Steven Wilde...you can trust that all that is said is pleasant & very edifying to the human spirit...and that's all that matters...in the end....................our time is so short, our feeling's so deep, our wisdom comes so late...., but not too late to make a difference....whoa....why I'm am I at 30,000 fathoms?

Yo Austin, yep, that was me asking if you were gonna make either the Ventura or Anaheim show...... Chris and I are going to BOTH of those, and then later same month are going to the Portland show! Wheeeeeee!! So I hope you can go to one of the Cali shows at least! Good to see you back on here!

Estrela, yes, INSANELY happy with all the opportunities to see Joe in April!!! I like this kind of insanity very much!! I'm glad your son is into guitar, as music is very good for all of us, and especially Joe's music. It has such heart and emotion in it!

SteveeT, yep, it's God's country out here. I just drove from Klamath Falls to Eugene and back today, picking up a state car from the motor pool up there...absolutely gorgeous scenery over the Willamette Pass and up in the valley. You should come back to visit some time!

Civgeek, "drive south till you smell it, then west till you step in it"........oh man, gonna have to get you for that one. You won't know how, when or where, but I WILL GET YOU!! LOL! I love Corvallis and don't take lightly insults about it!! Grrrrrrrrr!!! By the By, I don't see your name as attending the April 16th concert in Portland...........don't tell me you're not going to see Joe when he's right in your neighborhood? We'll be there!

Mari, hope you really can work something out for the 2 concerts in Cali...have you bought tickets yet? You need to make friends with a travel agent to get a really good deal!!

Jazzzzzy, that was very nice of you to make peace with Namm Man, and vice versa! Don't let yourself get too run down with school!! Gotta live life too!

Steven, hey there hi there ho there!! You sound like you are enjoying life in sunny California and that is so good to hear!! Hugs to you!

Michelle, Super Bowl is coming...................you aren't planning on watching it or anything, are you? :)

Oh, I guess I'll say happy 100th post to me! Have a good evening all!!

Oh, and Joe, looks like you are jumping back into your touring schedule with both feet....hope you feel up to it and don't run yourself down again!! Looking forward to seeing you healthy, AND on stage!!! Take care! :)

hey everyone, man i used to be a regular here. it's been a while. i've been busy. but i have a question for all of you tech-heads out there, and it's a simple one that i know many of you will be able to help me with. in fact, it's so simple that i feel like an idiot because i used a somewhat advanced setup for home producing/recording, and well here is my problem: how do i mount a rack unit? i got a rack and a 'mounting kit' type thing with screws and washers, but don't i need nuts to secure the screws? why the hell wouldn't they include that in a kit? or with my rack units? also, both of the units i have are 1U sized, but one is probably half the size in length as the other one, and in fact the larger one sticks out the back of my rack. is this a bad thing? i assume these things are sturdy enough to be held up with screws in the front panel, but it always seems to me like they should have some support underneath them. just paranoid i guess. thanks for any help you can give me!

VFRocker - Enviro huh? That's toooo much chemistry for me. I am getting my degree in Civil with an emphasis on transportation. I was a carpenter for 20 years and now I'm ready for desk job. And it pays better.

Cheese - I'll be on the lookout!!! I haven't bought tix for Joe or Vai yet. Remember I'm a student with a wife that supports 5 people. We have to do some budgeting (especially since Michelle is an accountant) for extra purchases. I have talked her into letting me get the Vai premium pack if they are still available when the money is. She is also going to go see Joe w/ me, so that $$ has to be set aside in portions untill we have it all. The nice thing is that I will get to see you twice that month and it is at the beginning of the qtr so I shouldn't be too slammed w/ homework. see you in April!!

Austin - Nice to see you back !!! Nice pics, too!!

Evbro If I was you I would get e different rack. You should be able to thread the screws into the front rails without nuts. You should also be able close the rack with your gear inside. That is kinda the point of the rack, protection. You should also be able to get mounting plates for the half rack stuff or you can do what I did and mount them to the wood part of the box. The last option is to make your own box. I don't know how handy you are but there is not a lot to the boxes. Hope that helps.

ibanezghsman - Thanks for the feedback. My local store has one for $500 bucks that I may just HAVE to get. I'm surprised that you find the Wizard II neck wide. I have an RG with the original Wizard and that feels like a freeway sometimes it's so wide. How you liken the snow this year? I have a friend that is at MIT this year. He has C.Palsy and uses crutches or a wheel chair. I asked him if he riding the snowmobile yet.LOL He's had a heck of a time and cannot wait to get to the rain of the NW.

Net users are being told to avoid a scam website that claims to collect cash on behalf of tsunami victims.

The web address of the fake site is decuk.org which could be close enough to the official www.dec.org.uk address to confuse some people keen to donate.
