It's Friday joke time..... A woman goes to England to attend a 2-week, company training session. Her husband drives her to the airport and wishes her to have a good trip.

The wife answers, "Thank you honey, what would you like me to bring back for you?" The husband laughs and says, "An English girl!" The woman kept quiet and left.

Two weeks later he picks her up in the airport and asks "So, honey, how was the trip?" "Very good, thank you"."And, what happened to my present?". "Which present?" "What I asked for -- the English girl."

"Oh, that? Well, I did what I could, now we have to wait 9 months to see if it's a girl."

Re: red27 So you play guitar as well do you? What sort of music do you play? I am sure you are good enough to have clicked on it how long have you been playing?

hey red27,

no problems on the interviews :)

when i pick up my guitar i usually just play chords & sing Bealtes songs :) i had lessons in '97-'98 but i have a non-existent attention span - so i stopped, that & my teach kept putting the lessons up!

i have an Ibanez too - it's just a RG one, one of the low models that they make for left-handers

Guitar wiring question. I put in my new pickups per the JEM wiring diagram. But when I flip to my neck pick up I get a lot of feedback. Any suggestions?

This is a first message from a new fan ! Having reached the ripe old age of 50 I suppose I am entitled to embark on a mid life crisis. They say you only have 3 choices ; Rock and Roll, motorbikes or woman ? I chose to continue on my journey down the music route due entirely to an in flight KLM radio show previewing Joe's new album 'Is there love in Space'. Apart from Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, and if I am really honest 'The Beatles' I have never been so overwhelmed by an artist on that day I flew to Japan from the UK. Things got worse when I returned home to the UK and decided to buy all of Joe's other albums. I am completely hooked like the proverviable salmon. I simply cannot understand how this music passed me by. Work is my only excuse ! I then ventured onto this web site and decided my mid life crisis started with a trip to Anaheim on 1 Jan to see Joe in action. My disappointment at the postponement was as you can imagine but I do wish Joe well and hope he has recovered and decides to come to Europe at some stage in the future. Joe your music is awesome. It has given me a new lease of life. My wife is also very happy as it keeps me away from motorbikes !

Don't get me wrong, I am not criticizing Vai, I think he is one of the best, and I'm not accusing him of speeding up his parts, I'm accusing the filmmakers of doing it.It's not sped up by much at any rate.If my memory is correct, then I think the nylon classical stuff sounded funny too....it has been a while since I have seen it.

Ibanez 89, what are you talking about?? At 4.09 PM on Jan 25th the last line of estrela's message was about joe's health. Joe was obviously "on" or just logging on coz he answered her at 4.12 PM... Yes, she was lucky but joe definitly saw her and answered her!!!

CIVGEEK,

can you dend me a copy of your pickup wiring instructions?

are the other pickups less sensitive or something, so that you had the gain turned up higher than normal? I love a good wiring puzzle. That's what gets me going in the morning.

I'll be lurking. I'm turning AIM on right now. I put civgeek in my buddy list. :)

Drummer Ryan Vikedal Leaves Nickelback

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Nickelback is down a drummer following the departure of Ryan Vikedal.

Vikedal has been with Nickelback since its debut album in 1996. His decision to leave was announced in a short statement from EMI, the multiplatinum Canadian band's record label.

"At this time, no replacement for Vikedal has been named and the band wishes Ryan all the best in his future endeavors," the statement said.

Fronted by Chad Kroeger (news), Nickelback is currently working on new material in its home base of Vancouver.

Originally formed in Hanna, Alberta, Nickelback rose to acclaim with songs such as "How You Remind Me" and "Too Bad." The band is up for a Grammy Award in the best hard rock performance category for "Feelin' Way Too Damn Good" on the release "The Long Road."
