DelfinoPie,

Indiana Joe & the Lost...Hamm...haha...that's a good one, or maybe "SuperJoe" with a big "S" on the chest of his chrome outfit & cape! Maybe too blase'!

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Zenfish, I'm sure we can Hash things out...hee, hee...and yes, I saw the Stratacoustic in Manny's in NYC several days ago...I wanted to pick her up & try her, but I didn't have the time...next week I'll make the time!

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Clarky,

So when does the Tour start, and what's it's duration...where will it take you? I agree with you about Vai going in the chrome direction...why do it if Joe's already known for it...the student following the teacher? I like VAI's DNA...reeeal Trippy!

About more videoclips of Joe:

I love the Satch Tapes, I have it on video, DVD and mpg :-) But there were another times...
I agree with jelly man, I really enjoy more seeing him playing live than in a clip, and I guess that Joe is not interested in making more videoclips
This is and old quote of Joe discussing music videos:

"I wish that artists had a way of promoting themselves by actually fronting a band. I even liked those silly lip-syncs that you saw in the early 80's; they were much better at preserving what was actually happening. The bad thing about videos is that they don't actually reflect the band or the music, they generally reflect some idea of what's hip and will attract sales. It's a weird side project, a very expensive, strange world. What historical value does it have? What connection with the band?"

(Guitarist Magazine, Sept. 1996)

Good arguments.

Stevee T, you're well into katie Melua aren't you?! hehe, one of my students said she likes Katie Melua, which made me well happy cause it gave me a great excuse to buy her "Call Off The Search" DVD! It's for teaching purposes...honest!
Delfino, cool, good to hear you're feeling better! Looks like you get the go-ahead for a rockin weekend then! :-)
Clarky, I get what you're saying about vai's new Jem, but he's been looking for ideas for the next anniversary model...the 50,000th-jem-made-and-sold anniversary, so I'd guess he's saving the crazy ideas for that!
LucySorets, haha, cool.....next time I find myself in Madrid I'll invite you for a game of darts! hehe. Also, I agree with you and jelly man, the videos were cool, but I'd rather see Joe wax his money on Live DVD's with cool people like ANDY TIMMONS than on 2 or 3 more videos that only his fans would see!

Dear Joe, My name is Nichole and i will be getting married in Jan 2006. My fiancee loves your music and is a big fan of yours. I was wondering if you have a wedding march song. I would like to surprise him by walking down the aisle with your music in the back ground. This will make him happy. If you do not have the wedding march. Would you mind recording one for me and I will be more than happy to pay for shipping and any other cost you may have. If this is not to much to ask. If you are unable to make the wedding march for me do you have any suggestions of songs from you that I could use. I just want to make our wedding special for both me and him. Please email me with your response at npuaoi@hawaii.edu From a bride to be, Nichole

Help!

I think my Power TAB is incorrect for "Flying"!

It seems they put too many notes in the solo, Does anyone have an accurate version in regular tab or Power TAB?

I would greatly appreciate it.

Catching up on some unread posts since November.....only 7,000 to go : Þ

One in particular stood out. Clarky wrote: " read when I can, as much as I can.. books, science journals, etc.. watch documentaries.. I visit museums.. and occasionally visit a site [castle, battlefield etc].. it's not just history though.. I'm actually into anything and everything - history, sub-atomic physics, cosmology, palaeontology, technology and engineering, music [I think.. lol]etc etc.. I go through these phases of stuff that interests me enough to study it.. "

That's me, to a tee. I'd read a quote on Mike Portnoy's website about his almost obessive/compulsive drive to learn everything there is to know about a subject that interests him.

Nice to know I'm not the only one.

Hi everybody....sorry long time no see, but here is a part of an article I was just browsing from a news article about Pat Martino..... On All Sides Now, Martino is joined by sultry chanteuse Cassandra Wilson, Tuck Andress (of Tuck and Patti), hippie pyrotechnician Michael Hedges and Jay Leno sideman Kevin Eubanks (who had tons of fret-cred before he began playing Doc to Jay's Johnny). The result is both more and less than a standard-issue tribute CD. All Sides Now has more musical integrity and less star excess (with the exception, perhaps, of the studio-gobbling performance by hard-rock wizard Joe Satriani).

For his part, from his duet with Satriani to a cover of Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now" with Wilson,

SteveeT- Katie Melua for Prime Minister? Well, I doubt she'd be much worse than Tony Blair...

Symbiotic, I owned a Jem7v and sold it last year. the new ones are not as good as the old ones, and certainly not worth 1800 dollars. I'd personally suggest that you consider the Andy Timmons model, the AT300. It's really versatile, it sounds amazing, I'm sure it plays like a dream and it's maintainence cost will be much, much lower. Also, if you decided to re-sell it, it'd be worth more.

That said, $1800 would get you a really, really good guitar if you're prepared to buy second-hand. you might find an older Jem, which would be much better than the half-assed new cr*p they're shelling out!

IbanezMike, the guage will be 9's so there's quite a few to choose from, but i'd suggest restringing it with D'Addario XL 9-42's.....I've always found them pretty consistent and nice to play on a Floyd Rose type trem.

Steven Wilde - thanks for your post and your congratulations, my birthday was cool, I could do whatever I wanted to... :-), so lets see what the 28. year of my life will bring... I hope only positive things....

962 - thanks too for your congratulations, I had a cool birthday :-)
I knew the cancellation from the Downhill in Kitzbühel because of the snow, here in Vienna the last 48 hours it had been snowing non-stop , and now there´s so much snow in the city, that you could put on your skis (or your snowboard) right doin´one step out of the house.....

Hey all of you guys,
just wanted to say that I´m happy to see this community growing every day......everytime I do a quick jump to this site I see that new fans have registered, also if not every fan is posting something (captain chaos would have his fun...hehe), I think that´s a very positive feed-back for joe, the band, the webmaster and everyone at satriani.com that they all do their jobs very well.......
And finally I would be very happy to see Joe live at one of the music festivals around here in europe in summer. I love to see him performing live, because everytime I see him in concert I´m asking myself: Who has more fun – Joe on stage or the audience listening to the musical magic of Joe?

Have a great day everyone...... tune ;-)
