, Lions Share, Lizzy Borden, Locomotive Breath, Madison, Yngwie Malmsteen, John Norum, Nostradameus, Pain, Pathos, Prisoner,Radioactive,Rainmaker, Pete Sanberg, Sayit, Seven Wishes, Sha-boom, Shotgun Messiah, Skintrade, Street Talk, Talisman, and many more... SCREAMING JETS TO LEND A HELPING HAND:

On tour in Brisbane to support the release of their new single Right Place Wrong Time, Australian rock icons THE SCREAMING JETS are taking some time out this weekend to help with the Australia Unites appeal for victims of the Asian tsunami. Preceding the concert and national simulcast on the Triple M network, the guys will be dropping by live on air to encourage the public to donate with an acoustic version of their classic hit Helping Hand on Saturday afternoon. The appeal will be aiding World Vision in their quest to rebuild the shattered villages and lives in Asia and the Jets are proud to lend a helping hand on the day. Donations to the appeal can be made to World Vision on 133 240.

Waveaid, a major concert event with over eight hours of music will be held at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday January 29th from 2.00pm - 10.30pm. Such an unprecedented event has sparked one of Australia's all time favourite live bands into action for the evening as Midnight Oil join in to do their bit as part of this massive Australian music fundraiser. Waveaid will also feature live sets by Powderfinger, whose performance will be on the back of a sold out Hordern Pavilion and the Sydney Big Day Out as well as The John Butler Trio, Kasey Chambers, The Waifs, The Finn Brothers, Missy Higgins, Pete Murray and for their first Australian performance in two years Silverchair. bahduh, hi my friend, how are you? glad to know you are OK, so sorry for the tsunami...As you can see I'm back to the message board. It's really kind of you to miss me even when I'm not a very regular poster here hehe, I'm grateful for that. I love this forum! Sorry to hear about your baby's state of health, keep giving him the best of the cares, although I still have some time to have my own children, I have two nieces and two nephews and I know that babys need you 24 hours a day. I hope to have this weekend a while to write you that mail I have pending...hehe be patient ;-) You can see a picture of me with Joe at the photo section of this site, go to 2004-07-03@La Riviera, Madrid, that's me. See you, best wishes

Michelle, your advice to Mark (bahduh) about his baby is really touching. You seem to be a really wise and loving mum! And thanks for posting that link about the Joe T-Shirts, I love the cyberjoe one.

Powerslave and Chron, do you know a site where I can download that new track of Vai "Yai Yai"? The Guitar World magazine is sold in Spain without the cd :-(

DelfinoPie: Is the "Additional Creations" rare by any chance as I haven't been able to find it...ever...

Additional Creations is the the only piece that is missing in my Joe Satriani collection, what a drap! It has became a very hard piece to find even at ebay, the two last times that was there, I lost the bids in the last seconds! And the average price now is about $40.

Do the Stu, Austin, I'm looking forward to read your San Francisco EWJS review!

brizzyguitar, welcome! you are in the "We Will Rock You" musical, that's great, congrats to you!

Joe, thanks for the post, I share the same feelings that other t2jers have already said, I'm so glad to hear you are better and better, European Summer Festivals??? Perhaps I'm going to choose my holiday destination this summer according to these festivals ;-)

I do enjoy Keith Urban's song writing, singing & guitar playing.

I suppose I'd rather watch a video made by him than say....someone who looked like Elmer Fudd...then again Elmer's quite the debonair gent in his own right! lol

BUILD ME A BRIDGE

A man walking along a California beach was deep in prayer. Suddenly the sky clouded above his head and, in a booming voice, the Lord said, "Because you have TRIED to be faithful to me in all ways, I will send you one miracle."

The man said, "Build a bridge to Hawaii so I can drive over anytime I want." The Lord said, "Your request is very materialistic. Think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking. The supports required to reach the bottom of the Pacific! The concrete and steel it would take! It will nearly exhaust several natural resources. I can do it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for worldly things.

Take a little more time and think of something that would honor and glorify me." The man thought about it for a long time. Finally he said, "Lord, I wish that I could understand my wife. I want to know how she feels inside, what she's thinking when she gives me the silent treatment, why she cries, what she means when she says 'nothing's wrong,' and how I can make a woman truly happy." The Lord replied, "You want two lanes or four on that bridge?"
