Happy thursday Satchland !!

Does anyone know where I can get parts for my Lo TRS II trem? Rich Harris won't touch TRS parts with a ten foot pole ! I lost my trem arm a little while back and I'm not having much luck finding a replacement. Peace, SD

Hey Joe, glad to hear you're feeling better. I missed the opprtunity to see you play in Phoenix last december because of your pneumonia. I'm looking forward to april 6th. I've been listening to your music since 1988 but never had the chance to see you live. Hopefully you don't get sick after your new-zealand tour.

I've been saving up cash to buy an ibanez which was my first ever guitar, an old roadstar series-2 if that means anything to you. I think owning a JS will be my way to show my respect and admiration for your musical talent and creativity.

See you in Phoenix Joe, Take care

Almost Amateur, Im not sure how expensive your guitar is but if you don't mind whackin' it a bit I have a few whammy tips that might help you sound more like SATCH... First you can try pullin up on the whammy bar instead of pushin' down all the time.........this souds kinda weird but it's cool, very Steve Vai..Also you can try hittin' the whammy with harmonics..try playin' a solid harmonic and then doing some whammy action on that harmonic, make a steady rythm with the whammy kinda' like a manual wah wah.like this hit the harmonic, let it ring for a sec, then strike the whammy bar, push it once rapidly then let it go, wait a sec then repeat the same action, do this until you lose sustain on your harmonic. Also my fave exercise for the whammy bar is to take some old strings put them on your guitar if they are not already on, then tighten them as tight as they go without breakin', then sit back on your sofa watch some t.v. and keep pumpin' the whammy with your right hand until the strings break.......It's like jackin' off your whammy bar, keep on tightening up the strings as they loosen...this can get hard on the hand and arm but the pain eventually goes, and so does the need to practice.thanks..peace.

Namm Man - Yes, the mistake was intentional, but you know that now... let's paint the mirror black. Which one is your favorite Rush album, if I may? How do you like Vapor Trails ? The radio stations didn't pick it up at all (where I live anyways).

Clarky -

I beg your pardon Sir, LOL How are you? OK , you asked Hadley the right question. I should have too. He needs to understand what's going on there before we give him all on a platter. He's all yours now.

mikesb:I,ve not,i,ve heard plenty about Mr Stevens though & its all been good i,m about due t buy some cds, recon it should be in the basket?I used t jam with a wicked flamenco guitarist here b4 he & his wife left for France, clean electric guitar fitted perfect alongside the sound, although my comping lacked substance in comparison t his, something i,m acutely aware of now & studying, was an amazing experience t play with a musician/guitarist so good.

AlexandreCaetano:http://www.sevenbrassmonkeys.com/Roy.htm,should have an mp3 of C-prelude & the Gypsy Airs up later this morn, not slept for 2 days for editing, not bad for a first mix, could be better,man..... how many times have i said that, lol, but i,m sick of it,think i,ll leave it the way it is & move on.Stay good bro & good luck with your own work.must sleep zzzzzzzzzzz

290 posts behind. Shit man?

Any of you old pharts (JOE included) remember this...it's plucked from the middle of the song -

I wanna scream, I want you all to know I would be runnin' but my feets are too slow Young man really got a hold on it too I got the Rockin' Pneumonia And The Boogie Woogie Flu.

I've had that song in my head for a few days now. Blame it on Joe. lol! I went to cduniverse to hear a clip of it. Found a clip by the Grateful Dead. Man, that is one mellow cool band that takes me back to the daze long past in bong heaven. Do sober people actually listen to the Dead? I stopped smoking 16 years ago, but when I hear the Dead, I'm there dude! lol! I'm not even a DeadHead, it's just the vibe of the band. lol! I don't remember who sang the original. Anybody know?

Steven, happy birthday honey! Hope you're feeling better soon my friend.

night peeps!

CLarky: I hear you on the music library haha! But you can see where it would come in handy for composers...I mean, if you get hired to do a composing job, you can pocket much more money instead of hiring an actual orchestra. Definitely pays for itself in that situaton.....hey idea: why don't you find an excuse to write a symphony to pay for the music library haha! About the acoustic versus electric...your sentiments are definitely right on. I'd have to say that my opinion is that many technical acoustic players have trouble playing electric cleanly, because string damping is not such a major neccesity (hell, bluesgrass players hardly even use their right hand palms to mute at all) conversely, many shredders have trouble on acoustics, because they favor tons of pick angle to speed up their picking, while at the same time hurting the fundamental tone of the string. But yes, these comparisons are also silly. "On second thought, let us not go to Camelot...it is a silly place."

Stevee T, yeah it's probably secret in some way, and the ibanez guys just found themselves enjoying the rare opportunity to tell someone they couldn't share such information, so they milked it. It'll be interesting to see when the new Chrome JS does get unveiled!
alexandre, hey thanks for the birthday wishes bro! I'm 21! Thanks also for checking out the new tunes, and for your feedback. yeah I will, eventually, properly produce them.....like, go to a studio for a couple of days, you know. before I do that I need to work on the tracks I like, and work on the guitar solos for most of them cause I can't just improvise when recording it properly! hehe. Thanks again amigo! kind regards :-)
DCK, excellent, thanks a lot for checking that out, I really appreciate that! Did you tell 'em you were checkin it out for someone else? What did you think of it in general? Do you like it?
Leanna, good to see you back here! happy new year!
bahduh, sorry to hear about the general unrest bro....hope your son makes a rapid recovery, this is not a good time of year to be really unwell. Also, yeah, I will do, and you let me know if you hear anything too!
