Lawd, I'm 454 posts behind again! I'm armed with wasabi peas and a vodka and cranberry. Lets see how far I get...

Steven, I'm doing okay, thanks for asking. Had a few low points today though. One of my very dear friend had to put their 17 year old kitty to sleep. They're like children you know. Also fell apart after reading some Dimebag stuff. Had some good stuff happen today too, so it's a balance. Also, my wasabi and my vodka, they comfort me. lol! Throw a Cheez-It or two in there every now and then and I'm a happy camper. Go EAGLES!

*short break to watch M. Manson on MAD TV :) Cool! Glow in the dark eyelashes, contacts, and teef. Can't find that everywhere. They Rock!

Jazzy, since I'm catching up on Tuesdays posts yet, another hearty FU for putting my hopes up with Sully & Joe. lmao! You friggin badger lovin' Wisconsinite!

Tracie, thanks for soaking up some sunshine for me. It was sunny for two days, but now it's snowing again. It's not supposed to add up to much, so I won't start a bitchfest ...yet. lol!

Suzie, it's snowing again now. The last few days were kinda nice. Very cold, but nice. I even had my window down a bit on my way to work one day whilst cranking Pantera at speaker blowing level. Not the smartest thing to do, but it's my way of decompressing from the world. I was happy as hell by the time I got to work. lol!

Bahduh, "michele...yu are always pages behind...why are yu so busy....... " Mark, I've made up my mind not to be a slave to my computer anymore. If I have something else to do, I do it. The main time I have to catch up on my computer stuff is now - after 11:00 p.m. I've made up my mind to put my family first, myself second, and the computer somewhere down the list of things to do. I wind up being on the computer playing catch up with T2J & emails until after 1:00 a.m., then I have to wake up at 6:45 with the kids. If I have the energy, I post in the morning. If not, and I don't get around to it later in the day, it'll all be here when I finally get around to it. I do miss being in the mix all the time, but I just don't have the energy for it right now.

civgeek, I forwarded the bat article to my daughter :)

Delfino, " think one day my nads will stop hiding...but until then I will be talking like I've inhaled a lot of helium..." Well, that was Thursday. This is Saturday, errr Sunday. Have your nuts returned yet? LMAO!!!

AngieReed, I'm from eastern PA, closer to Reading than Philly.

Stevee, "I think michelle is from some hockey team in PA...or somethin' lol. only kidding, michelle IS the BEST! Peace, Love & Happiness! " You're tooo funny! Thanks for the "best" boost :)

Benny, another spider story. No wonder you wear socks with your sandals. lmao! I would too!

Powerslave, thanks so much for mentioning the March Guitar World mag. I went out today and remembered your post, so I went looking for it. I couldn't find it, but my husbands eye was better than mine. Last one on the shelf too! The first thing I read was the "Funeral For A Friend" article. I was brought to tears. I almost couldn't read any farther when I got to the part that the guitar that was put with him was Eddie's black & yellow original. Sad, sad stuff! It was really cool to see him on the cd with the Krank folks. I've never heard him talk before. No doubt he's a Texan. lol! Anyways, thanks for the heads up on that. It's a keeper for sure.

1:00 a.m. and 84 posts to go. Tomorrow's another day.

Michelle: I'm glad you got a copy. I'd never really heard his voice either until I played the CD-ROM. I think he enjoyed himself ;-). I'm glad I reminded you to get the magazine, but pleaze don't cry......I'm a sucker for a crying lady.

MariMari: Glad to hear about your NAMM adventure, but that sucks you didn't get to talk to Joe there. That must be really disappointing. Take any good pictures while you were there?

Listening to "The Greater of Two Evils" by Anthrax. My God, this CD kicks metric boatloads of ass. RUN out and get it.

My favorite guitar player is Joe Satriani. I was first introduced to his music back in 1987 by a friend. It was Not of this earth and I was so floored. I was just beginning to play guitar and he inspired me to fin dnew ways to express myself on my guitar. After all these years, I have to say that Joe is STILL my fav. I have finally recorded my own album with my band SKAVENGER. You can hear some Joe in the songs.....thanks for inspiration Joe! You got style Bro!

If you like Skid Row, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, Kiss, Pink Floyd, Motley Crue, Skid Row, Van Halen, Tesla, etc., then check out our new band - SKAVENGER!

We've already had a #1 song on the Soundclick.com alternative metal charts.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks!

marimariSRV, selling my jem? honey....it's gone! hehe, sorry :-) It went around October/November time and got replaced by the SA1260 which, believe it or not, was a very good decision! sure I'll send you both the black and white versions of the "Edges" photos. oh, and you're so lucky, bagging one of those autographed CD's! Thanks for the photos, I'm checking them now!
Delfino, good to hear you had a cool day, sorry to hear about the assholes at the chinese tho! What was Team America like?
Steven Wilde, good news on the new guitar amigo! And the difference a contoured body makes is surprising, isn't it?! My SA1260 isn't as contoured and thin as an S series, but it's a lot softer then the RG and rounded across the top, and it makes a massive difference! keep on rockin dude, enjoy your new toy!

Michelle Oh yes, my testeclats have returned to sack county...lets hope I never have to see that kinda thing ever again lol...thanks for asking lol....

Steven Wilde Hehehe dont worry I'm saving my money for guitars and university and so on. Beer can wait for now. That song should be finished by today...but I'm going to be annoying and release it tomorrow lol...

Zenfish...good morning!

Joe Satriani is the greatest single rock guitarist that ever lived.

Maybe, Jimi Hendrix....if he had lived longer would have kept the title (in my opinion), but Joe has easily surpassed him. I can, and do listen to Joe all day long some days, but Jimi's music for me needs to be listened to in doses.

EVH...I agree that both solos on "Jump" & "Beat It" are...by guitarist's standards, not his best work. To many people that's all they know of EVH...maybe Pretty Woman.

Peace!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

BigBunny....the frozen Moo I was refering to was what type of Ice Cream you were enjoying?

Zenfish,

Are we going to see your art posted on slanshroom's site?

There are many great guitarists, and many more to come, Hendrix was one the first majors...there's some anger & frustration in his music which I embrace & relate to..., but overall, I prefer Joe's Zen-like approach to life....Peace Zenbender

Zen Quote------

Yearning for friends in my rocky cave, I am captivated by the singing of small birds; The wind entering deep into the grotto Mingles with the voice of the stream. Awakening from a dream, This hermit exists beyond the world. A quiet life, off by myself, Fulfills my spirit.

- Fugai Ekun (1568-1654)

Is there a specific way of cleaning strings that brings them out in that "just bought" shine?
