I just came back from a cruise with my mom and if I would not had my CD player and "my Joe" I don't know if I would have made it off the ship still sain. Ya'll rock me to sleep every night. CHEESE101- Tracie, Thank You, with all the cool vibes, and goodwill's, It was hard to be unhappy! Yes, it was very neat to rip off- i mean reel off a few cool riff's! It's odd, But, I felt bad playing the blues, because, i am so happy, and goofy. But, I did have a very Sad, Childhood. And so maybe there are deeprooted blues, and saddness, and tears. I do cry a lot, despite My happiness? Hmm, People have said, I have some "tasty and emotional Blues lick's" more Hmmmm? Oh well, I will give it My all at whatever! Thank You alway's for the kindess! and Nice word's!..............................Jazzzzzy- Right on bro' it's good to see Your doing really great, Been in My prayers as alway's! Alway's double cheer's, for letting Your goal's, and aspiration's, come ahead of all the temptating Partie's! Your gonna' Prosper! Trust Me! Hang in there! And thank so You so Much for Liking My tunes! That really makes Me happy! Because You really can play! talk to you later!

mikesb,

hee, hee I guess a look a little like PRS....pretty soon, I'm gonna look like an JS Chromeboy......

www.stevetrott.com

You hear about the PRS 12 String, it's about 3 grand & suppose to play like a lead guitar...real low action & the intonation probs inherent of Ric are not an issue.

I guess some "Just for Men" hair color might wash that grey away...hee, hee!

Joe, Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know my son(age 15) my wife (age 34) and myself all think you are the guitar god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the reason for my question I wish to start playing guitar again at the age of 43, don't have a bunch of freed-up cash, and was wondering what you thought about learning on an acoustic versus electric guitar. To be honest, all I am really into is ass-kickin electric guitar, but I was wondering if you feel any advantage to learning on an acoustic. Won't keep you any longer. Any enlightment you could give on my dilema would be taken as the gospel truth to one of your devoted fans. Keep up the ass-kickin licks, and we will keep enjoying and purchasing your tunes. Your devoted fan, Gary Arnold- p.s. Do you happen to ride a motorcycle?? That would just be too cool!

Mikesb - Return to France???? Don't you live in France West?

962 - Pictures of Portland

Well the end of another holiday weekend. Back to school tomorrow. But as we reflect on why some of us had this day off I leave you with this...

I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed --- "We hold these these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a desert state sweltering with the heat of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day the state of Alabama, whose governor's lips are presently dripping with the words of interposition and nullification, will be transformed into a situation where little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls and walk together as sisters and brothers.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, and rough places will be made plains, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together. This is our hope. This is the faith with which I return to the south. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.

This will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with a new meaning "My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrim's pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring."

And if America is to be a great nation this must come true. So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania.

Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Rockies of Colorado.

Let freedom ring from the curvaceous peaks of California.

But not only that --- let freedom ring from Stone Mountain in Georgia.

Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee.

Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi. From every mountainside, let freedom ring.

When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual,

Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!

Hi peeps. I didn't realize it's been almost a week from where I left off!

Geezuz man, I'm watching the BBC World news and they're showing people in Chile running for their lives because of a tsunami RUMOR! May God forgive the stupid bastards responsible for starting/not stopping the rumor. That's sooo messed up.

Damn, I'm in such a funk. Ya know how you have one thing going on, then another thing happens, and the shit just keeps piling up? I'm there dude. Nothing major. My family is fine and there's no impending doom. It's just something trying to pull me under. Just a temporary funk, not unlike any other I've had. Good times, bad times. lol! Great name for a song, eh? Shit man, I even found myself watching The Batchlorette tonight! That's not right! lol!

So anyways, who's rooting for the EAGLES & STEELERS going to the Superbowl? Let's see a show of hands :)

SupaaDave, did you see the next episode of the Surreal Life yet? They tell Vern he was naked and pissed in the corner, and he says "cool". LMAO! Ha! How bout NOT!! lol! You and JAZZY need to stay warm over there in MN. That's crazy cold man! I don't think I could deal with temps like that. We've been lucky so far, but the cold is hitting us now. Thank you Canada *she said sarcastically*.

Jazzy, glad you're in a new place and doing better. Living with messy people is one thing, but living with pigs is just to much. Best wishes to ya honey!

Civgeek, what's between Pittsburg and Reading? Besides 260 miles - http://www.cftech.com/BrainBank/GEOGRAPHY/Pennsylvania.html I've been as far as Gettysburg I think. lol! It's all unknown frontier to me. lol!

Steven, so glad to see you posting again. Sorry to hear you had a bad episode. Man that sucks! I hope your body heals itself more each day. We all have our best vibes going out to ya bro. Hang tough!

Austin, thanks for answering so quickly. Glad all is well.

Alex, I'll send you a photo once I get your picture in a frame and get it placed.

633 posts/26 pages to go. I posted all this from memory from scanning all week. lol!

JOE, I hope you're feeling well again and on your way to a complete recovery.

VFR, Slan, Baduh, Tracie, Suzie, Mari, Benny, mikesb, Simon, Stevee, DCK, Marty, Powerslave, Stacy, long lost Mikey, and all my peeps - hope you're all doing well.

SOTD - Down, Down, Down by Joe Satriani

Anybody hear from Graham (Stu clone) lately?

Matt, thanks for posting that! I was going to post it earlier, but it slipped my mind. He was a great man and should be remembered everyday, not just today. Bless ya bro!

Hi all!

Bahduh: hope you had a great day, and the family is well (or better). My Nan had her birthday on Sunday (she is 80-something) and lost her sunglasses, which she needs to stop her eyes weeping. I went looking for her and returned them a couple of hours ago. She was very pleased!

Teen girl squad in Battle of the Bands!

Gotta go and pick up a quad and amp. Later, BEN

Howdy to everyone....took my first real guitar lesson yesterday. After years of just noodling around from time to time, I've decided to get serious about it. I think I learned more about music theory in 30 min than I ever did before.

I *love* it :D

I've never played any of the Floyd offshoot bridge systems. But I despise changing strings on a Floyd. Takes forever. HATE it. Then again, I don't think I would want one of the newer Floyds....I actually want a headstock with tuners just in case. ;-)

Tangent: a friend of mine had some Creative Labs PC speakers.....sounded 100 x better than the little Polk Audio speakers I have. And then another friend recommended some Bose PC speakers. Anyone have any opinions on optimizing CD playback on a PC?

Michelle....I know how ya feel. Ever seem like things you're interested in kinda take priority in cycles? For example....you'll really get into music for awhile....then maybe go on a book, movie, or game kick before your interests cycle around again? BTW, I will say that even though it takes forever to drive through PA up to NY, it has the best rest areas of any state I've been to. : P

mikesb, hahaha, a Baked Beans Concert. I guess that'd have to be a charity-fund-raiser or something!

jazzzzzzy, cool man, yeah things are cool here thanks dude! I would definitely go for the Chrome JS over the 1200. I tried one of the old JS10ths in a shop in london and it sounded so much more lively than most guitars. If you just can't make up the money then go for a JS1000.....I still really don't see the point in getting the JS1200....it's so much more expensive, all just for a different colour, cause you can get that PAF Joe pickup for not-much!

On becoming a stripper to raise funds....er....I'll leave that one up to you! haha

Pitch no 8, no I haven't heard of that! Where can I get it?! I'm guessing it's a bootleg.....what's the quality like?
civgeek, wow, nice photos, Portland is really pretty. I especially like the blossoms and the Portland In The Snow pictures. I love anywhere in the snow really, we never get any where I live. We used to, about 10 years ago, but these days it just rains. You know I am seriously actually tempted to visit portland! I think I might have to plan a big trip for some time in the next couple of years, and come visiting some of you guys! hehe. There's loads of places I want to see in the US, and some I want to see again
