Cube has anybody seen do the stu? How wierd was that ? Good news about the JP album, another one for the list. I spoke to Dave on Saturday, actually I woke him up, but it was 08.30am Atlanta time. Seems like he's doing okay, got a 15 yr old guitar student lined up and hopes for some more.

For those of you who dont like the dentist dont read on...

I had to have a filling last week and from the day after I was experiencing really bad toothache so much so that it was giving me a raging headache. Anyway this morning I went back as the pain was too much to bear and especially as I didnt get any sleep last night. I get in the chair and, to cut a long story short, the dentist decided to remove the nerve from my tooth and then to get me to come back next week for root-canal surgery. Oh joy oh joy!!!!

66-Year-Old Romanian Woman Gives Birth

BUCHAREST, Romania - Doctors said a 66-year-old Romanian woman became the world's oldest woman recorded to give birth when she delivered a daughter by cesarean section. The child's twin sister was stillborn, they said.

Romanian doctors at the Giulesti Maternity Hospital in Bucharest said Adriana Iliescu, who was artificially inseminated, delivered her daughter — Eliza Maria — early Sunday.

The child was born more than six weeks short of a full 40-week pregnancy term, a hospital spokeswoman said. The girl weighed just 3.19 pounds, less than half the weight of an average newborn, and was in the intensive care unit but breathing on her own, the spokeswoman said.

Late Sunday, the baby had her first meal_ a few drops of glucose.

"We are happy that the mother and child are normal and we hope this will continue," said Dr. Bogdan Marinescu, who runs the hospital.

Doctors performed the emergency cesarean section after the smaller of Iliescu's twins died in the womb, the spokeswoman said. That child weighed just 1.54 pounds, she said.

"The mother is doing well — she is saying she has been given a new lease of life," the spokeswoman said, reading from a statement.

Iliescu underwent fertility treatment for nine years, including procedures to reverse the effects of menopause, before being artificially inseminated, Marinescu told reporters.

He said he successfully inseminated Iliescu on his first attempt, and that she initially was carrying triplets but lost the third fetus after nine to ten weeks.

Asked why he had let a 66-year-old woman become pregnant, Marinescu said: "She was in the right condition to carry a pregnancy."

There is no law in Romania stipulating a maximum age for artificial insemination, and he declined to comment on ethical questions regarding the pregnancy.

However, Marinescu said he was impressed by Iliescu's faith in God and her determination to have a child. Doctors say the mother and child may be released from the hospital in the next few weeks.

You really cannot go wrong with either though! Vai, and Satch, usually preffer their's a bit firmer, such as the Floyd's, But experiment around, and see what You like the best! The plate trem's are the more sturdy! Good luck, and Hope to here you Rockin' out!

ocps - I've also found that many good acoustic players have a tendancy to pick the strings way too hard which momentarily sharpens the sounding notes... so they sound all out of tune when playing electrics....

hhmm.. write a symphony.... that sounds interesting...
a full metal symphony but one that sticks to stuff like 'sonata form'... now there's a challenge..

my main acoustic is a Washburn D-21... she's lovely...

I have 2 distortion pedals, one I built from a schematic of a modified Marshal Blues-Breaker.

I have a digital delay and an ICe Box chorus.

Just need an amp. The home stereo doesnt quite work as an amp.

I like the sliding notes in Flying, because I have a bad habit of gripping the neck. The left index finger is kinda stiff. The sliding notes force me to let go.

"Let go of your feelings, Luke. Use the Force!"

At age 9 or ten I cut my hand with a hatchet, injuring my left index hand (tendon?) never saw a doctor. finger moved when I moved my thumb. Bar Chords of steel!

Then, at age 25, I sliced the same finger open with pocket knife (thats why they say never use a knife as a pry-bar) that nicked the tendon in my finger joint. Now the finger is better (but not perfect)! Bizzaro. I believe in God! What are the odds? Home do-it-yourself surgery.

As a teen, I had 13's on my acoustic so I could play louder while leading worship in my church youth group. We didn't have a PA for yourh group, so louder strings seemed important.

Bar chords were tough at first, but after a while, I could open a can like Pop-eye. Not anymore, electrical work fixed that. Too much shoveling and abusing my wrists with hammering, and crimping wires.

When I finish my apprenticeship, I want to get a safer job. My hand are too valuable! Maybe a job fixing computers or guitars?

I could never quit playing guitar now!

Any advice from anyone is welcome!
