Jazzzzy - I don't know if the classical guitar ? was serious but I will answer it as such. Basically there are know knobs because it is not meant to be played standing up. The position for classical guitar is sitting with the guitar between your legs with the foot that is on your fret-hand side on a footrest. This puts your hand, especially your fret-hand, in the most erganomical position. You can get a strap that has a plastic hook on the end that hooks onto the soundhole. Enjoy the snow.

962:No, I don't have that one. It'll have to go on the CD Wanted List.....which is about as long as Godzilla's arm.
Congrats to the Eagles....now if the Steelers can just beat the much, much, much hated Patriots. No offense, Mikey-san ;-). I haven't forgotten the ex-con on the snowblower field goal incident against Miami years ago. Me bitter? Nah!
I'm sure most people here remember Austin's favorite song poll. I've been thinking about my favorite Satch album. I could make strong cases for both SWTA and FIABD, but damned if there isn't a weak song on Crystal Planet. Not one. And it flows so well.
That's my vote.

Joe,
Nice to see you were feeling better and were able to make the NAMM. It was awesome...you had quite a line at Peavey and Ibanez! I'm still having trouble with that part of "Searching" even after you explained it to me! I got the whammy part...it's the other wild twisting swirling part (that description doesn't do it justice...sorry.) I suppose I'll have to wait until the Phoenix show and maybe I'll write it down or something. Hopefully the platinum backstage experience will give fans like me a few minutes to chat. I didn't even get a picture with ya at the NAMM because I felt bad so many people were waiting patiently. Anyway, good luck and good health to you in 2005. Oh yeah, I really dig the new JSX combo...sounds real rich and screams too! Does the new Ibanez Chrome prototype have the same problem with the chrome finish peeling off? I tried to address that with Ibanez at the NAMM, and the "guitar guy" was out to lunch, and nobody else knew!? You would think "Ibanez" would have a little more knowledgeable representation at the NAMM for a guitar listing up around 5 G's!! take care, Mattriani

Thanks Death. Means alot to me... seriously it does. It's in the begining stages, not sure how the song will turn out. Its a bit boring as far as the drums, I may add a few fills/changes in the song, and arrange it to become a real song....Glad you liked it :-)

Man, the Steelers got spanked!
When I said I wanted a PA sweep, I guess I should have been more specific and spelled out Pennsylvania. Now we have the PA Philly Eagles and the PA-triots. Damn! lol!
Mikey, congrats to you. I'm just happy the Eagles won...FINALLY!!
Jazzy, I work with a 50 year old woman who is obsessed with Barry Manilow. I have to hear his name every single day I work with her. It's not a healthy obsession, it's the "I'm going to be Mrs Barry Manilow" insane kind. She calls the fan hotline almost every day to talk to her new friend "Vicky", who she insists has contact with Barry every day. She has this number programmed into her cell phone. If you were to change your name to Barry Manilow again, I'd have to give her your phone number so you could be her new best friend.
lol!
25 years since the Eagles went to the Superbowl in 1980. That was a wake up when we heard 25 years. 1980 is the year my husband graduated high school. 25 friggin' years ago!!! Shut up! lol!

Dr Mindcrime: there's no need (please! please! please!) to go into that, but basically there was quite an involved dispute on T2J involving those guys and many others of us. As per usual it stemmed from something innocent and exploded into a monster. The end.

Joe, this is very important to me and if you get the chance please reply to this, if you have the time. Please,
Next year for 2006 NAMM could you PLEASE PLEASE request Ibanez to equip your JS Series line of guitars(the high end Js1000, Js1200 +) with the original EDGE bridges.
I'm not sure you know this but Ibanez is having problems with the Edge Pro bridges on the New 2003+ Guitars. They are not using locking studs on any of the Edge Pro equipped guitars and they are having problems with the saddles inserts that inevitably contribute to a whacked out bridge/string radius and tuning stability problems. It seems that Ibanez's quality is slowly on the decline. They are not even making an Intonation tool for the Edge Pro bridge. An original Edge cannot be swapped onto the Edge Pro equipped guitars since the Edge Pro's bridge is recessed a few MM toward the heel of the guitar and you will never get the original Edge intonated properly. I've been a loyal fan of yours since I was 13 (im now 20) and this is extremely important to me. I feel this is the only thing that is holding the JS series back. If this was not important I would not have asked you, but please I beg of you. I hope you acknowledge this even if you cannot do anything about it. I understand that these Ibanez guitars are massed produced and this may require a major change at the Ibanez factory. If there is any possible way you could at least get Ibanez to improve on the Edge Pro bridge, please bring this to their attention if you have not already. I’m not speaking for just myself here when I say that the original Edge’s BELONG on ALL JS-series, it’s a fact. You play original Edge’s all day and I do not blame you at all. In closing, I’d like to say I am thrilled you are on the mend and getting ready for a new record here in the near future. You have amazed me with everything you have done. Your song Time (track 14 from CP) has changed my life, you have changed my life for the best. You have saved my life Joe and for that I am eternally grateful to you. Thank so much for your dedicated talent and music. Forever your friend/fan
Chris

Finally it's done!!!!! It's not as cool as Stevee T's but, it was his site that spurred me on to try this. Once you click on all the links it loads up a lot faster so, be aware, if you don't have DSL or faster, at first it will take time to load until the cookies are on your computer. Thanks and let me know what you think. Don. (WEBMASTER LOL!!!)

michelle: you should ask her if there are any hotties in the barry manilow fan club. they're always welcome to have my phone number :)
civgeeK: thanks. the question was serious. I still dont understand why they dont come with strap hooks though. It would be wierd for any other guitar to come without them. and what if people want to stand and play the classical guitar?

Wish Me Luck :-)
Once again it is 7:30am...my exam is at 9:00am...am I nervous? Not yet. When I'm waiting outside the exam hall freezing my nips off, having forgotten to put on deodorant and being as unshaven as a badgers arse...then I will be nervous.
It's two exams, 90minutes each and the follow directly after each other. Which means, yes I have to be sat in the same spot, on a rigid plastic chair with tendonitis occuring from writing roughly 1 page every 5 minutes, for 3hrs. This is not going to be what Matt Stone and Trey Parker would call a "Hoot and a holla".
Well anywayz, I'm sure I'll be fine, everyone have a good day now and keep it real...as they say. :-)

Jazzy: Here's the basic info from the product and services page on Chellee.com :
$999.99 for base model
Base model includes a solid body of ash, mahogany, alder, or basswood, a bolt on maple neck, two DiMarzio humbucking pickups, five position switch, a fixed bridge, chrome hardware, pickguard, and an oil/ satin urethane finish.
Options
Third Pickup (single coil) $50.00
Gloss Finish (natural) $120.00
Swirl Finish $500.00
Gloss with Stain $150.00
Book Matched Flame Top $200.00
Seven String Model $50.00
Left Handed Model No Charge
Birdseye Maple Neck $60.00
I should add that these prices are for Peter's model one design, however he is easily capable of building you anything you want: strat, LP, PRS, Tele, thru neck, set neck and any combination you can think up. You just need to send him your idea so he can give you an idea of the costs involved. Heck, Peter has even been thinking of building an electric from a solid plank of wood, neck and body!!
My model one ran me extra for the 3rd pu, transparent red finish, birdseye neck and cool inlays (ripped off of some Taylor inlay designs that Masta P modified for my guitar), the compound radiused neck and the complicated wiring scheme I requested. It was definitely worth it though, and cheap for the build quality. The way I see it, I could basically get my S470 with all of the custom features and improvements that I had always wanted at a great price. Even though Peter and i are good friends, I would never have payed him to build me a guitar if he wasnted as gifted as he is. The only completed demo of my model one is the clip on chellee.com and my site ( chrispeters.net) called Stevie Ray Hendrix. It shows off the raw blues rock tones (mainly the middle pu through a freaked out fender). I've got a tune I'm working on now that shows off a much wider range of tones on the guitar, especially the high gain lead sound. Let me know, and I'll email what I've got so far to you....it'll probably be at least a meg.
SteveeT: I should be attending Jemfest this year. I actually got up and jammed with Matt King of Course of Evolution at last year's show. it was a blast! Great experience! Are you performing at the fest?
