Steven Wilde,

I'm no computer expert either, I let my webmaster do the uploading of info on my site, but I'm sure we've got some computer talent here that can help you with your site!

Sounds like you're rockin out on the new tunes, but I still don't hear any vocals yet....I've got a deal for you...If I don't have to do any vocals then you don't either" lol ...I'd rather play guitar anyway!

Peace

Thanks to MICHELLE, HOIGUY79, 962, LUCY SORETS, STEVEN WILDE for the nice words ! It's great to talk to people that know exactly what I feel! (what I felt yesterday!!) ....................................................................................

DRUNFAS : estrela is my nickname! My name is Marcia and I'm a new friend of the Satchland! Glad to meet you! .......................................................................................

RBREIT: Wellcome to "Talk to Joe"! This thing that happened to you is really great! start playing guittar after 36 years! man this really mean a lot to you! estrela,

Wow...glad you're feeling the love! Sorry to hear you're going through a tough time, and hope you come out the other side of the storm soon!

lol is a short abbreviation for "Laugh Out Loud" it's not a stupid question...how would anybody know that ROTFLMAO = "Rolling on the floor laughing my ass off" without asking someone at some point?

"The Satch Tapes" is such a great treat to watch, and pretty funny with Nigel Tufnel, and all of his Spinal Tap humor...love all of Joe video's on that DVD...

I wish Joe would do some more MTV type video's, but I guess it's probably very expensive, and the market place isn't into Guitar Legends right now, BUT WE ARE!

I'd like to see a Joe Satriani full feature film like "Indiana Satriani & the Temple of Guitar", or somethin silly like that!

Anyway, thanks for visiting my site, and your kind words about it.

I'm going to send TJ2 members free copies of my CD if they're interested as soon as the packaging is completed...which reminds me it should be done by now...hmmm let me see....

Peace, Love & Happiness

Stevee T, within the last 6 hours, LucySorets posted the news that on the Vai site it was mentioned that SV,JS,JP will be doing a G3 in Japan. I checked Steve's site and there it was, dates not picked yet. So sounds like it's gonna happen...ya think JP is John Petrucci? :) I think we need to lobby for G3 to do the states too!

And yes, I checked John Petrucci's site but it doesn't have any info on a G3, no new tour dates listed since 2004.

Ya know, ya might want to consider cutting back, you're getting very ssssstttttttraaaaaaaannnnnge! :)

Edit: answered Stevee T to save a post!

Welcome to the site. I am pretty new here too, and the people here have been great.

I am going for the world record of most times listening to 1 song. I got the song Flying in a Blue Dream set to repeat on my cd player. My wife is very glad I have earphones. I even hear the song in my dreams now.

Welcome back Joe, I almost fell off my chair when I saw the BLUE words on my screen.

I'm sorry I missed it. For a while I was lurking all the time, clicking "refresh" in my browser to see updates. My security settings don't let me use the "last viewed message". If I restart my PC, my internet history and cookies go bye-bye.

Welcome back Joe (i'm jumping up and down with a stupid grin on my face).

How does Joe sustain those long notes while using the tremelo? if I use my compressor, the other stings start making sounds as the gain goes up.

I had the compressor turned all the way up so I could hear my kids talking in the same room! Weird.

Does Joe turn down the tone? What kind of pedal sounds like Joe, or does he even use a pedal?

My pedal seems to make it sound like Metal, instead of Blues. I am gonna experiment with my home-built Marshal Blues Breaker to see if I can get the right sound.

Was wondering why there were so many posts, then I saw the blue...

Hi all! And now for some personal anecdoty stuff. Remember this spider story? Well yesterday after returning home from the radio station (same place I got the other one) I got out of the car and there it was on the door. In a mad panic I slammed the door and looked around for a large object to attempt to smoosh it with. Not finding anything, I was limited to my sandal, but the mongrel was so huge this was not going to work. It ran quickly to the front mudguard, and no joke it was so big its legspan was the width of the mudguard. I swiftly kicked the guard and ran away, so as not to give the huntsman a chance to touch my foot. It scuttled away to the next car, and I lost it. I went around the other side and saw my neighbour's cat looking intently under the car. Not sure if it caught it or not, but I left my car out in the sun anyway (it was 30 degrees yesterday) because they like the shade and hate hot cars.

Shudder.

Stevee T, hmmm, I shall have to think about whether to forgive you or not.........okay, I thunked about it and I guess you're forgiven, but only this time, DON'T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN!! Lol! And let me just say, there is nothing *twitch* at all *twitch twitch* wrong *eyes bobbing all around twitch twitch* with ME!! I'm perfektly phine! ;)

Edit: Thanks Artanis 1, it works now!!!! Ewwwwwww...

Cheese I originally put a dud link in for the purpose of finding it later and then putting it in with an edit. I was banking on noone trying it in the meantime. I had it working before your post came up so I'm guessing you just missed out. Try it again now.

anyone (for whatever reason) wanting to know what it kinda looked like, these are pretty similar. Warning, there's a really gross close up.

Stevee T, ahhhh..... Like natural harmonics, or...

I get it, the feedback actually causes a sympathetic vibration in the string, thus causing a perpetual note? Just as a the wind blowing at a certain velosity can make a bridge vibrate and colapse. Cool.

Anyone here ever read Tin-Tin books? I did as a teen. I remember the professor guy in one story made some sort of giant speaker that caused earthquakes or something.

Thanks Stevee T. Oh, how about the distortion or tone settings? And does Joe use a compressor or chorus?

I have a compressor from Ibanez, an DOD Ice Box chorus, and a DOD digital delay pedal. Also the homemade Marshal Blues Breaker pedal an som cheap Arion distortion pedal, and an original Rockman.

bigbadmoon1889 You could maybe build one? I got some plans for one, but I understand not everyone has solder running through their veins like me.

Actually, I hope their is no solder in me.

I did a google search a while back for "guitar effects schematics", and hit the motherload. Tons of factory and homebrew stuff.

I just like taking things apart and fixing stuff. My home made Marshall Blues Breaker distortion pedal sounds good with no noise, but the homemade box is kinda funny looking. :)

Since it was a "Blues Breaker" I put a super bright blue LED in it. It has an unpainted polished aluminum box, so the LED looks cool in the dark!
