Stevee T, Larry Holmes was (now imagine my best Howard Cosell imitation) "The undefeated champion from Pennsylvania, The Easton Assassin, Mr.Larry Holmes"

Re bag on head, I thought that was after a "Jets" game???

". I know I’m probably the only one here who doesn't know what is, but take into consideration, I've only been playing guitar for a little over a yr. What is this NAMM show everyone has been talking about. I'm completely clueless."

The NAMM fest is collective of people just like us Click there and it will give you a world of info. I used to go every year when I was with Washburn. That’s why my original name here on T2J was DAMIMISSNAMM.

Anyway...........

NAMM is also where Joe can take a barometer of where his audience is i.e..... a show of HANDS IN THE AIR.

ALL I can say is that the first two apartments I had were carpeted thanks to the NAMM fest!

Hay big bad moon 1889, my advice is starting out slow then gradualy getting faster... if you try and rush it... the song is going to be sloppy... learning the song slow is frustrating and boaring... but the end results are awsom... not only can you play the song fast... but you can play it musicly at pritty much any tempo... also i would recomend practacing minor and major penatonics slowly... then get faster...

I hope this helps...

Socrates WAS a wise man:

THE “TRIPLE” FILTER TEST In ancient Greece, the scholar and intellectual, Dr. Socrates was reputed to hold knowledge in high esteem. One day an acquaintance met the great philosopher and said, "Do you know what I just heard about one of your friends?" "Hold on a minute," Dr. Socrates replied. "Before telling me anything I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called the Triple Filter Test." "Triple filter?" asked the man. "That's right," Dr. Socrates continued. "Before you talk to me about my friend, it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you're going to say. That's why I call it the triple filter test. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?" "No," the man said, "actually I just heard about it and wanted to tell it to you" "All right," said Socrates. "So you don't really know if it's true or not. Now let's try the second filter, the filter of goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?" "No, on the contrary, it is bad” "So," Socrates continued, "you want to tell me something bad about him, but you're not certain it's true. You may still pass the test though, because there's one filter left: the filter of usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?" "No, not really." Replied the man. "Well," concluded Dr. Socrates, "if what you want to tell me is neither true, nor good, and nor even useful to me, why tell it to me at all”!! A Passing Thought: An arrow which has left the bow and killed an innocent soul, and a spoken-word which has come out of your mouth and hurt someone's heart, both can never be recalled.

962 - That concert was shown on TV, so it's a pro recording. I'm kinda pissed about it, because I didn't record it back then, yeah, I missed it. I bought it on tape after from a "bootlegger", but of course the quality it's pretty bad. Anyway, Eric plays three songs - don't know the first one, SRV is next followed by Cliffs of Dover with an amazing improv intro. On the bill Koko Taylor is next and Buddy Guy closing. I wish they release it on DVD...

Clarky - Would "1664" fit the theme of your CD? I would seriously consider it.

Zenfish - Have you seen this movie: The Cook, The Thief, His Wife And Her Lover ? I think it's an english-french co-production.

I wonder if CLARKY has seen it...

Hey guys....

Just wondering if anyone has had experiences with Iriver audio player/jukebox devices? Should be getting one in the post (along with a nice microphone). I'm looking forward to being able to record all my playing, lectures and weirdness for posterity's sake.

So what is your point? Socrates (I believe) was trying to say "One must put up barriers to keep one's self intact" (Neil Peart Limelight) Protect yourself for there are plenty-o liberal souls out there that would like to take what is yours., be it monetary, emotionally or physically.

I had something happen to me last nite I never had happen before. I turned my amp on, and I heard voices coming from it. For a while I actually thought it was either possessed, or something.LOL (too many Ghost Hunter shows) Then after a bit, I remembered Satch saying the begining voices in "Flying in a Blue Dream" occured the same way

PAF Joe vs. PAF Pro.

Discuss.

Questions:

Why do the JS100's have a "Joe Satriani" while the other model's dont?

Why do the JS2000's have a locking nut while the bridge doesnt float?

Why are JS guitars so minimal in its color scheme while the Vai guitars seem to have elaborate colors?

Why do the JS100's have 2 different colors on the Ibanez website while the high end models only come in one color?

The JS100 is around 500 dollars less than the JS1000. Why? Dimarzio pickups (PAF Pro and Fred) cost around 60 bucks each, and the average price to install the pickups is around 80 dollars.

500 dollars > 200 dollars

"Filler" volume pots? Is that even taken into consideration?

Multi-radius Prestige neck (JS1000, JS1200, and JS2000) is an exact digital rendering of the neck on Joe's favorite axe.

?

Then why does the JS100 have the "JS" neck while the others have the "Prestige" neck? Are the 1000, 1200 and 2000 shaped like Joe's biological neck?

Edge Pro Vs. Edge Pro II bridge?

Why dont the JS guitars come with a replica of Joe's hat?

grrrrr.

Jazzy, nice chops!

Stevee, and heavy it is! lol!

Speaking of Larry Holmes being from PA, back in the 70's my dad used to occasionally see Mohamed Ali jogging down route 60 when he was at a Deer Lake training camp back in the 70's. I was young, so I don't remember to much about it. Not very imformative, am I? lol! Anyways, he was in PA a lot too.

thanks zINc, michelle, steven. later!

I’m so tired, I haven’t slept a wink, I’m so tired, my mind is on the blink. I wonder should I get up and fix myself a drink. No, no, no. I’m so tired I don’t know what to do. I’m so tired my mind is set on you. I wonder should I call you but I know what you’d do. You’d say I’m putting you on. But it’s no joke, it’s doing me harm. You know I can’t sleep, I can’t stop my brain You know it’s three weeks, I’m going insane. You know I’d give you everything I’ve got For a little peace of mind. I’m so tired, I’m feeling so upset Although I’m so tired I’ll have another cigarette And curse Sir Walter Raleigh. He was such a stupid git.
