Good morning, Joe! I just received the Live In San Francisco dvd. I watched some of it last night with my 14-year-old daughter, Laekyn. I told her I am addicted to your music, but cannot go to your concerts in CA this year. I am hoping you will come closer to my area (Alabama). If not, I will watch the dvd anytime. I hope you do not terminate the premium packages. I did not know about them when I attended the G3 '03 and House of Blues/New Orleans '04 concerts. That is my dream: to meet you.

HI BIGBUNNY
How are you? I have only been on this website since Tuesday 25th and I read your message about the sharks and the dolphins story form Tuesday and thought it was a really good read! I found it interesting. Also I noticed that you are a singer which interested me because I would like to try singing and just wondered if it is possible to train your voice through lessons or would it be better if i had a fairly good voice anyway? Does that make sense? Oh yeah and do you still have copies of the joe satriani interview you were talking about please
take care

HEY JOE
red27 here again I am really pleased that you are feeling a lot better now, keep up the good recovery!
I have just seen your DVD live in San Francisco and it is absolutely awsome, My wife bought it for me for my birthday yesterday.I particularly enjoyed the little intro bit you played before rubina, so much so that I picked up my guitar and started to work out how to play it After a lot of pausing in various places and winding back etc i think i have worked it out. I loved watching friends being played live too.
You are an inspiration
all the best

The movie will begin in five moments, the mindless voice announced, All those unstead will await the next show.
We filed slowly, languidly into the hall. The auditorium was vast and silent. As we seated and were darkened, the voice continued:
The program for this evening is not new, You've seen this entertainment through and through, You've seen your birth, your life and your death, You might recall of the rest. Did you have a good world when you died? Enough to base a movie on?
I'm getting out of here!
Where are you going?
To the other side of morning.
Please don't chase the clouds, Padogas.
(Her cunt gripped him like a warm, friendly hand.)
It's all right, all your friends are here.
When can i meet them?
After you've EATEN.
I'm not hungry.
Uh, we meant BEATEN.
Silver stream, silvery scream OOOOOOh, impossible concentration.

Yoda - I got the album... so far I've only had a chance to listen to the first few seconds of the first few song - just to get the vibe - and it sounds very nice.....
I'm looking foreward to checking this out in detail.....
and obviously set the amp to stun..
Learning the DC stuff will be a little of both... I'll take you through some of it and some you'll just have to work out... the hard part is not playing the music [appart from the occasional tricky moment], it's more the forms.... figuring out where you are after 11 bar of 13/16 and knowing what comes next... it's not often all that logical...
steevet - things are getting busy for me.... work is ramping up again.... I'm trying to spend more time in the gym [to prep for the tour] and I still need to work on the DC tunes...
last night I played the DC set and scored an overall B -... lol..
there was only one serious screw up... and there were a few minor ones that I may have got away with one stage...
so little by little... it's improving..
mikey - interesting choice of pickups on that JEM.... Breeds.... less edgey and punchy than the Evo....
I may be wrong but I was under the impression that Breeds are sort of PAF PRO-ish... kinda warm and full bodied...
That JEM77 - Vai has always hit me with his sense of originality... his music... his approach... Floral guitars... etc etc....
so why go chrome when it was done 'partially' wih the JEM 10th... and fully on the Chrome Boy....
I'd expect the next Vai signature model to turn left where everyone else turns right..... and be cooler then everyone else in doing so...
so I find this chrome JEM77 a little odd in it's conception..
Delfino - I love the Hybrids....
on Lust I'm using the heavier ones - Skinny Tops, Heavy Bottoms [10 - 11 combination]... but she is tuned down a tone to D so the tension is similar... just a shade on the slack side though...

Hi everyone-
I'm working on the arpeggio in "Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing". I have the "Flying In A Blue Dream" tab book from Cherry Lane Music. The arp from the tab sounds right but I just want to make sure. When I slow down Joe's performance from the CD it's not clear(little garbled) 'cause Joe plays this so fast. Can anyone verify this ? Also, Joe was debuting a Ibanez Chome Boy model at the Namm show. I emailed Ibanez for the price and availability about two weeks ago and haven't heard from them. Anybody have any info? Joe if you read this maybe you could answer the question for all of us.
Thanks,
Keniko

Joe, I was hanging out at the drop zone wearing a Satch T-shirt. Me and a few friends were discussing you. I heard you have flown the GulfStream. My husband and I would like to know: what's it like and have you completed your flight training? My husband is a pilot~

Hello all,
I'm having some trouble with the lead of "Flying In A Blue Dream".
I am right hand tapping the 7th fret and using hammer-on/pull-offs for the other strings.
Tapping high E fret 7, ring finger on fret 5, pull-off to index finger on fret 3. Slide note is ok. Now on B string, simple.
G string is more difficult, now 4 frets involved with a hop back to B5 , back to G-7,5, then D-7,5,4,7, then G-5,4,2
Problem is around the A and D strings. Is there any picking here, or still just h/p with taps. Does any one else here tap like me, or just pick and hammer?
(edited for errors)

DelfinoPie,
Indiana Joe & the Lost...Hamm...haha...that's a good one, or maybe "SuperJoe" with a big "S" on the chest of his chrome outfit & cape! Maybe too blase'!
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Zenfish, I'm sure we can Hash things out...hee, hee...and yes, I saw the Stratacoustic in Manny's in NYC several days ago...I wanted to pick her up & try her, but I didn't have the time...next week I'll make the time!
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Clarky,
So when does the Tour start, and what's it's duration...where will it take you?
I agree with you about Vai going in the chrome direction...why do it if Joe's already known for it...the student following the teacher? I like VAI's DNA...reeeal Trippy!
